Its been a loooong time since we were there last. 8 years.

But back in the day, it was sort of a joke here on the Dis to talk about the Trails End pizza. It tasted like the cardboard box it came in.

Surely, this has changed? Our family loves pizzas but our memories from 2008 of that pizza are by far, the worst we've ever had. Many others expressed the same thoughts back then. We return in four weeks.

We intended to pick up a pizza last night but the line was out the door. So I bought a frozen red baron Pizza from the camp store and cooked it in the cabins oven. It tasted really good but maybe that's because I was starving. The pizza cost $5.49.

Many of the outside Pizza places will deliver to the Outpost. Some are better than others but they are all better than Trails End Pizza!

While waiting to pick up my giddy-up-and-go chicken dinner at TE last month I saw the cook "make" the pizzas...they were pre-made frozen. Just like the ones you picked up at the camp store! He just tossed (literally) the frozen disk into the oven.

Well, not sure of how it tasted 8 years ago as my first tasting was last year. My opinion, just ask for the box and sprinkle some cheese on it.

Somebody accidentally dropped a slice in one of the canals and it caused an environmental incident.

The recipe is actually quite old. It was originally the formula used by the Egyptians for mummification.

Captain America's shield is actually just a painted large pizza from TE.

Well. It sounds like if we do pizza, it will definitely be in a park somewhere or it will come from "the outside".

As bad as it was, its hard to believe they haven't changed it for I know, at least 8-9 years.

 .... REALLY? FROZEN? Wow. I suppose though it does make sense. They have a big demand for the food and to try and make that many "Fresh" could be a challenge. Makes me wonder though, could they have made them there and then freeze them until they are needed? I know when I was younger, we used to make pizza every Saturday (Pre-made crust though). We would have enough ingredients for 4 pizza's and frequently only went through 3 or even 2. So we would freeze the other pizza's (uncooked) so that if we wanted it for a quick meal later on it was ready. Didn't taste the same as fresh though.

Anyway, I have a different opinion of the pizza. I don't think it was that bad when we had it in August 2016. That said, it wasn't the best pizza I ever had, but I wouldn't put it in the class of "Cardboard with Cheese". It's Basic Pizza that's probably overpriced for what it is but not for Disney. IMHO.

If we want pizza we buy a frozen Dijourno from Walmart for a third of what Disney charges. It really is disappointing that Disney takes something as easy to prepare as a pizza and then gives guests a weak, frozen, factory made mess.

We stayed 15 nights and tried both the large pepperoni pizza and the cheese pizza. it was really good. Wasn't a long wait and very convenient. sambuster

Has anybody who likes The Disney Pizza ever had a Real New York City Pizza?????????

Seriously though. I have had NYC Pizza, Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, Old Forge Pizza, Sicilian, Deep Dish, Traditional, Square, White, Red, artisan, Even vegetarian and crustless pizza.... Cheap Pizza, Expensive pizza, fresh pizza, frozen pizza, store bought pizza, homemade pizza, hot pizza, Cold pizza and leftover pizza. I have even made a "Low Carb" Pizza (with a cauliflower crust... it was actually quite good too). Suffice it to say, I have had my fair share of pizza.

I will take the TE Pizza over Pizza Hut Deep dish pizza ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Pizza Hut's Deep dish pizza crust is nothing but oil soaked bread. There is so much grease in the crust that they should just deep fry it and get it over with already.

Now my experience with the TE pizza was only once in August this past year. It is NOT the best pizza I have ever had, but I have had much much worse. I probably rank the TE pizza up there (taste wise) up there with Little Ceaser's pizza. It would not be my first choice particularly for the price, but when the kids are given a choice of the Giddy-up and Go or Pizza.... They go with Pizza every time.

On a one to ten scale I'd give the TE Pizza (compared to All other Pizza's I have had) about a 3.5 (Low side of average)

Cuzz my wife and I are from NY Me LI and Her Brooklyn TE "PIZZA" doesn't deserve the name Anything cooked on a conveyor belt is not Pizza

Michael the box with some cheese would be a major improvement. I saw some dropped on the ground and watched The NSS don Bio-Hazard suits before cordoning the area off and removing in Red Bags

The only place on property with good pizza is going to be Via Napoli Epcot World Showcase Italy. Of course you need a reservation and a pie will cost you 30 bucks! However, we get good pizza a home. Speaking of Pizza, my tour guide for the KTTK tour was from Long Island. We had a great discussion about pizza and bread during our lunch. She said she missed good pizza, bagels and Italian bread while living in Florida.

TE pizza is OK for a quick meal. It works. Just don't have really high expectations for it.

So we had a TE pizza the other day. That one was horrible (despite my previous comments). The rust was burnt along the edge and the sauce had a medicinal quality to it. Fortunately was only a holdover until Our late meal At the HDDMR.
