Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

You get the best deals!!! :worship: You should write a book sharing your secrets. :goodvibes

How is grandma? Hope everything went well. :wizard:

Congrats on the loss! :thumbsup2

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

My Grandma's procedure was postponed until today. She is scheduled to be one of the first procedures this morning. She is a bit nervous, but just wants to get it done and over with. Good thoughts and prayers are much appreciated!:goodvibes

I am so looking forward to school being done for the year. I've been putting off doing some things because I can't really focus on them and school at the same time.

We didn't pay off our Disney trip yesterday like I wanted to. I forgot that Mother's Day is THIS Sunday so we decided to use the deejaying money for gifts for our moms. I may still be able to squeak a Disney gift card out of the money though. ;)

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Work with DH
* Rewards Programs
* Walk
* Laundry
* Pay bills (including a parking ticket my DH got a week ago! :( )

I hope everyone has a great Monday! :wizard:

*************************************************

Lisa~ That's great that your DD has saved up $80 for your trip!:thumbsup2 My DDs haven't saved anything for our trips yet. :eek: We usually let them take $20 each for September and more than that for December so they can buy Christmas presents while we are there. As far as Disney Dollars go, the Disney Stores don't sell them anymore. :( I miss buying the Disney Dollars, but since our grocery store gives up fuelperks for buying Disney gift cards, we do that instead.

Amy~ Thanks!:hug: I enjoy bargain shopping. :goodvibes I started looking for great deals out of necessity, but now it's quite fun for me. :woohoo:

Tracy, I hope your grandma's procedure went well today.:hug: I know its hard and stressful when our loved ones are having those things done! Keep us posted and I am saying prayers for her and you!

Your Disney meetings sound like ours. It makes the trips real and makes the kids understand just what all goes into those WDW vacations!

Congrats on the loss, you are doing really well in 2010! Told ya it was our year!;)

Thanks ladies. :grouphug: My grandma is doing amazingly well! They did the heart cath yesterday and decided not to put the stent in because the artery wasn't blocked as much as they thought. She'll be in the hospital until Wednesday and is looking forward to going home. :goodvibes Thanks for your good thoughts and prayers! :grouphug:

We've had quite a busy day here so far. School, chores, laundry, SR, Simple GPT, work for DH, walked to the school to vote, e.t.c. We'll be leaving in a little while to watch NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles at my MIL's house.

I need to shop for Mother's Day tomorrow. I've already got cards, but I have to get a small gift for my mom, my grandma, and my MIL.

Only 8 more days of school!:banana: Woohoo!:woohoo:

Hope everyone has a nice evening!:hug:

Tracy, that's great news about your grandma! I'm sure your family is very happy with the results.

You've certainly had a busy day. I have to do my mother's day shopping tomorrow also. I just need to come up with some great gift ideas. I have my cards too-just have to pick one up for dh for our anniversary next week.

Have a nice day tomorrow!

Thanks Denise!:hug:

We've had a busy day today....School, Mother's Day shopping, 5/5 surveys at SR, daily clicks at Simple, pay bills, e.t.c. My DH is working now to fix the mower. Our puppy chewed the starter off!:eek:

Tomorrow should be a more relaxing day...School, laundry, work for DH, workout.

Only 7 more days of school, but who's counting? ;) :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a nice evening!:grouphug:

Tracy, I am so glad your grandma is doing so well. I am glad they didn't have to put the stint in, that's a good sign her valves are in pretty good shape! You must be so relieved.

You have earned the right to be couting those days til school is out. I have a good friend that homeschools and she's got her calendar out to mark off the days too!

I am telling you, its amazing the things a puppy can chew through. I remember when our puppy chewed through our ac unit when I was a kid. In Dallas, in the summer! Cost my dad quite a few hundred dollars and that was 40 years ago! I hope your dh got the mower fixed, if not hook Abby up to an old timey mower and make her plow through that tall grass.;)

HI Tracy
I am so glad that grandmother is doing well after her procedure. :goodvibes How wonderful it wasn't as bad as they thought. How many more days of school now?:thumbsup2

7 more days of school Tracy where are you from I am coming there- my kids are itching so bad for summer.DD1 is a senior and DD2 has so much homework every night she is exhausted.

Glad to hear your grandma did well.

