Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Snow shoveling -- good workout! I agree

How did the girls do on their test/quizzes...how's their journaling going?

Hope you and DH made it to dinner - congrats on the loss -ooh, looks like you did go out, Outback, yummy!

Nice job on completing the blankets -- yum, lasagna out with DH too - good eats!

Hope your food gets back on track...you've been busy and distracted...it's okay, maybe things will slow down a bit, and hope you get your Zumba in

Thanks Deb! :goodvibes Snow shoveling is a great workout! I'd rather be cutting grass though!:laughing:

The girls did well on their History quiz. They both enjoy history and really pay close attention to the lessons.

Spelling is another story. DD9 did quite well on her test, but not as well as she usually does. DD7 did not do well on her test at all. :( I think part of the reason was that last week was a stressful and busy week for all of us and they just didn't study like they usually do. Hopefully, their grades will improve this week. :goodvibes

Just got two workouts in: Zumba Fitness Live and Flat Abs. Great workouts!:banana:

Have a great afternoon everyone!:grouphug:

Great job getting those workouts in! :cool1:

I will invite you to come mow our grass, I'm sure DH wouldn't mind - he had to do it yesterday... ;)

Hopefully the scale won't be too unkind. You're doing great with the workouts so that can offset some eating slip-ups.

Hopefully it won't seem like too long before that snow is replaced with a lovely expanse of green! :thumbsup2

Tracy, your food of late looks about like mine! I think our cold weather and is part of my problem!

Too funny, it was around 14 this morning and when I let Daisy outside, the birds were happily chirpping away. I had to laugh, I guess they were just happy to see the sun.:confused3;)

A 1.4 loss is wonderful news. If you do that every week, you'll be down 75 pounds in one year! Think back to a year ago and how time has flown by to put into perspective that in the scale of life, the amount of time it takes to sensibly lose weight is not that long. You can do it, you are doing it and you will succeed!:thumbsup2:goodvibes:hug:

Tracy, just blame it on the taxes. Evil things! :headache: Can make all sorts of things go wrong.

I'm glad you got to spend time with DH. Always a good thing. and going out to eat alone. :cloud9:

I'm thinking that ground hog was coached into saying more winter. There are so many robins around here. Normally don't see this many until Spring. Of course, I don't think anyone told them about the snow on Friday. But they were back out again yesterday and today.

Way to go on the workouts and I see your rewards amount is moving on up also. :woohoo:

Thanks ladies!:grouphug:

I shoveled snow and ice for 3.5 hours today. :faint: I'm pretty tired right now, but it felt good to get the exercise in. :thumbsup2 I was hoping for a snow day as well. We had a 4 day weekend, but with all the busyness, it didn't feel like much of a weekend. We all could have used one more day off. ::yes::

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Work with DH
* Dinner out at a buffet (Uh-oh!:scared1: )

Today's Food:
B: Banana (1) Peanut Butter Toast (5)
L: Cheerios (2)
S: 1 granola bar (2)
D: Dinner (34)

I've got about 12-14 activity points to use today as well with all of the shoveling I did. (I did take a couple of breaks.) I'm going to try and not use them today because of all of the food I ate over the weekend. We're going to a buffet for dinner though so we'll see what happens. I still have 30 Flex Points as well.

Gotta get ready to head out to work with my DH....Have a great day, ladies!:grouphug:

Have fun out a dinner tonight! I'm sure you will find a way to behave. :goodvibes

That's great about the girls and history - I hated history :( Hope the busy drops away and things go back to semi-busy like usual

Good job on the workouts -and I agree, give me sweating it out cutting grass over cold shoveling snow any day

3.5 hours...eeegad! IT's that ICE i tell you...makes it so much worse!

Tracy, I am betting you can do okay at the buffet! When I do well at ours, its because I load up on salad with dressing on the side and maybe some sort of lowfat meat, then if I am still hungry I allow myself tiny portions of other foods. They can be a challenge but just remember whatever happens, its one meal! And you have a lof ot flex and activity points to work with which always helps!

