Has anyone stayed at this Marriott resort in Boston? We're considering looking for an exchange for Sept-Oct '07.

If you know, we'd also like to know what that season is, and whether a trade would be likely if we are somewhat flexible on dates.

TIA.

Just looked in my I.I. book, and they don't seem to use the red/yellow/green time anymore. Instead they do each week separately base on a scale from 50 to 150, with 100 being average demand.

Boston looks to be:
for weeks 35-41: 130 to 150
for weeks 42-43: 110 to 115
for weeks 44-50: 75 to 95

I haven't stayed there, they only have 1 BR units. It looks like Summer and Sept should be the highest times with the rest a variety of moderate demand. Technically Boston is red year round so it should be High season for DVC for part of the time and likely Mid season for a portion. I'd guess Oct will be Mid season and Sept through the first week of Oct High season but it's just a guess. As for likely, I'd think you have a decent chance of success.

dvc_john, II has moved their season designations to the index. If you look in the back of the book at the index you'll see the traditional info you are accustomed to. The numbers are a rating system with a NORM of 100. It's called the Travel Demand Index. Just be aware it's not a generic standard, it only compares the relative demand within that area. So 100 in CA has NOTHING to do with 100 in Orlando.

I looked online with II using a Marriott deposit and didn't find anything for that time. All I saw was this month, Dec and Jan.

Thanks Dean. We're just in the early stages of planning, so I'm not even sure I want to stay there. We're going to Boston to see a bunch of relatives and want to stay in the city somewhere and have them come to us, rather than chasing all over New England like last trip.

If this exchange does not work, maybe an idea....We travel to Boston at least once a year and love to stay in Cambridge. We usually stay at the Hotel Sonesta. That time of year, it shouldn't be hard to get a river view. It is very conveniently located to the Green T-stop, which will take you anywhere. It is also easier to get into/out of than many places in Boston itself. Across the street is the Cambridgeside Galleria. That has a couple good family restuarants (Cheesecake Factory/California Pizza Kitchen) as well as a food court with some pretty good fast options. In case you're looking.....
