Love Tj's! :cool1:

We're finally going to get one here! Just in time because a friend of mine went to California and brought me back from TJ a tub of the Kettle Corn Cookies. I don't even LIKE kettle corn, but holy cow, these were some of the best cookies I've ever had. Salty, sweet, buttery, NOM!

She also brought me from there this delicious bar of chocolate called Firecracker. It was dark chocolate with flakes of salt, cayenne pepper flakes and pop rocks! Now I've had salted chocolate, and I've had the pepper chocolate, but all together it was magnificent. Then as it melted the pop rocks would start cracking and it was hilarious. Funnest candy bar I've ever eaten ;)

Since we already have the flagship Whole Foods, we will have a lot of great options :)

Love TJs!!

I always buy...

We love:
Spanish olive oil
cheeses, esp their Cabot sharp cheddar, lite string cheese, parmesan, grated mozzarella, goat cheese: their cheeses are all well-priced and good quality
bruschetta topping -the cold stuff in the plastic tub
yogurt covered cookie stars
some of their wine is great, though I think that varies a lot store to store
whole wheat bread
great gluten free pastas and crackers, etc, for my husband
great prices on butter
Greek yogurt
vanilla

In general, I think their prices on produce and meat are high and nothing special, so I rarely buy those items there

Has anybody mentioned cookie butter?

OMG to die for. Like if peanut butter and nutella had a baby - it'd be cookie butter!!

Nothing healthy about it, but quite delish!

To die for

*milk* chocolate covered pretzels (don't care for the dark)

milk chocolate covered pretzels stuffed with peanut butter are obscene

My closest T-Joe's is in Warwick, RI (40 mins from me in MA) - and I have also been to 2 in the Boston area:

1. Dark chocolate mini PB cups :-_ (drooling)
2. Maple-Pecan granola (so delish sprinkled on fat-free yogurt)
3. Vodka sauce (for pasta)
4. Chocolate boxed frosting (add unsalted butter and hot H20) WOW !!!
5. Frozen mashed potatoes (heat in microwave)
6. Strawberry preserves
7. Pizza sauce ( "0" grams of fat)
8. Homemade salsa (awesome in salsa chicken/crockpot recipe)
9. General Tso's stirfry sauce
10. Frozen edammame (toss in stir fries or homemade fried rice)
11. Low fat mozzarella shredded cheese
12. Chicken potstickers (frozen)

A couple of items that I won't buy again ...

* pizza dough - blah (and even worse frozen and thawed)
* black bean and corn salsa - gross, threw it out
* OJ -nothing special here - I just prefer the Simply Orange brand
* hummus - tried it, wanted to like it, but I just don't
* Savory Thins crackers - like mini cardboards with zero "savory" flavor ; I
give these to my dogs as a "treat" when they are behaving , and they
seem to enjoy them ;-)
*Onion rings snacks (like Funions, but not really) - disgusting (not even for
dogs who like the above crackers)
*Ginger granola - A T-Joes sales rep recommended these as the best ever,
but I thought they were horrid. Even my DH (who eats almost any
food, didn't care for them)
*British muffins - I honestly like these, however I think they have no pre-
servatives in them or something since they seem to spout mold within
1-2 days after I buy them (and before the expiration/ "sell by" date

The award for the BEST OF THE BEST item the I buy at T-Joe's goes to a product that isn't really a T-Joes product, but around where I live, it can only be found at T-Joes ....drum roll please:

Tejava unsweetened iced tea !!!! OMG - this iced tea is the BOMB. I buy it by the case and add my own sweetener and lemon. Truly the best ever.

I like the unsalted peanut butter filled pretzels. ::yes::

I love their Fire Roasted Papaya and Mango Salsa... simply delish!

~~ I love you Phil and you will forever be with me! Forever my very best and most special friend! I love you to no end. ~~

Has anybody mentioned cookie butter?

OMG to die for. Like if peanut butter and nutella had a baby - it'd be cookie butter!!

Nothing healthy about it, but quite delish!

I saw this when I picked up some Almond Butter. I may have to try sometime.

I love the Going Bananas and Meyer Lemon Cookie Thins...

I have only been twice and love the sweet potato fries, mandarin orange chicken & bbq terriaki chicken (it's all in the frozen food section). TJ's is a little out of the way from places I normally go but I can see going once a month or so.

Green Olive Tapenade
Challah
Himalayan Pink Sea Salt Grinder
Strawberry Mochi
White Wine...all different kinds
Peanut Butter
Spices (much better prices than other groc stores)

Bumping! Anything new for 2013??

I'm going on Tuesday but ours is small and doesn't have the wine : (

I like the champagne pear vinaigrette salad dressing (refrigerated area) and the frozen seasoned potatoes for a starchy side on nights when we are in a hurry. I also love the peanut butter filled pretzels.

The chocolate croissants and the almond croissants are both delicious. We also like TJ's hummus (all kinds), orange chicken, vegetable fried rice, Goddess salad dressing, pot stickers and their cookie butter is awesome. I love Trader Joe's.

Raw almond butter
Pumpkin butter
Protein powder
TJ brand greek yogurt
Dried mango
Strawberry yogurt joe's o's cereal- way too crunchy

I went a few weeks ago and this is what I liked/didn't like:

salsa in fridge section-yummy
organic creamy tomato soup-yummy
cornbread baking mix-yummy
pear champagne salad dressing-good and different but pear very over whelming. Not sure if I willl get it again
Trader Joe's organic tea and lemondade- I didn't like it, tasted too much like that squeezable lemon juice
frozen mashed potatoes-good but I made on the stop top and it took longer that it said and I thought they were going to burn before they got hot. Also there wasn't that much in there.
frozen banana slices covered in chocolate-soooooo yummy!
organic brown rice-ok it was hard in spots not sure if I heated it correctly
kettle corn in pink bag-my husband liked it but he said he prefers it saltly and not "the perfect mix" like it said on the bag lol
