I think our plan, since DDP is letting you use 1TS for 1 CS + 2 snack credits, is to use 3 adult TS for the 5 of us (Me, DH, DS10, DS6 and DS2) at sit down restaurants and save the Child TS credit for a childs CS plus 2 snacks instead.
Hubby and I are not big eaters and I think that 3 adult TS is plenty for the five of us, DS2 is not going to eat that much. As for the kids they are usually hungry a couple of hours later so for us it would make sense to use that child TS for a child CS and 2 snacks and the 3 kids can just split that stuff as a mid afternoon snack or bed time snack. Does that make sense?
From what I have read on previous posts it seems that sharing is not a problem when you are at a TS and ordering from a menu. (I know that at buffets we all have to use our credits, except DS2 who is free).
Also, even with ordering 3 adult TS for the 5 of us that is still way more food than we would order if we were paying out of pocket.
So for example - when we go to Whispering Canyon we can order the kids the nachos to share, DH and I can have a side salad. For main course we can order a chicken, fish and steak entree and split them and then order 3 desserts to share. I still think that is going to be way too much food.
If something changes and we can't share or Disney changes the TS = CS + 2 snacks then we'll just adapt at the time.
