Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Thanks Amy and welcome back!:hug:

Well, tomorrow is my appointment. I'm feeling peaceful at the moment, but I have a feeling that I will be a bundle of nerves tomorrow. :blush: Prayers and good thoughts are much appreciated!:goodvibes

The kids had a great time trick or treating!:cool1: DD9 was a football player and DD8 was a chef.

Tomorrow's plan:
* pray
* vote
* pray
* drop girls off at MIL's (school off for voting)
* pray
* dr. apptointment
* pray

I really, really hope this procedure gets scheduled tomorrow. This stent is really uncomfortable and with the horrible cramping I am experiencing with TOM right now, I am feeling really yucky. :sick:

Have a nice evening, ladies!:grouphug:

Tracy, how are you and how was the appointment? I really hope you were able to get something scheduled to get some relief. :hug:

I missed Charlie Brown. I can't believe it, first time in a long time. We have in on DVD, but there is just something about watching on tv. :goodvibes

Hi Tracy, I hope your appointment went well. Were they able to get you on the schedule? Thinking of you.

Well friends....

I went to the doctor on Tuesday. He went ahead and scheduled the lithotripsy procedure for today. Got a phone call yesterday that procedure has been canceled and tentatively scheduled for next Friday. Why? I have a bladder infection and need to have it cleared up with antibiotics first. UGH. :( I guess bladder infections are common when you have a stent. Not sure why, especially since I have been drinking water life crazy :confused3 I was all set to have this procedure done and now I have to wait another week. UGH! UGH! UGH!:mad: I should know by Tuesday afternoon at the latest....

This really puts a wrench in my schedule...If I have the procedure next Friday, I will most likely be out of commission 1 or 2 days after. My dad's surgery is that Monday and I am supposed to drive him there and help take care of him and my mom that week. What if I'm not feeling better by then? :( UGH!

Also, if the procedure ends up being postponed yet another week, than I will have to postpone DD9's birthday party. UGH!

I am rather stressed out by all of this. This would have been the ideal weekend to have the procedure done. My DH took off work, my girls are at my grandma's house, and we have zero plans for the weekend. Now, the procedure will interfere with my dad's surgery, my DD9's birthday party, or Thanksgiving week. UGH! UGH! UGH! :sad1:

Needless to say, I do know that God has a reason for this and I am seeking His peace about the whole thing. It's hard though. :sad1: Just when I think this will truly be taken care of, it is now on hold once again.

Gotta put one foot in front of the other and just keep moving forward....

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!:grouphug:

Tracy,

I am so sorry your procedure was cancelled. That must be beyond frustrating when you have your girls situated at your grandma's and your heart and soul pysched up to get it done. Sometimes God's plan is hard to accept and coordinate with! Hang in there my friend, try to relax and maybe plan something this weekend that will help you have fun and relax.

I am also so sorry this new timeframe is causing you stress within your dad's surgery. You have a lot on your plate right now, I wish I lived close and I would come by and give you a real shoulder to cry on and see if I could help you figure all this out!

Keep us posted, one way or the other this will all be behind you soon. :hug:

Ugh, Sorry to hear about your bladder infection. (They are common with stents because bacteria just love to live in comfy cozy "foreign bodies" like stent, fake joints, artificial heart valves etc etc.) On the bright side, it is a good thing that they found it and can treat it before your procedure so that it won't cause you any complications later on.

I hope that the scheduling all works out. It sounds like you have a lot to deal with at the moment. Try to relax and have some fun this weekend.

Keep your chin up Tracy pretty soon you will look back and it will all be a memory.Better to have caught the infection and have to wait vs. the issues if it was not detected, that would be a big UGH!

Hang in there

Linda

Hi Tracy!

So sorry to hear about your health issues but hopefully it will all be over real soon. I hope you're able to re-arrange your schedule and commitments so that everything falls into place. Stress combined with health issues isn't a good thing.

Try to do something to relax yourself this week. In preparation for my surgery I listened to a CD daily which taught relaxation and healing methods. Maybe you can try something like this with some visualization. It could even be your favorite calming music. I lit a candle, stretched out on the bed and just lost myself for a half hour.

Take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing.

Hi Tracy, just stop by to say hello and give you one of these::hug:

I hope you are doing okay, I am sure you are just so ready for your procedure to be done and over with!

Hang in there friend.

Tracy, I just wanted to let you know I've been praying for you. Sad about the cancellation of your procedure, but God really is in control, He does have a plan, and YOU are dear to him! It will be ok!

