Yes I will be checking all hotel rooms from now on. They say you can carry your things and put them in the tub before checking/setting them on the carpet!

DAY 2 10/23/10
DHS DAY!!! and Depression Day..


When we left off, the 3 of us were sleeping soundly in our room..well 2 were. I could not sleep for the life of me. I tossed and turned and looked at the ceiling and watched the pargos drive outside the window. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep when the alarm went off at 6:15am.

We all go up and got ready to go. After eating 2 granola bars, we headed off to the bus stop! I feared the buses as I had never used them at CSR before and knew the resort was huge...as it turns out, the buses were never an issue!

It wasn't 10 mins and the bus arrived to DHS!!

In no time, we were at DHS and K had even arrived before us!

Where did we go first..

M ran for FP and we slowly walked behind. We got in line at the same time and waited and waited and waited. The sign posted 45 min wait..and it was
We pretty much wasted AM EMH at TSM..no big deal though I guess

After that, we walked over to RnR..to find it closed! So we went to TOT and rode it twice!

After that, we walked to GMR..

It was when we entered the movie room before you enter the ride when I got the horrible call saying my Dbro had been termed I never did end up seeing him and my vacation pretty much turn a turn for depression. I tried my hardest that day to be but I put on a good show I guess lol.

After the ride, we headed back to:

J kicked my behind!

Finally it was 12:15pm and it was time for lunch!!

I believe our servers name was Mark. He was pretty good. Not as good as the one that Dbro and I had in March but he was okay. He had friends that sat across from us and carried on personal convo with them so it wasn't as magical IMO.

I got a choco milk shake and chicken!

After lunch, we headed over to the Animation Studios, drew Goofy, took a pic with Lotso, and headed back to RnR...which was still closed!

J and I gave M and K our FP for ToT and we headed back to go to the pool as the girls continued their park marathon till 3am!

That's it for now. My cousin is getting married today in Columbus, OH so I'm off to another wedding..my 2nd of the year, except I'm not in this one this time!

We are eating at 50's for dinner in December...that chicken looks delicious, so I'm glad I made that choice!

Oh no! I can't believe RnRC was closed! Bum deal! That's my favorite ride, so I would have been very upset!

I love your pics! It looks like you guys had a great time getting to see each other again!

It is very good!!!! I was actually so full and hot from the heat outside that between 1/2 of my milk shake and the chicken, I really didn't eat my dessert and felt like it was sort of a waste..oh well!

That must have been an awful day.

Thanks The meal was good. I still compare it to Cracker Barrel type food but it's good and it's always the same which is good too Not sure what the deal was with RnR but a few weeks before that my uncle's family was there and it was closed the day they were there too!

Thanks..It was tough. It's nice to have him home but not for that reason of course! We'll see where he ends up. I think the war is pretty much over which is great..we'll see where he ends up in Jan!

HAPPY THURSDAY DIS FRIENDS!!!

I thought I would just update real quick! If you've followed me for a while or months..you know I'm still trying to pass my Praxis (state boards for teaching). My next exam is on Sat..2 days away!! This is going to be my "whatever" one and hopefully I pass it! Things have been crazy with working OT at school and my cousins wedding last weekend so the study books have been set aside for the most part and we'll see if #8 becomes my new lucky number! If not, I'll be studying from Dec-Mar and retaking it again in March. My goal is to hopefully pass asap and then move back down to FL and teach somewhere/anywhere there! I found out that because of my GPA in college, I can score a 166 instead of a 168 so at this point, I'll take the two points!!!

Other than that, things are surprisingly normal at home. Dbro is at home currently. Not sure of his future plans. He'll either head back down to FL in Jan if his roommates stay, stay in Cincinnati and work part time/finish his masters degree, or head back east to Pittsburgh and work/finish his degree.

I'm still debating about a Dec PTR. 4 weeks from TODAY is when we leave! If I do, it won't start until at least Sunday and will be speedy quick!! The current debates are: is Dbro coming, is he not, if he comes will he drive or fly; and should we rent a car (Dollar is offering $156 total from Thurs-Tues = good deal to us!) or not. If anyone knows if you can reserve a rental car online and then either pay when you arrive or pay the night before...LET ME KNOW PLEASE!!!!

That's it as of now..I'll be back on Sat or Sun with an update on the test and a trip update!!!

I'm glad things seem to be working out much better for your family in regards to your DB's situation. No CM rate for your December stay? I was just thinking about that and how that wouldn't be a good situation since he's no longer a CM Anyway, so glad to hear that the trip is still on!

