Trac Phones.... anyone have one that can share any info?

I am thinking of getting a Tracphone but would like to hear from anyone who has had one. Do you like it? any problems? Please share opinions. Thanks!

I've got one i rarely use, so it's good for me. The cost per minute is quite high, but buying a year's worth of minutes for about $100 works out cheaper than any monthly plan I've looked into. The minutes don't expire, which is good for me too because I don't use them up in a year. It works great locally, but I haven't figured out how to use it some places, like Florida. You are supposed to be able to use it all over the country, i think there is some sort of code you have to get. Customer service is very lousy, it is hard to get a real person, and then if you can they often have heavy accents and are hard to understand. All in all i like them for local, occasional use, but need to figure out how to use it outside my area.

I have a Tracfone that I use only for making outgoing calls and it works fine. I have used it to stay in contact with my mother as we drove from New York to Florida and only had difficulty with reception at All Star Sports. I couldn't use it anywhere within the resort.
