TR, Lots of pics and video, too-Celebrated Life, Disney Style!

they did all thier own posing with exception of the sleeping one on the suitcases on the street that leads to TOT and RRC(ooohhh, forgot the name, shame on me)!!

Well, we slept late and she still napped after WCC! So i guess she was worn out altogether. I was happy though b/c of the late P&PP!

Lori

Good job to the girls for doing their own posing:thumbsup2

Great update! Love the pics at DHS! Your girls are so precious!

I don't think there was benedryl in the WCC food, just good old-fashioned WDW air and fun -- it makes you sleep awfully hard :).

Can't wait to hear about the Pirate and Princess Party!

:rotfl: hope you know I was kidding about the benadryl-but she was within moments of getting on the bus. It WAS a perfect day for a nap on a bus.... or a hammock!! It was lovely that day-balmy and breezy! Plus all the mac n cheese carbs my children consumed in WDW that week!!

Lori

Oh, I knew that you were joking. :goodvibes

Love that your girls ate so much mac and cheese that week! My two seem to live on chicken fingers and Mickey waffles while we are there.

Hey Lori, Just wanted to say I'll check in when I get back. We're leaving tonight for DW to bring DH's bands to perform! :cool1: Wish us luck!

MELANIE!!!!!! Have fun chic.... green eyed monster coming out-just a little!!

CP- OMG I WISH my youngest would eat more chicken fingers-protien, something more than carbs and fat and a bit of protien in the cheese. I am a huge proponent:goodvibes of mac n cheese as it is STILL my favorite thing to eat. You know that whole 'if you were stuck on a island and all you ahd to eat was..." it would be mac n cheese, too. OK But NOW, at 38, it just shows up on my butt!!!:rotfl:

Adding soon!

:rotfl2: That's too funny!

I'm not any better (maybe, even worse) -- for me, it would have to be some sort of rich, gooey, sugary, frosted dessert. Just a bunch of empty calories that immediately head south...:rolleyes1

Hey, I am back and ready to tell you about our swashbucklin' pretty as a princess night!!

After we made it back to our room from WCC, we had enough time to take a power nap-about 45 minutes or so. We made the kids lay down even though I do not think they slept, but WE slept the whole 45 minutes and then got up groggy and partially excited abou getting ready for the party. This was SUPPOSED to be an off day from the parks, but I am not sure we'd have gotten through w/out going anyway.;)

But the kids dressed in thier POTC wear-DD10 was Elizabeth Swann and my darling DD8 was Jack Sparrow! She wanted to be Jack from day ONE of telling them we were going to the P&PP-so she was. This is my little girl, who has had 2 spiderman birthday parties in her little life-but also is the queen of dress up and has had princess birthday parties and horse parties too. She is 8 and STILL loves dress up and 'pretending'-YAY for me and her. I LOVE this about her. So she was Jack and so we made her a little mustache and go-tee(sp??). PLUS she had her pop gun(from the lobby gift shop since the plastic one she had at home broke-and this one was wood and metal-very well made and a good price too-and from WDW!!!). She still plays with it.

I put makeup on DD10 also and they both looked so cute, along with that mysterious little Aurora...
*************picture taken off for personal reasons****************

This was at the entrance to MK.

We met up with my DB and SIL and headed over to MK about 6pm and found it very easy to get in and get our bracelets. As we went into the park, I found it hard to NOT stick my tongue out and say"haha" :cutie: to the people being made to leave. I know, mean, b/c I was one of them the previous Saturday.

:duck:

Anyway, I couldn't resist a pic of the entrance and the sign announcing the party...

So we went on in and got the stroller that I paid half of and used less than half the time-but only b/c our party split up a day or 2 and they have the younger kid. I orginally told my kids that we would not have one at all, the whole time and then told SIL I would split a double with her in case DD8 wanted to chill. But DD10 got in a few times too. But life was nice w/out it this trip. DD8 gets grumpier faster than DD10. DD10 thought this a bit unfair-so the switch off happened every so often. It worked out fine but next time- ONLY b/c my kids are older-no stroller.