When is your snow going to end? You poor thing. I HATE to shovel snow. Luckily, ds doesn't!:rotfl:

Hi Tracy
How was your day yesterday? I hope you had a good one. How did you do at the buffet?

Okay, so food was at 44 points yesterday. :eek: If you subtract the 14 points I earned by shoveling, then I hit 30 points even. I didn't do all that badly at the buffet yesterday despite the numbers. I watched my portions, turned away a lot of bad choices, and had a very small sliver of cherry pie that I didn't know what the points were so I guessed 9. I weighed myself this morning and actually weighed .2 ounces less than last Friday's weigh-in so I guess I'm okay. I will try and be more careful today though.

I've decided to give the girls the rest of the week off from school. We are all kind of burned out right now and could use an extended break. We'll still read books and work on consumer math, but we're going to take a break until Monday.

Today's Plan:
* Work on Rewards Programs
* Work with DH
* Library

I got my $100 Disney gift card from SR yesterday!:banana: I already applied it to September's trip. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!:grouphug:

I think you did good at the buffet, since you had earned all those activity points. Had you not worked your butt of shoveling, it would have been a different story... :rolleyes1 I think that shows the importance of combining exercise and eating right!

Congrats on the gift card!! :cool1:

Thanks Amy. :hug:

I'm feeling kind of punky right now. :( I have eaten my 30 points today and haven't had dinner yet. (Good thing I still have all my Flex Points! ;) ) Put those two things together and my guess is that TOM is right around the corner. Blah! :(

I've spent a good part of the afternoon on the DIS and on my rewards programs. I'm $10 away from Super Member at SR and I've earned $35+ in about a month at Simple. Every little bit helps!:thumbsup2

We didn't go with my DH to work or to the library today. The plan for this evening is to pick my MIL up from work, eat dinner, and watch the Olympics. Both of my girls are "stoked" to see Shaun White snowboard tonight!! :thumbsup2

Have a great evening!:grouphug:

Must be in the air, I have felt sort of punky and disboarded a lot today too!

I think taking the rest of the week off is a good thing. What is the use of homeschooling if you can't do what feels right? I am betting you will return to school on Monday with all three of you recharged!

I think it sounds like you did great at the buffet. Buffets are tough and I am betting you ate less than 9 points of cherry pie. But better to figure high!

At least some of your time online is paying! :thumbsup2 That TOM can be a demotivating pain but at least it will be over in a few days.

I was kinda blah today where work was concerned...mostly played online, then ran off with hubby for some time at Epcot. It was very crowded but still had some fun.

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

The snowboarding was AWESOME last night!:thumbsup2 My girls are BIG Shaun White fans and were thrilled that he did such an amazing job. ::yes:: Three more gold medals for Team USA!:cheer2:

Today's Plan:
* Workout
* Library
* Shopping (list and coupons ready)

Food was not good yesterday. :( I probably plowed through most of my Flex Points, but I have no way of knowing since I stopped counting. :blush: I'm going to workout here in a few minutes and do my best to stay OP today. Weigh-in is tomorrow and I am nervous.

I'm still feeling punky today. :( Winter blahs + Pre- TOM = :faint:

Hope everyone has a nice day!:grouphug:

You are killing your workout goal for this month! :banana:

I hope you are able to get back on track today. :wizard: TOM is always good for a few extra calories... :confused3

:woohoo: you have made it over your workout goal and there are still 10 days left in the month. You go girl!:cheer2:

and your rewards goal.....:cool1:...you are almost there on that one also. I thought at the beginning of the month "gosh she set that goal low" and now, WOW!!!! I am completely impressed. and :woohoo: on the gift card.

Good job at the buffet. Sometimes eating happens. I had breakfast and two snacks this morning:confused3 and it's now 12:23pm and I'm still not hungry for lunch.

I missed the Olympics last night, but I heard the snowboarding was great.

good job on the buffett Tracy :)
hope your feeling less punky (not a word i'm familiar with!) & more perky :)
