Trails End Restaurant history

Trails End definately has gone up in price over the past few years, but compared to the other resorts, for what you get, it is still a better value.

I miss the full service menu at Crockett's Tavern, they used to have some of the best faiitas around and of course, the strawberry shortcake. The 'make your own pizza' at night was good too.

They still have good nachos, but the problem comes in with seating. I don't care to sit at the bar & sometimes it is full, but they are really stingy about letting you sit at one of the tables by the bar & can make a big deal about it. A couple of times on every trip my wife & I go over in the late evening to get an order of nachos for a late snack, then they have to get it approved for us to sit at one of the tables, even though almost all are vacant.

Sometimes the things they do don't make sense & you wonder who is making ill-informed decisions & policies.

As we probably all agree, someone does need to make a decision to expand & put in some sort of counter service type restaurant there. It is long overdue.

Trails End has reinvented itself alot over the years. Some good and some not so good times. My family loved the "make your own pizza" the best. I remember some delicious sangria as well.:woohoo:

The banjo player was great. Our daughter, about five at the time had just spent a day at Magic Kingdom with all the wonderful audio animatronics. She wasn't sure if the banjo player was real.

After a few glasses of that good sangria, we weren't sure if the banjo player was real either.
