Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Way to go on the weight loss! You definitely have to own that. Your food choices look great! Keep it up and you will see a new you in no time.

Thanks ladies.:grouphug:

Yesterday was a stressful day on many fronts. I wanted my DH to go out and do a late night Taco Bell run so bad, but I ended up eating Cheerios with no milk instead. I now have 29 flex points for the week.

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Finish laundry
* Work for DH/research
* Workout

Not much else going on....Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

**************************************************

Lisa~ Thanks!:hug: The Rite Aid gift card is from their Proctor and Gamble promotion. The puppy training is slow going at the moment.

Amy~ Thanks!:hug: Thanks for the website too. That will definitely come in handy!:goodvibes

Lisa~ Thanks again!:hug: It has helped to have those goals in my signature so that I can see where I am at.

Lesli~ Thanks!:hug: Yesterday was a tough day and I plowed through 6 of my Flex Points. At least it was on Cheerios and not Taco Bell like I really wanted. ;)

How's the puppy training going?

Yeah for cheerios in place of Taco Bell!

What's going on in the homeschool front this week? Any neat projects or topics?

I think overdoing it on Cheerios was WAY better than what disaster could have been had at Taco Bell! And I bet you are happy you didn't get the Taco Bell after all, aren't you? ;)

I hope whatever was causing your stress has left you alone today. :wizard:

Good for you to resist the Taco Bell temptation! I used to practically live there when I was single...bopped between the Bell, the Wendy's salad bar and pizza for my dinners. Cheerios are such a good, healthy option.

:woohoo: for cheerios! I sometimes carry dry cereal to work for a snack. I love crunchy but don't want salty. :thumbsup2 Very proud of you for resisting Taco Bell. :hug:

Hope today was a much better day for you.

hi Tracy
hope the puppy is settling in :)
definatly agree - cheerios better choice than taco bell :)

I am very STRESSED right now!:guilty: Work stress, kid stress, family stress, car stress , miscellaneous stress, e.t.c. Why does all of this stuff seem to hit at once?!?!?! :guilty:We could use your good thoughts and prayers right now.

Food Today: I have to be careful here. I definitely could eat my stress away!

B: small orange (0)
L: 1/2 Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe (4) 1/2 medium fry (5) iced tea (0)

We haven't had dinner yet. I've been trying to deal with everything and my DH had a meeting to go this evening. I may have him pick something up on the way home or I may just have a salad and baked potato.

I doubt I will get a workout in today. I will try and get the 20 minute Zumba workout in tomorrow morning.

Hope everyone has a good evening. :grouphug:

Remember, eating stress away sounds good in the moment, but it only creates a different stress in the long run.

Breathe! Throw in a few minutes of exercise, paint your toes, take another shower, anything to give time to you and help you refocus so you can deal with the stress.:hug:

Thanks Lesli. :hug:

Still feeling stressed, but not as bad as yesterday. :( Stress is coming from every angle here (job, kids, family, miscellaneous) and I'm trying to deal with everything one step at a time. It's so weird because yesterday started off on a good note and then BAM! I got slammed with a 100 different things at once. Some things I took care of yesterday, but some things may take days or weeks to take care of. Did I mention that taxes are coming up again soon? UGH! :guilty:

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Workout
* Work for DH
* Help the kids
* Research
* Make a to do list
* Pray and try to relax

Yesterday's Food:
B: small orange (0)
L: 1/2 Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe (4) 1/2 medium fry (5) iced tea (0)
D: 1 soft taco (5) 1/2 burrito (6)
Total Points: 20/30

Yep, there's that Taco Bell. :blush: I was so stressed out last night I really didn't want to eat. My DH went out of his way after his meeting to get Taco Bell though so I ate, but not much. As you can see , my food choices weren't the best yesterday, but I still came in 10 points under.

Off to try a Zumba DVD.... Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!:grouphug:

Just finished a ZUMBA DVD and I LOVE it!!!:banana: I started off by doing the 20 minute workout and had so much fun that I did the 50 minute workout too. It was a lot of fun and the time flew right by. I got this workout from the library, but I think I will definitely add it to the rotation!:banana:

Got my 28 surveys in at SR for the bonus this month!:banana: Every little bit helps. ::yes::

Going to homeschool in a bit....Have a good afternoon!:goodvibes

Tracy, I pray today is a better day for you. :hug: Stress....I can relate. Hang in there, you will make it. Glad you had fun with the Zumba DVD, must really be good if you did the next segment right away. and your food yesterday didn't look bad.

I hope that exercise melted your stress away. :goodvibes What is the name of that Zumba DVD? Do you have to be coordinated? Did you feel like you got a good workout?

Thanks Lisa and Amy. :grouphug:

The girls are working on math problems so I thought I would stop by for a minute.

The name of the Zumba DVD is called Zumba Fitness Complete Total Body Transformation System. It has the following:

Zumba Fitness Basics (60 minutes...I didn't do this one.)
Zumba Fitness 20 Minute Express (did this one)
Zumba Fitness Cardio Party (50 minutes... I did this one too. )
Zumba Fitness Sculpt and Tone (45 minutes....I may try this tomorrow. It does say that it uses Toning Sticks. Not sure what those are, but I'll find out tomorrow. ;))

I like the DVD because it's upbeat and encouraging and of course, fun. :thumbsup2 I did feel like I got a good workout in. I sweat a lot and used a lot of legs and abs. As far as needing to be coordinated....The moves aren't too complex. They show you how to do each move in the Basics section, but it's somewhat easy to follow along without doing the basics first. If you give it a try, you may want to see if you can get it from your local library first. I will most definitely add this one to my rotation. :thumbsup2

Stress...ugh! Hopefully the physical activity will give it a positive channel. Give yourself some quiet time to unwind if you can too. Gotta take care of yourself before you can be at your fittest to take care of all the rest.

Zumba sounds very cool. I'll have to see if our library has it. I like the Firm but so many of the moves baffle me so I do my own adaptations.

Tracy, don't let the stress get to you! You have more power than those situations and I know you can get through this. But it does always seem to rain down all at once doesn't it? Hang in there.:hug:

You are the second person I have heard from just today that loves Zumba! I may have to look into this. I need something to make me sweat!

Keep up the good work, you can do it!:cheer2:

This Zumba sounds very interesting. and I never thought to check the library for something like this. I may have to stop by and check mine out and see what they have.

Sounds like you are in a bit of a better mood today? I really hope today was way better for you than the last couple of days. :goodvibes

Thanks ladies!:grouphug:

Yesterday was another long day, but I did feel much better after exercising. :goodvibes I woke up sore this morning, but feel good. :thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to the weekend. This has been such a busy, hectic week with some curve balls thrown in for good measure. :( I'm hoping we'll have time to process it all and just to relax.

Today's Plan:

* Homeschooling
* Work for DH
* Finish laundry
* Rewards Programs
* Research

Does anyone else listen to DIS Radio? I just found out about it yesterday and love it!:lovestruc Illuminations is playing right now...my FAVORITE!!:love:

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

I will definitely check out the Zumba workout! I need something new, I am about ready to wring spunky Chalene from TurboJam's neck! :rotfl:

I hope you get your much-needed relaxation this weekend. :wizard:

I may have to buy that Zumba thing when Dan gets paid.

I have not listened to dis radio. But I do have the Illuminations CD and its in my car. I love that music and could listen to it by the hour.
