TP Room Request - When

Hi.

I always send in my TP room request prior to a trip and always get exactly what we request.

This trip, we are heading out on January 4, which is a Friday and also the end to a very busy week and thinking most people will still be at Disney and leaving on that Saturday/Sunday, where I would have more of a chance to get something close to what we requested.

Given above, when is the best time to send in my room request? Right now, we are 17 days away. Would a week be better?

As I understand it, it is probably best to make your request as soon as you have made up your mind about what you want. DVC Member services will attach it to your reservation. I have called back, months later, multiple times, to check on them, and the cast member has ALWAYS been able to see my request and read it back, exactly, every time. And I have pretty much ALWAYS got my requests.

In any case, I understand that starting about 5 days, or MAYBE 4 days, before your check in date, a Cast Member goes through all the requests that are listed and tries to start matching them up. I think I read this somewhere, where a former cast member was discussing it. So, make sure to get your requests in BEFORE that. If you wait until later, or even do it at check-in, you will have missed the prime time for request fulfillment.
