Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Thanks Lola. :hug:

We did really well at the rummage sale.:cheer2: We got a TON of nice clothes for the winter.:banana: Lots of gently used name brand stuff: Ambercrombie, Gap, Old Navy, Perry Ellis, Dockers, Nike, e.t.c. We also got some homeschooling materials, brand new Christmas decorations, and lots of odds and ends. Total spent: $30!:cool1: I even got a few brand new things that I may be able to sell on Craigslist and make some money on. :thumbsup2

And..... DD9's soccer team won their first game of the season today!!!:cheer2:

One not so bright spot in the day: I am starting to feel like I am coming down with something. :( I've been pushing water like crazy and will start taking some extra vitamin C as well.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!:grouphug:

***********************************************

Lola- Thanks! :hug:We really liked Sea World a lot. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well that day and we really had to cut back on the things that we wanted to do. They have tons of great discounts throughout the year so if you ever want to go, you can check the Sea World board for the latest discounts. :goodvibes

Linda- Thanks!:hug: My girls are still arguing. :( I'm not sure what it is, but I hope they get over it soon! ;)

Denise- Thanks!:hug: The sun has come out for us and we have a beautiful fall weekend here! :sunny:

Amy- Thanks!:hug: Narcoossee's was great! My DH is still raving about the filet and lobster!:thumbsup2 We are staying at BCV in December. :santa:

Hi Tracy:wave2:

Love your trip highlights. I also love to hear what others have done. You visited some really great restaruants. We are doing Sea World during our trip and can't wait. I have only been to the one in San Antonio and that was forever ago.

That rummage sale sounds awesome. I wish we had something like that around here.
Hope you are feeling better today and your DDs are through arguing. :hug:

Have those contractors paid up yet? I will never understand how people can be like that. :sad2:

Hi Tracy. Hope you are feeling well and haven't come down with the flu going around.

Hi Tracy,
That is awesome you got such great stuff at the rummage sale! Don't you love it when that happens?

How are you feeling, hope you never came down with a cold. When is your surgery again?

Thinking about you and hope you are having a good week.:goodvibes

Thanks Lisa and Amy!:grouphug:

This has been a long week for me.... I've had a lot on my mind. My DH and I are trying to get our finances back on track. We got lackadaisical with our budget over the summer and now it's time to tighten our belts again. I've been working on the budget for the household, for Christmas, and for vacation. I'm not happy with any of them right now, so I'll be working on the numbers this weekend too.

A few days ago, my dad called and told me that he needs to have surgery on his corroded (sp?) artery in a couple of weeks. He has to go to the cardiologist next Friday to get the go ahead for surgery. Good thoughts and prayers for him are much appreciated. :goodvibes

Speaking of surgery, I still don't have a date for mine. :( I have an appointment to see the doctor on Nov. 2nd and the decision will be made from there. I am hoping and praying that it will be shortly after the 2nd because I'd rather not be recovering the week of Thanksgiving. Plus, the stent is rather uncomfortable at times. :( I won't be sorry to see it or the kidney stone go!;)

Weekend Plans:
* Last soccer game tomorrow
* DH works on the car.
* Church
* Christmas Shopping?

I spent most of the day today working on getting my DH a great deal on the parts he needs to fix the car. I was able to save him $75 upfront, he'll get a $30 mail in rebate, and I should get $12 back from eBates. Not bad, huh? I think he owes me one! ;)

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!:grouphug:

Tracey Thanks for visiting my journal. I hope the treatment for the kidney stone goes well.

Ds loved LeCellar when he was down there in Aug.

Have a great evening

Prayers for your dad Tracy. I hope his surgery goes well. Please keep us posted on him.

Prayers for you that your surgery is scheduled soon so you can find some relief. :hug:

Must be something in the air. I have been working on our budget all week. I have been so frustrated with it. I am very determined to stick with it this time.

Excellant savings on the car parts. :thumbsup2 You did great. I hope DH at least acknowledged your efforts. :goodvibes

Thanks Dona and Lisa!:grouphug:

We've had an okay weekend here. Yesterday, my DD9's soccer team lost their last game of the season. We went to McDonalds for lunch after the game and her friend was there so she forgot all about the loss. ;)

After the game, we came home and then went to Sears to look for some Christmas presents. My DH was able to get 5 Christmas gifts for $16.xx!:thumbsup2 Each item was $4.99 (originally $40 each!!!:eek: ) and we had a $10 coupon as well. That saves us a lot of money!:banana:

After Sears, we came home, ate dinner, and relaxed.

Fast forward to today....We went to church, ran some errands, and spent some time driving around in Amish country. On the way home, I started feeling really yucky. :( I hope whatever this is passes quickly.

