We have a Trader Joes in the area & I never really shopped there because I thought it was over priced. Boy, was I wrong!!! I pass it everytime I go to my chiropractors and they (my Dr.) turned me onto the shaved steak there that you use to make steak grinders with  Now that I stop every once in awhile (when I have an appt in the area), I am wondering what other foods are great finds. 1 of the women that I work with brought in orange chicken (the kind you would get at a Chinese restaurant) that she purchased there and that was awesome too! I went today & got my shaved steak, the chicken, and some cashews (their prices on nuts beat everyone else around here).

What are some of your favorites from Trader Joe's?

I always buy the Mandarin Chicken. It is very tasty but I think terrible for you!:)

I also buy the Fage Greek Yogurt with Honey.

Barbara's Cinnamon Puffins cereal.

Most of their frozen veggies.

Pita Chips with Sea Salt.

Their noodle boxes are great, waffles, frozen veggies, grain mix, pre-packaged soups.

I *love* Trader Joes! My favs are:

Butternet Squash Soup
Tomato Basil Soup
Pumpkin Seeds
50% salt Almonds
Caramel Yogurt
"trader mings" peanut noodles
Any hummus
Frozen Pad Thai
Choc. covered frozen bananas
Blueberry ice cream
Any of their frozen fish

You must try the Frozen Mochi. It's balls of ice cream wrapped in dough - it is FANTASTIC.

I LOVE Trader Joes. Some of my favorites are coconut ice cream that comes in little coconut shells.. frozen mushroom soup... bagel chips...foccacia bread... teas and coffees... frozen brown rice... they have some really good frozen asian dishes. Ok, now that I think about it, I have a lot of favorites from TJ's.

So many that I can't even start to list them all.

I am heartbroken that they have stopped carrying the chocolate chip pancake mix they used to make. I loved that. I wish I had known a head of time. I would of stocked up.

Once in a while I have found a few things we don't love. You just bring it back, or even just tell them and they will give you the $ back, or something new in exchange.

Remember the candy can jojo's at Christmas time????? Yummy!

Oh, the chocolate volcano cakes are to die for. In the frozen section.

Spinish and artichoke dip is good too.

I can go on and on...................

I have one about a 1/4 mile from my house. I can ride my bike there. Good thing I have a big basket on it.

I love Trader Joe's, too. They've just opened up a few around Atlanta-- none super near me, but I'm always willing to drive there!

My favorites so far:
--frozen pizza and flatbreads
-- Two Buck Chuck
-- bottled green tea
-- snacks (pita chips, interesting flavors of potato chips)
-- TJ's brand beer
-- cheese

Their frozen mac and cheese is amazing. My kids gobble it up and its so much better for them then that fake orange stuff Stouffer makes. My other favorite is their Cioppino. I’m not a huge fan of mussels, so I take them out and add some Trader Joe Chinese Scallops.

Just went to TJs the night before last. This is what I bought:

Dried Granny Smith apple chips
A bottle of Pinot Grigio
Hansen's diet tangerine soda
Applewood smoked turkey bacon
Magherita pizza
Frozen chicken tenderloin breasts
Trader Ming's Peanut Satay noodles and sauce
Bruschetta sauce
Organic and fair trade chocolate bars
Wild blueberry pie

I'm bummed that there is not one here. We just moved from Vegas and I love Trader Joes. Some people prefer Wild Oats and Whole Foods, but I find them more expensive. I am an Air Force brat and growing up in England I ate Weetabix for cereal all the time. Well, they sell it at Trader Joes and now my kids love it, great that it happens to be organic too! I can buy it here at Albertsons but it is about $4.00 a box, at TJ it is $2.75.

I love trader Joe's
I get their Pizza dough
White chocolate covered strawberries
sugar free chocolate bars
chocolate volcano cakes
burritos

Parmesan cheese shredded in a bag.
Strawberry Kefir
Frozen fish
Joe's O
wholewheat bagels
canned marinara sauce
sushi
The roasts
flax pasta:hippie:

I did not know about them. I'm on South Beach. Thanks:banana:

I haven't been to Trader Joe's in a while, but I always loved their chocolate covered cranberries - YUMMY!

Honey Macademia Nut Cereal, Chocolate Cat Cookies (for people!), Sweet and Hot Mustard...love TJ's. The people are always so nice, too.

DD lives on their gnocchi--in the freezer section.
We love their chocolate chip cookies, fresh fish--esp. salmon, their canned herring--(it's really good, and I'm not fan of herring!) , their cereals, tempura shrimp, hmm, oh, and the dogs love their garlic tabs.
PhD--we just bought the chocolate cakes. I'm dying to try them for dessert! And thanks for the heads up on their satisfaction guarantee--we tried the garlic fries--no one liked them. I'll let 'em know at TJ's next time I'm there!:)

Their frozen Jasmine Rice rocks! Which is why they never have it in stock. :headache:

We love the garlic fries. The kids don't like the garlic though, so we leave half out and we get extra garlic on ours.

Be careful with the chocolate cakes. Don't over cook them, they get cooked in the middle and not fudge. Not nearly as good that way. Better to be mushy then over cooked. They are just fine in the microwave, as long as you take them out in time.

I am going to give the shaved steak a try. I might run up there now. I need something for dinner. My niece is over, so I don't even have to take the kids out. I should review this thread before I leave.

Frozen tamales
Frozen enchilades
Frozen potstickers
Trader Joe's whey protein powder
Trader Joe's 30/30/30 protein - energy bars
Trader Joe's truffles (pear flavor) although they only taste like sinful, rich, dark chocolate to me.
(oh, it's not carried in all regions. Don't know why. :confused3

Any of their fresh, premade salad bowls - the gorgonzola, walnut is especially good. :thumbsup2

Trader Joe's olive oil

If you have cats, they have the cheapest cardboard scratchers.

OP, what section is the shaved steak in? Is it frozen?

So many things, but the things that seem to be staples on the list are:

TJ's Cornbread mix...with real corn...yummy and reasonable!
TJ's Honey whole wheat pretzels
Spanikopita triangles
An Asian frozen vegetable mix for stir fry with a soy sauce packet
Frozen Edammame...hard to find in reg. groc. stores other than like Whole Foods, etc.

We discover something new each time we go!
