What is the Trails End Buffet like for all three meals? Staying at WL and wondering if it is worth the boat ride over for any of these meals? How is the pizza?

We go there every trip now for either lunch or dinner. I preferred dinner - because of the choices. But it was good downhome kind of food - hot and tasty - and a very relaxing atmosphere. We love it there. And the trip to Fort Wilderness is really relaxing and the walk to the the restaurant is really nice. And the price is right! I'd highly recommend it.

we have eaten both breakfast and dinner there. both are very good. it is an easy walk from WL, but of course at night i would not attempt it! no PS are taken here.

We've done lunch there. It's nice, easy to get to, and for the price beats eating counter service!

I like it. Not fine dining. You have to sort of "get" the ft. wilderness atmosphere. It is easier to get to from the boat from wilderness lodge than from ft. wilderness on the internal bus. The service is friendly. The food is good comfort food - ribs, mac and cheese, fried chicken, chili, peel and eat shrimp, pizza, usually something extra on the "cutting board." Its good for parties with a range of people - kids to older folks, because most everyone will find something to like, it is straight forward. Don't expect boma flavors of africa or akershaus pickeled herring or Chef Mickey characters. But do expect good sweet tea and overly sweet corn bread. Fun to come over to the fort and see the petting zoo, etc., a slower pace than a lot of wdw.

Oh, the pizza is kind of standard wdw pizza, cheese or pepperoni. Your not going to come back and write a post about how great the pizza is, but your not going to turn it down, either.

We like it and plan to eat there next month. Never tried the pizza, but the dinner buffet is just good, homestyle food. Of course there are finer rest's @WDW, but this is a nice change of pace.

We've only eaten at Trails End for breakfast and have loved it! We eat there on our MK day and then spend the day at MK and skip lunch. The food is down-home cooking...no low fat here. We really like it though, and the price can't be beat!

When we stayed at FW cabins, we ordered a pizza and honestly, I thought it was pretty good and not really all that bad of a price.

I hope to eat lunch or dinner at Trails End one of these days....I hear the fried chicken is the same as the chicken at the HDDR, and we really liked that!

Trails End have excellent food. I like because it has southern food.

I am planning on eating there June 2005 once for breakfeast and dinner because it has become one my favorvites.

We have an RV and are staying at FW again over Christmas. DH often goes to TE and gets the breakfast to go while DS & I are getting ready. It's exactly what you would expect from a breakfast buffet anywhere. We will be eating there one night for dinner. I don't care for buffets, but DH & DS love it there. It is convenient for a relaxing last night. We also went one time with extended family, and everyone except me seemed to really enjoy it. One meal we always have while at WDW is the pizza from TE. DH orders it while DS & I go to the beach to get a table. We enjoy our pizza, while watching MK fireworks and the Floating Pageant. You can also get home baked goodies to accompany your pizza.

how much is the pizza? can it be taken as take-out (boxed)?

The pizza is somewhere in the $14-16 price range and it is offered as take out. It is a big pizza and feeds our family of 6 with usually a piece or two left over. By Disney standards ..... not a bad deal! :)

We plan on doing a resort day at WL and going over to FW for the zoo and horseback riding, so maybe we will hit Trail's End for lunch.
