Hi I am thinking of making an ADR here for dinner for our trip in Dec. Has anyone been to the dinner buffet recently? Opinions please! :goodvibes

Claire :)

We were just there mid-December. How good was it? We went back the next night to eat there again! Highly recommended--good food and good atmosphere.

We were there in October. I have been to a lot of WDW restaurants and this one is at the very bottom of my list. I think we hit it on a bad night, but it was reallly bad. Not only the food, but the condition of the restaurant was a mess.

We were there in early Dec. We really liked it. And after eating, don't forget to plan some time to walk around FW and see the camper's Christmas decorations.

Our Ratings of Trails End: (rev 10/4/11)
. . . food price value: B
. . . food quality: B
. . . food quantity: B
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: C
. . . eatery atmosphere: B
. . . eatery convenience: D
. . . staff friendliness: B
. . . staff attentiveness: C
. . . character interaction: n/a

NOTE: The above ratings are for breakfast and dinner,
which have good, tasty comfort food. We like them both
as dining alternatives, as they are reasonably priced,
especially for Disney. Lunch, however, is far-far behind
in quality and value. In Spring-2011, they changed lunch
menus and we no longer recommend midday Trail's End.
For dinner, try the "make-your-own-potato" bar.

We went to Trails End summer during our visit. We thought it was a good value. The food was good. No complaints about the service (of course it is buffet, so am the wait staff is refill beverages). We enjoyed our visit to FTW.

Thanks for your replies :goodvibes

Sounds like it would be a good option for our first full day - we will be at MK so can just get the boat over.
Thanks to jo - jo for the reccommendation about the Christmas decorations, sounds lovely :thumbsup2

Our last visit was in November and we really enjoyed it. Service was excellent and the variety of foods and presentation were quite good. Something for everyone. The only down part for us was getting there .....but we enjoy it there, so we make the best of it.

Great thankyou :goodvibes

DD is a bit of a fussy eater - she will eat chicken nuggets and fries, but not much else on the standard kids menus. Therefore I am trying to find buffets to do so that she can have some of her usual meat and 2 veg that she loves at home!! Nice to know that there is something for everyone!

Thanks again

Claire :)
