Had a great time in WDW! :thumbsup2 Details to follow....

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Tracy, Welcome Home, we missed you!

Can't wait to hear about your trip, so glad you were able to go and that you had fun!:yay:

Thanks for stopping by ladies. :grouphug:

One of the things that I love about vacation is that I get space to breathe. I don't have to worry about cooking, cleaning, schooling, working for my DH, e.t.c. I have the chance to sit back and relax and do some thinking.

Problem is that I am still in vacation mode.:cloud9:

And I'm still thinking.

I've spent the past couple of days thinking about a lot of stuff: losing weight, bills, going back to work, homeschooling, e.t.c. I've not come to any conclusions about anything, but it's still on my mind.

I started writing things out in my handy, dandy notebook. (Shout out to Blues Clues here! paw: ) Things I want to accomplish, bills I want to pay, e.t.c. I've gotten one page filled with thoughts and ideas. Now, I've got to talk to my DH about them.

Or I'll be thinking for the next 6 months and I'll get nothing accomplished. :rolleyes1

We're going to see our insurance agent today and after that, my DH and I will head somewhere to talk about life. Plans, goals, thoughts, ideas...It's not going to be as melodramatic as it sounds. I just want to see if we can get on the same page before his work schedule takes over next week. A good plan I think. Well, I hope. ;)

Have a wonderful day everyone!:grouphug:

P.S. I've been feeling pretty good lately. The stone causes twinges of pain here and there, but from what I've heard, that's to be expected. I have a doctor's appointment on Monday to discuss the next step.

It is always nice to find the time to step back and think about things. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the day to day and loos sight of the big picture. I hope that you and your DH have a pleasent and productive talk.

Also glad to hear your pain is not too bad. Hopefully the doctor's will get you scheduled to take care of the stone for good soon.

Welcome home, Tracy! Glad the stone didn't cause problems in FL!

Time to think isn't necessarily a bad thing. Hope your talk w/ DH goes well.

Have a great weekend! Can't wait for the trip report!

Glad to hear things are good.

About your stone, I am an RN in a surgical day stay unit and we use laser to break up pt's stones with little to no pain- has your MD mentioned this possibility?

Linda

Tracy, your Blues Clues comment had me laughing out loud! I hadn't thought about that show in years, but man oh man, that was dd's favorite show! We even saw good old Blue, Majenta and Super Steve in concert once.

I like your idea of writing down your thoughts. I have a lot of those same things running through my head. Especially the back to work thing. You'll get things accomplished, even if its the in the form of putting some of those things on the back burner for awhile.

Glad the stone isn't giving you too much headache right now. I'll be praying for a good doctor's appt on Monday!

So glad you had time to relax and unwind on your vacation. That is what they are all about!:cloud9:

Tracy sounds like you all had a good vacation. I'm glad. I thought about you a lot last week and was hoping things were going well.

Yes, I hope you all had a productive talk. Notebooks are a wonderful invention aren't they. I have mine for all of my lists.

Hi Tracy, got your pm and you are welcome!:goodvibes:hug:

I'll be anxious to hear what the doctor says tomorrow. I hope you are having a very nice weekend!

Quick post-

I have an appointment with the urologist tomorrow morning to decide what we are going to do about the kidney stone. I'm really nervous. :( Any good thoughts/prayers you can send my way would be much appreciated.

I'll post an update tomorrow and try to get to journals as well. Thank you for your prayers! :grouphug:

I'm thinking of you today for your doctor's appointment. :grouphug:

I think you will find that most kidney stones can be treated with a minimally invasive laser procedure. I have seen it done a few times and my mom acutally had it done a few years ago. By all accounts it very well tolerated and there is very little discomfort. I hope you get good news and find that your issue can be taken care of quickly and relateively easily.

Keep us posted.

Thanks Lola!

The doctor's appointment went okay. It looks like surgery won't be until early November. No specific date yet. They're leaning towards doing laser surgery to get rid of the stone. It's an outpatient procedure and the recovery period is supposed to be brief. I'm not looking forward to surgery, but I am looking forward to getting this stone and the stent removed. :thumbsup2

No big plans for today...Laundry, work for DH, surveys, e.t.c. I didn't sleep well last night and got up way too early this morning. A nap may be in order as well.

Have a blessed Monday! :grouphug:

Tracy  I hope they are able to do the laser. I also have heard that is the easier route to go. I hope you are feeling okay after your appointment.