Linda

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

Only 7 more days of school now!:banana: As each day goes by, my stress load is getting lighter and lighter. Over the summer, I'm going to think about, evaluate, and pray about how we'll do school next year. I didn't realize how stressed out I have been. If I'm stressed, the girls probably are too. The good thing is that I have 3 months to pray about what we'll do differently next year!:goodvibes

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Laundry
* Workout
* Rewards Programs
* Order Entertainment book

Tomorrow is weigh-in. I'm not expecting a loss. I'm not OP at the moment and I haven't been watching what I eat. :blush: I'm reading Leslie Sansone's book, Eat Smart, Walk Strong, and hope to implement her strategies for effortless weight loss once school is over. It's a 6 week program that focuses on small changes that become lasting changes. I'm looking forward to giving it a try!:thumbsup2

That's about all from here. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!:grouphug:

****************************************

Amy~ Thanks!:hug: My DH couldn't fix the lawn mower last night. :( He needs a certain part to fix it and if he can't find it at an affordable price, we'll need a new mower. I think Abby should pay for it! LOL!:rotfl:

Lisa~ Thanks!:hug: Only 7 more days!:banana:

Linda~ Thanks!:hug: We homeschool so we get to set the schedule for the year. My DBro and SIL are going to be visiting from out of state the week of the 16th so the girls asked if we could finish school a couple of weeks early so that they could enjoy their visit without worrying about school stuff. I was happy to oblige!:thumbsup2

Tracy, I am so glad you will have the summer to reflect and pray for next year. I can well imagine your stress level is going down as your summer break gets closer!

I know you will get back on program, soon you will have more time to focus on Tracy. Can't wait to read that book!

Yeah, Abby should pay for the mower part. Just like Daisy should pay to repair my carpet from where she chewed it up! Its a good thing they are cute huh?;)

Thanks Amy!:hug:

Happy Friday everyone!:cool1:

We've got a nice weekend ahead of us. DH is working today (and hopefully selling an insurance policy or two!), we're doing Bible and Health for school (done with everything else!), and then I'll work on rewards programs.

Tomorrow, we're heading to my grandma's house to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom and grandma. On Sunday, we'll go to church, take my MIL out for brunch, and then do whatever my girls have planned for the day.

I need to do some re-tweaking on our Disney trip. Sea World announced a program where if you buy an adult ticket, you get a kid's ticket for $5. We haven't been to Sea World since the one here in Ohio closed years ago and the girls have talked about wanting to go. I'm not sure if we are going to buy the tickets or not. I'll have to see what my DH thinks. If we do, I think we'll probably go in December.

Weigh-in was good today. I gained .2 pounds. I can handle that!:thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a GREAT Friday!:grouphug:

Tracy, I am glad the scale showed about as tiny a gain as one can have! Next time exhale deeply and that .2 will go off the number! Its a new week and I am betting next week will show a loss!:goodvibes

I took dd to Sea World last summer and we loved it. It was a great experience, I would nab that deal! I definitely suggest you go in December, we went in the summer and it was so hot and most everything is outside. September would probably be about what we experienced!

Happy Mother's Day, enjoy your time with family!:hug:

Glad you hear Grandma is doing well. :thumbsup2

Labs are notorious chewers! I had a chocolate lab that also chewed through an a/c line and chewed threw the starter on our gas BBQ grill. :confused3

I think Sea World would be a great change of pace while you are there! Go for it!

Have a wonderful Mother's Day, Tracy. :cutie:

Happy Mother's Day!:flower3:

Today has been a good day so far. :goodvibes Two cute cards, flowers, a gift card, and lunch at Red Lobster. Yummy!:goodvibes

We're heading out to the mall for awhile to get some walking in. I ate way too many carbs at Red Lobster today. :blush:

Looks like Sea World may be a go for December. We have to work on budget a bit, but I think we'll be going!:banana:

Hope everyone has a nice day!:hug:

Happy Mother's Day to you too Tracy! Red Lobster MMM Good!

Sea world is so much fun. My kids always loved it.I love Atlantis the best.

Linda

Tracy,

I am so glad you had a nice Mother's Day. Who cannot eat too many carbs at Red Lobster with those biscuits they serve??;)

I am excited for you and the Sea World thing. I love SW, its not Disney but it has so much to offer.

Thanks Linda and Amy. :grouphug:

The past couple of days have been busy here since we're trying to wrap up the school year. Friday is our last day!:banana:

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling (DONE!)
* Surveys (got all 6!)
* Workout (DONE)
* 1-2-3- Day (DONE!)
* Dinner (NOT done LOL!:laughing:)

As of today, we are 123 days away from our trip to Disney in September. Very exciting!:banana: At 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m., I had contests for the girls where they could win prizes to celebrate 123 days til Disney. We also had a special lunch to celebrate and we'll be watching the Disney planning DVD with a Disney trivia game tonight. (Girls can earn change for our Disney trip by answering questions about the DVD. )

I got some great books at the library today and can't wait to read them in the coming weeks. :goodvibes

Gotta get ready for the trivia game...Have a great evening everyone!:grouphug:

Tracy, I love your trivia games! We do that sort of thing to, playing little games about WDW. It makes the waiting fun!

I got the book today, thank you so much!!:hug::) I already read the first two chapters and took the one quiz, I love the way she writes, she's so common sense. I know this book is going to help me! You are such a good friend.

Your last day of school is tomorrow and I know you are ready!:cool1:

So what books did you get?