Anyway- we went to get the treasure sacks and they gave us an extra. So I got the bright idea to go through the lines with my kids and collect it for my DN5, who i had hoped would be with us.( see my PTR area for that)

We headed left for Adventureland and of course, stopped for a Dole Whip Float. Then DH went for FP's to Space Mountain and met back up with us at Alladins Magic Carpets, where my DN3 wanted to go but here started HER meltdown. All 2 kids had a meltdown once. Well, mine were once and DN3 was once that I knew of-and it was now. Not in the park an hour yet. So my kids and her mom rode it as did I and here is a pic...
268.jpg

SIL was upset her DD didn't ride BUT handled it well by riding with us anyway. Then we saw Aladin and Abu and went to stand in line...
DN3 refused-on went her meltdown. Come to find out-all she wanted to do was the Teacups-so off DB and SIL went to the Teacups and we waited in line with some FUN folks in Adventureland...

And we went to our first treasure station...
269.jpg

sad thing here and made me feel a bit bad for getting jewels for my DN5-this dad, in line with his kids, AFTER getting his kids pouches filled grabs a HANDFUL of these plastic jewels. It was amazing. If I ever feel the need to steal ($3 a bag at Michaels) plastic jewels from WDW-please, it was ridiculous.:headache: Where are the Disney::cop: -ha!!!

Then my family made it over the POTC and took the LEFT line-no one in it-YAY US!!!

The right line was small but to the corner-we walked right on....

Then the kids wanted to go again....no lines to the left, the right one was longer than previously but you could only tell after your were in there-we walked right on AGAIN!!! When we came out this time i saw a t-shirt that I LOVED in DL but that was such a budget trip and i did not get it. DH told me to go get it-it is the one that says, "The beatings will continue until morale improves"-FUNNY STORY about this shirt-we thought for a YEAR and up until last week that it said "BEARINGS"-which I LOVED. I still like the shirt-it is my homeschool motto:lmao:

We left there and the parade was starting, so we watched it from Pecos Bill's , where it starts...
I love the pic of DD8 on DH shoulders...

esp this one!

here is DD10 on the Pecos Bill wall-watching the parade...
273.jpg

Then we went BACK to POTC one more time...

We were a bit hungry so we went to Pecos Bill cafe and got to adult hamburger meals and split them-it was a perfect amount of food after our HUGE late lunch.

We had fun hangin'by ourselves this day... more coming very soon-gotta get the kids to bed:idea:

Lori

It looks like you all had a wonderful time at the P&PP! Your daughters' costumes are great! Sorry to hear that DN had a hard time enjoying herself :(.

Gotta love the no-lines -- we enjoyed them at MNSSHP!

My DN3 is exactly that, only 3- and there comes a point when a kids that age hit a wall. She perked back up and it will show in later pictures!! The kids had fun waiting for crowds to die down after the midnight ending of the party-you'll see what they did soon!

YES, we enjoyed the lack of lines very much-a FAR fetch from our 2003 MNSSHP on Halloween night-it was the SAME as a hot summer, park filled to capacity, miserable time. yep, even in Disney, I was on the verge of cursing people on Halloween night-some may say I was a witch:laughing: . I thought we had paid extra for LESS people, less lines. YET DH and I contained ourselves and made the most of it, after all we were in Disney-we stomped that ole' witch and warlock out. It was almost a 'Fantasmicy' vilianous takeover but Mickey and his magic saved the night!

Lori

Okay, so i thought this was cute. I KNEW it was in MK and I have seen it before, but never had I spent time on this street-the one that connects Frontierland with Adventureland(the cut though)- enough to really check it out. I took these b/c I HAVE this village on my bookcase. The 1994 Dept 56 Disney village. It is so pretty i keep it up year round. For Christmas, I decorate it with lights and snowflocked mini trees.

I made sure to point out the sprinklers going on the roof of that thatched roof in that are(forgot the name of the building)
Kids were AMAZED that sprinklers were watering GRASS on the top of a building. We were heading back that way b/c the fireworks were going to start soon.

