Can someone tell me how to get to Trail's End from MK?

Also......in my past it's come highly recommended, do most of you agree with that?

One more....do any of you have a link to their menu or listing of what is on the buffet and prices?

Thanks!

To get to the Trail's End Buffeteria, take the boat to Fort Wilderness from the MK. The Trails' End is very good. We have eaten all three meals there and the variety of foods is perfect for all tastes and ages. There is a menu and prices at www.wdwig.com. Enjoy! :)

I second Dana49's answer. The boat is the nicest way to go. Take a hayride for $8/person before your dinner, then watch the Electrical Water Pageant. I think FtW is the best place to watch it because it's so dark along the beach. Then you've got a pleasant boat ride back. The food is good, service is good sometimes great and the price is reasonable. They also have good pizza's in the bar in front of the restaurant.

Since Bonfamille's closed and Tony's no longer serves breakfast, Trails End and Yacht Club Galley are my favorite breakfasts. Trails End service, food and prices can't be beat on property.

Do you have to be staying at a resort in order to go and eat there?

Thanks for everyone's help on this!

You don't have to stay in a resort to eat at any of the resort restaraunts on WDW

We just got back from our first stay at Ft. W., and one of the nicest surprises was the quality of this buffet. We weren't too thrilled with Hoop-dee-doo, especially when we ate at Trails End the next night and got three times the variety of food for about a third of the price! Our waiter told us that the TE chef has been making soup there for twenty years, and it was really, really excellent. There was also a nice variety. One night, for example, they had a curry dish, venison stew, chicken, ribs, pizza, etc. Plus DS was thrilled that they had good old bananas, apples, pears, etc. Are definitely going to eat there again on our nonpark days...