Yes, sadly we had to give up the CM Discount room at AKL-Savanna View w/Bunk Bed for $222 a night ( plus tax) but..without spoiling all the drama in case a do a mini PTR, we are going for Free Dining at WL and I used my AP discount for a room at POP the first night we're there. Since my family need park tickets now..another expense that we weren't having to make before, we weighed all the numbers + the time line + the available rooms at that point with all discount routes and this worked out the best for us. We're giving up a park day on our first full day where we would normally be going to like AK and Epcot, maybe DHS and are just doing 2 park days and a day for MVMCP. My Dad LOVES the holiday Illuminations and only seeing it once just doesn't sit well with me right now and I feel horrible (even though it's not my fault of course) but I just wish they had like an after 4pm admission because if they did buy park tickets for Friday, they would need to be a hopper because we're doing a full day at Epcot on Sat. I figured I'd look into a more in depth schedule after my test and go from there. I did book some dining ADRs but with CLP, that takes care of 2 meals and we'll only need 2 more so it makes it pretty easy...see, I told you drama haha.

POOL TIME AND FOOD AND WINE..maybe???

HI DIS FRIENDS!!!

I know I said that I would update tomorrow but photobucket loaded so quickly so I decided to update instead of letting it sit there and stare at me until tomorrow!

My mom and I made it to PA and back for my test. I got up at 6:15am, showered, ate breakfast in the lobby, and mom drove me over to my former college so I could test. I got the test and panic as I saw it said TEST GROUP G, which is what I had the past 2 times and did worse on it in Sept. Panic mode set in a bit until I opened it and saw that some of the questions were different..but some were also the same. I pretty much finished with 10 mins left to review, didn't really even review, and time was called when I put my pencil down. I don't want to say I did good, but hopefully I passed! I'll find out the score on Dec 5th, 4 days before we leave for WDW...ugh! I feel like all I do is take my Praxis and go to WDW, I took it last Nov and we went in Dec, I took it in march and went to WDW in march. I took it in July and went to WDW in Aug, I took it in Sept and went to WDW in Oct, and took it now and I'm going to WDW in Dec..see a pattern lol?????

Part II

When we left off, we were all filled from 50s and J and I were heading back to CSR to go swimming. K and M stayed at DHS and then headed over to Epcot to check out Food and Wine.

When J and I got back to the room, it had already been cleaned...no towel animal even though we left a cute envelope. Oh well. J decided to nap while I went to the pool! Our plan was to be at Epcot by 4:30/5..did it happen??

While I was at the pool, my friend who works at CSR called and said she was off work and was coming to meet me! We caught up for a little before her Dbf came and hung out with us. Needless to say, we didn't head to Epcot by 4:30-5, it was more like 6 but being that I was staying at a resort and paying POP prices..I was going to take advantage of it!

Finally we parted ways, they drove to Epcot and J and I took the bus.

I already prepared myself for Epcot. I was Saturday + Food and Wine = crazy Epcot..and it was. Our plan was to get a CS and then snack on food and wine stuff for the rest of the night. Our plan got smashed pretty quickly when we saw the lines We ended up at Mexico for our CS meal:

It was the new Mexican food and my overall review of the food was: Good churros, good chips, but I didn't like the taste of the "beef" tacos at all. I didn't say anything about my dislike for them as J loved them but I'm not even really a taco bell girl so I tend to be picky when it comes to Mexican food. After that we sampled 2 adult beverages at food and wine..and that was it. Between being full from dinner, getting to Epcot later than we wanted to, and the lines being a mile long..it just didn't happen but we always had Monday right..????

We pretty much walked around and gazed at all the ppl in line at the stands and eventually got a spot for Illuminations.

We always stand in the small incline between the 2 gift shops at the entrance of WS. Now..I also knew to prepare myself for the type of crowd that would be at Epcot for F and W..mostly adults, drinking lots of booze, and may not keep adult language to themselves. Well my theory proved right when everyone stood for Illuminations (you sit prior to the start in that location) and a group of probably 30-40 yr old somethings were behind us..2 rows width maybe and the one girl just starts pretty much screaming at us for standing and to sit our fat butts (but she didn't say butts!!) and commented on how the fworks are in the sky. Well, I kept my cool as much as I could to enjoy my ONLY NIGHT that I'd be seeing this but how rude?!!!!
We did make comments out loud of how she obviously doesn't stand in this area ever since she didn't know you always stand at the start of the show. Well by 1/2 way into it, she was also standing...
So the "ruined" morning thanks to my Dbros termination just pretty much set the tone for how the rest of the day went!

I did manage to get some pics!

After Illuminations, our plan was to run to the monorail, get on, and get to MK for their fireworks at 10..would we do it or say forget it and head back to the resort...

As a side note. Since I'm 3 weeks and 5 days until we leave for WDW, I doubt I'll do a PTR. I might put some details on here (if you don't mind!) and then do a TR when we get back!! Stay tuned for that too!!