We wanted a good view so went early. We found a spot in front of the castle to the left, if you look at the castle from Main St. Loads of peopl came and sat around so we popped a squat too. It is crazy how many people came midway through the show to stand right in front of everyone. So, I opened my mouth MANY times for the families in our area- telling them NICELY if they were going to stay there that it would be nice if they SAT-if they were going to be in front of us all. THIS was an amazing show. I mean, the fireworks were going off in the castle battlements(??) every so often and they were shooring off from the sides and from everywhere. While Wishes has a sweet spot, THIS was the Adventure, swashbuckling, version-where Wishes is a more Princessy version. It was FABULOUS! Sharpay from HSM would have been happy!

This is a so so pic of the castle from our "spot".

Video of fireworks next-waiting for upload!!

Lori

These are very short segments. I bought a 2 gig card for my camera and we ditched the videocamera this trip for the video mechanism on the camera. This is a tiny little Canon Powershot ELPH SD300. I like my Kodak quality better, but it is bigger and we opted for small and easy on this trip. We didn't want to lug it around. We opted for more scenery(kicking back and taking it all in) and enjoyment this trip than photo ops, like in the past.

This is ONE of the very short tidbits of the Pirate and Princess party fireworks...

Another one possibly coming up next-it is downloading into photobucket.

Enjoy!

Lori

here is the second one-THIS one is great-a little blurry, but really good!

Enjoy again!!

Lori

After the awesome fireworks show, we met back up with my DB and SIL by the Haunted Mansion, and went for a ride. Then we finally got to Fantasyland where we found out DN3 drug her parents around all night so far!!:cutie: This was a plus to our kids getting older. We used to be them. Now we are us. make sense?? well, maybe, in that we don't feel the need any longer to be in fanasyland the majority of the time. the whole darn World is game for us now!! yay!!! I DO, however LOVE Fantasyland. We always need to see it first, when we go to WDW.

Upon entering Fantasyland, the girls had to find the restroom, so off to the one behind Peter Pan. The guys went to stand in the line that was for the beautiful lit up carriage. We waited a while, but it was worth it. The kids needed the break. And like I said, it was so pretty.

289.jpg

This pic that they set my kids up with was a bit strange , I thought. DD8 , Jack Sparrow, had to get on her knee and they had her 'look' like she was proposing to Elizabeth Swann, DD10. Little wierd. maybe they did not realize DD8 was a GIRL!
296.jpg

Another wierd thing that happened more than once in the park that night and the next morning, was that many people that passed by DD10, in her Singapore-style costume-Elizabeth Swan (and a Disney made costume), kept calling her a giehsa girl. I was like, what!!!! :scared1: How DARE you step foot in the Pirate and Princess Party and not know WHO she is dressed up as.pirate: HAVE you even SEEN POTC movies????? And of all things, a giesha girl, ugghhhh..........she is 10!

Here DD10 and Dh are in SM-DD10's second time on it ever...
297.jpg

We did the swap thing as DD8 wasn't riding:sad2: .

Anyway, when we got out of here, the park was relatively empty(don't ask the time, I have no idea) so we had run of Tomorrowland-we did everything 2x, and Buzz 3x. Then the announcement came over saying the park was closing. So we hung out a bit in Tomorrowland and then headed to the castle for our wait for the park to empty.

here was DD8 pouting, i don't remember why, but she was going to STAY right on this spot b/t Tomorrowland on the way to main street in front of the castle...
I HAD to take a pic b/c I thought it was funny. She was going to live right there. She is the type that will allow you to be out of sight before it hits her your gone(which scares me, so i hide and watch and wait for her to change her mind and come home with her family)...

300.jpg

Okay , so after she rejoined us, we got a couple tubs of popcorn and some drinks from a vendor that was still serving and went to the bench in front of the castle... here is the recreation we learned at the Pirate and Princess Party(not really, this has been going on since DH intro'ed our children to Star Wars many many years ago....)-but here you are...

303.jpg

here are a few on the way out...

It was blast and soooo worth the extra money. And, stay till the end, when the bulk is gone...
