Has anyone been lately? We will be at VWL and was wondering if it was worth the trip over.

I love their breakfast, and really enjoy their lunch and dinner as well. IMHO, it is one of the best restaurant bargains on property.

You can walk from the WL to FW in about 15 minutes, maybe 20 if you have kids.

We try to have 1 breakfast at Trails End. When we were there a few months ago, it was good.

I have heard great things about the breakfast there, we are planning on trying it also!

If you go for breakfast or lunch, ask for Ken - he's great! Donnell is terrific too.

My family and I ate there for Thanksgiving buffet. We were less than thrilled. Maybe their regular buffet, with the fried chicken, is better.

The ham and turkey rolls tasted the same. Most of their stuff was just unappetizing to us. The salad bar was very good though. Green beans and mashed potatoes along with the seafood bisque was pretty good. Everything else was meh.

I also love the breakfast, and think it is one of the best bargins at WDW. :cool1:

We ate there Nov 24 and 25 for breakfast. It is very good with a small but good variety. The main plusses are price and Donuts. :) Oh and the breakfast Pizza is very good.

We found the Trail's End hard to get to and it took a long time. The buffet had a poor set up and long lines (dinner). The food was okay, but not worth the effort in my opinion.

The Trail's End has the same food as the Hoop Dee Doo, at a fraction of the cost with no show. The fried chicken and the ribs are great! We will also go at lunch (no ribs, I think) so we can visit the petting zoo and take a pony ride.

In my opinion, dinner was just so-so. We ate there this month. I have heard breakfast is good (confirmed by other posters). If you are looking for a filling buffet at a good price, it might be for you if you are not a picky eater. If you are on the dining plan, I'd pick another buffet. My dd didn't like anything, not even the pizza. It took us 3 minutes to drive to Ft. Wilderness from POR for a pony ride and 50 minutes on a bus transfer from DtD to go eat. Crazy! You can walk from WL however, so that might not be too bad if you are just looking to explore and eat while you are there.