:hug:

Thank you so much, ladies. :grouphug: You are such a blessing to me!:grouphug:

The past week has been tough. :( I have spent my days fluctuating between disappointment and busyness. It really threw me for a loop when the procedure was canceled last week. I've been waiting to get this taken care of since August 31st. I had it set in my heart and in my mind that I would finally get this taken care of, only to be told no. In the grand scheme of things, the one week wait hasn't been a huge deal, but I've really had to spend some time in prayer and talking to my DH. (Who has been WONDERFUL at calming me done!) I've done a lot of reflecting this week...You should see my journal here at home! :eek: I think I've written a book! LOL! :laughing:

Today has been a very busy day. I've been finishing up work for my DH for the week, wrapped up school for the week, started laundry, wrapped some Christmas presents, and made arrangements for my girls to stay at grandma's again. In a little while, we'll be heading to my MIL's house to celebrate my DD9's birthday and my nephew's birthday. After that, it's off to grandma's to drop off the girls. The busyness is helping me take my mind off the procedure.

I have to be at the hospital @ 7:45 a.m. for one more x-ray of my kidneys. The procedure is scheduled to begin around 9:00 a.m. If all goes well, I may be in and out of there by noon.

The girls will be at my grandma's house until Saturday at least. That will give me some time to rest and recover before they come home.

My dad's surgery is scheduled for Monday. If I don't feel up to going, my DH will take him and stay at the hospital through the procedure. If all goes well, dad will be home on Tuesday.

Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers this weekend. :grouphug: I'm not sure when I will get back to journals, but I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :goodvibes

Tracy,

I thought about you all day yesterday, I hope the procedure went well and that you are at home resting comfortably.:goodvibes

I will by saying prayers for your dad and his surgery on Monday. I am so glad your dh can be there with him if you can't make it.

Just thinkgin about you and hoping you got that all done and behind you! Sending prayers and lots of hugs out to you.:hug:

Hi ladies,

The procedure went well on Friday. The doctor said that the stone shattered quite easily, but he's not sure how it fragmented. I have been passing some sand, but no fragments yet. Today has been the most painful day of the past 5. I'm not sure if the fragments are getting ready to exit the body or if something else is going on. It's just not been a good day pain wise. :(

My dad's procedure went well yesterday. It took him awhile to come out of the anesthesia, but he is feeling much better today. He may be released tomorrow.

Today is my DD's birthday! :bday: I can't believe she is 10 years old already. :eek: Where has the time gone?:confused3 We got her iTunes gift cards, gloves, a devotional book, a DVD, and a couple of snacks. She is saving up her birthday money from other family members for an iPod. She's a few dollars short, but we went ahead and ordered it anyhow. It should be here in the next day or two. She is going to be so surprised!:cool1:

I didn't get much done today. I just haven't been feeling well. I'm hoping I feel much better tomorrow. If not, I may need to schedule a doctor's appointment or head to Urgent Care. :(

Hope everyone has a nice evening!:grouphug:

Tracy-I'm so happy to hear that your procedure went well. Sorry that today hasn't been such a good day for you. If you continue to feel too much pain, make a call to your doc! He or she can ease your mind or give you some new meds-whatever it takes!

Take care of yourself and get better!

I hope you are feeling better today. I'm so glad to hear the procedures went well for you and your father.

You sure have had a lot going on over the last couple of weeks. I things quiet down soon so you can get some well earned rest.

Tracy, I am so glad the procedure went well and hope that today is a better day for you than yesterday was.:hug:

I am also so thankful your dad is doing well and hoping he is going home today. What a week your family has had!

I cannot believe your dd is 10, how does if feel to have a kid in double digits now?? Sounds like she had a nice birthday, I bet she will be very suprised and happy when she gets her Ipod!

Hang in there, you are still very much in my prayers through all of this and I hope today you are pain free!:goodvibes

Tracy
Happy Birthday to your DD! Our two have such close birthdays. :goodvibes I hope you are feeling better today. and that you DF is doing well also. Will continue to pray for you and your family. :hug:

Glad all went well Tracy for you and your Dad.

Isn't it amazing how fast time goes when we have little ones? Of course they are older not us!!!

Feel better,
Linda

Thank you, ladies. :grouphug:

This has been a very long week for us....Between my procedure and dad's procedure, my being sick, and pain from the stone fragments....UGH!:sad1:

My DD10's birthday party is tomorrow and we're not ready. Got lots of cleaning to do today and food to buy yet. My DH is off from work today and the girls will help too. We're going to go to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate as well. I couldn't go on Wednesday because I was too sick. :(

We're celebrating Thanksgiving with my DH's family on Sunday as well so it will be a busy weekend for sure. My follow up appointment with the urologist is on Tuesday and I am praying that he will take this darn stent out! :sad1:

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!:grouphug:

Tracy, praying for that stent to get the heck out of Dodge!

You have a busy weekend, don't overdo things. Its funny, I had surgery 16 years ago, about the exact same time you had yours and I remember trying to get Thanksgiving stuff done and then just realizing my body wasn't going to be too thankful if I overdid things!

I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend, enjoy your family time on Sunday and enjoy your dd's birthday celebrations.

And last but not least thank you for your pm.:hug: I truly do not know what I would do without your friendship and caring. One of these days my friend, you and I will be face to face, preferably over Grand Marnier Slushies at Epcot! Thank you for being you.