Busy week ahead...Too tired to think about it tonight though!:faint:

Hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead!:grouphug:

Your DH did some great shopping there! :worship: Hope you feel better soon. :hug: You have had more than your share of yuckiness.

Sorry for DD's last soccer game. That stinks, but there is always next year. She had some great games this year she can be proud of . :thumbsup2

Feel better Tracy and I hope you have a great Monday. :goodvibes

Tracy, I hear you on the budget thing. Its amazing how quickly things can get a bit "loose" on that end! I know you'll get it figured out and great job on saving so much money at Sears. Love it when that happens!

I will say prayers for your dad's surgery. I wonder if he is having the same procedure my uncle had done a few years ago on that artery. And I will pray you get a surgery date set very soon! I would imagine that stint is uncomfortable.

Your drive into Amish country sounds lovely, but I am sorry you weren't feeling well. Hope you are better.

Hope your Monday was a good one!:goodvibes

Hi Tracy, just stopping by to say hi and bye! Hope things are going okay this week and that you are feeling okay. And hoping you get a surgery date set very soon! Have a great evening, I'll catch up with you from the World!

Thanks Lisa and Amy.:grouphug:

Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. :( I have been working really hard to start trying to bring some order back to our lives. I've been working on budgets, on de-cluttering, and on getting more organized. I've still got a long ways to go, but I am making progress.

I'm also looking at getting a part time job in the New Year. I've been crunching the numbers in our budget and if we want to get this debt paid off as soon as possible, we need more income. I've been looking into some jobs and some online work as well.

I haven't weighed myself in weeks. Right now, I don't even want to know. :( For the moment, I am trying to hold the fort down while waiting for surgery. Once surgery is over, I need to get serious about my healthy living journey.

Well, that's about all from here. It's after midnight, but for some reason, I've got a ton of energy. I think I'll work on Christmas and Disney budgets for awhile. :surfweb:

Have a nice evening and a great Thursday!:wizard:

Good luck with the de-cluttering/organizing. When your done can you come to my house ??

We got rid of a TON of stuff when we moved and it felt so good. Sometimes all those things just feel like they weigh us down... know what I mean? Wish I had time to do more of it.

Hope they sort out the time for your procedue soon so you can put that behind you.

Hey Tracy
and when you are done at Lola's can you come help me? I just can't seem to get anywhere's with my house. Mine has never been this bad before. :sad2:

I think your stone and looming surgery has you down maybe. You'll be okay soon. :hug:

What is it about nighttime that brings on the energy? Almost midnight here and while I am tired, I am getting so much done. I love it when it is dark and quiet. I can concentrate better.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Remember, this is just a minor setback. You were doing wonderful before you got the stone and once it is taken care of, you'll be right back on track. :goodvibes

Thanks Lola and Lisa. :grouphug: I really needed to hear those words of encouragement this morning! :goodvibes

Yesterday was not a good day. :( I didn't feel well, the kids didn't feel well, DH and I argued all day, and the girls had some major attitude going on. UGH. :( I am praying that today will be a much better day!:wizard:

Today's Plan:
* School (minimal; both kids are sick)
* Surveys
* Online Shopping
* Target
* Work for DH
* Research/Blog

I am so glad that my doctor's appointment is scheduled for next Tuesday. This stent is really, really uncomfortable. We went to the mall on Saturday and walked around for about 25 minutes. Guess who was in pain the rest of the night? :headache: I wonder why something that is supposed to help causes so much pain sometimes? :confused3

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!:hug:

I'm sorry to hear that yesterday was not a great day. These autumn colds are no fun at all. I hope things are looking up this morning.

I hope you are able to take it easy a little bit until your kidney stone is taken care of. Hang in there. :hug:

Praying for you! Glad the Dr's appt is near. Sorry you are in so much pain from the stent. Does NOT sound like fun!

I totally understand the budget woes, the autumn colds, the lack of weighing in ...I am in the same boat. But, God is good, and we will survive....we always do!

Hang in there! :hug: Take it easy and take care of you!

Tracy, I hope today went better for you. :hug: You are in pain and tired of being in pain and I pray you get some relief soon. Having sick kids doesn't help much either. Take it easy if you can. :hug:

Thanks Lola, Julie, and Lisa. :grouphug:

Yesterday was a much better day. The girls and I still aren't feeling well, but hopefully, these colds will go away soon. :wizard:

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Laundry
* De-clutter the kitchen

Charlie Brown is on tonight! :banana: I just love when the Charlie Brown shows are on!:love: Brings back lots of great memories from childhood!:thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a nice Thursday!:hug:

Hi Tracy,

I hope you are feeling better, I will be very anxious to see how your appointment goes tomorrow, just praying for you and that this ordeal is over soon.:hug:

I am with you on needing more income, I pray for doors to open for you and for me on that issue.:goodvibes
