Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Thanks for the :hug: :hug: Cam. I really needed one today!:upsidedow

Today has been a very tiring day. I did get homeschooling and some cleaning done, but I don't feel like I have the energy to do much else. (Except DIS of course.:lmao: ) I think there are a few factors contributing:

1) TOM's on the way...Enough said, right ladies? ;)

2) The weather....Living in Ohio can be very depressing this time of year. The weather has been awful the past few weeks and I'm missing out on some serious vitamin D.:beach:

3) Taxes....I can not even begin to tell you how much I dread tax season. I really wish my DH would sort and organize all of his paperwork and then file the taxes himself. I've done it for the past 5 years and it's something I really don't look forward to. :sad2: Just thinking about it stresses me out and probably wastes a lot of energy in the process.:guilty: It does need to get done though and I am the person who has to do it.

Sorry for complaining too much.....:guilty:

Not sure what is going on for the rest of the day. DH will be home soon and maybe we'll go to the mall or something. Maybe getting out of the house will help.

Have a great afternoon, everyone!:grouphug:

I agree with Cam! Cuddle those girls & the taxes will eventually get done. Don't stress!!!!

Hope tomorrow is a better day. Roller coaster emotions take a LOT out of you!!

Tracy,

I think we are all just sick of winter and the tax thing is simple a PITA! You are right, once you get it done, it'll go quick and be a relief. But in the meantime I think we can all relate to that dread you are feelling. Just hang in there and make your dh take you out for a nice dinner when you get them finished!

I hope your day brightened up a bit, just keep thinking about WDW, that always goes along way towards mood enhancement!

May TOM be nice to you this month, in the words of Tammy Wynette, "Sometimes its Hard to be a Woman!!!":hug:

sounds like a bit of retail therapy will do the job Tracy ;)
I dont know how you manage to do those taxes just the word tax gives me a headache!!!
Hope there done & out the way quickly!

Thanks Julie, Amy, and Tracey!:grouphug:

Yesterday was a tough day on the roller coaster of my life. :( Today has started off in a much better way...DH brought me McDonalds for breakfast and chocolate covered strawberries....Yummy!:lovestruc For Valentine's Day, we're taking the girls to Chuck E Cheese, to the Disney Store ($5 in Disney Dollars), and to the Dollar Store ($1 to spend each). Then, they'll pass out their valentines to family and friends and we'll call it a day.

Since our girls have tomorrow and Monday off (same as our local school district), I think we will plan some more cleaning and organizing over the next few days. I also will start gathering tax material together.... a little bit each day. Baby steps....:tiptoe:

Once taxes are done, I will start working out again. I think I'm looking at some FIRM DVDs, weight training, some running, and maybe Pilates. Of course, I may start working out again while I'm working on taxes to alleviate the stress.:lmao:

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Hi Tracey. Taxes are a pain. I just finished mine up! yay! Choc covered starwberries...yum!

Try running in the rain! It works to help relieve stress! It will wash all your tax worries away! :goodvibes

Yesterday was a good day. I had asked some of my family members if they could send Valentine's Day cards to my girls since they don't attend school and get to have the cool party and opening of cards. So, my parents, my MIL, my grandparents, my DH's cousin, and my best friend sent each of my girls a card in the mail. The girls made their decorated shoebox, put their cards in, and got to open them yesterday. They loved it! They got candy, stickers, money, Disney Dollars, and a trip to Chuck E Cheese. At Chuck E. Cheese, they ran around, played games, and the lady that worked at the prize counter gave them each gift bags filled with toys, candy, and coupons for free tokens on our next visit. What a blessing yesterday was!:goodvibes

My SIL had her amnio this morning and now she's waiting to hear from the doctors. She could be induced and have the baby as early as today or as late as Monday. Your prayers for her and the baby are much appreciated!:grouphug:

Today's Plan:

* Laundry (didn't get to it yesterday)

* Library (Drop off books and movies)

* Locate tax items (goal for today: bank statements)

I'm not sure what else is on the schedule for today.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!:cool1:

Edited to add.....I was going to go out for a walk/run today, but woke up to freezing rain! :(

Hi, Tracy. Hope the tax thing goes well - I love Turbo Tax, it makes it easy!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Susan

Hi Tracy...

Thinking about your SIL and her baby!!! :goodvibes

Have a great weekend! Sounds like your girls had an awesome Valentine's Day...what a great idea! :love:

Hi Tracy
Hope all goes well for SIL.
Choc strawberries sound delish & pretty healthy too ;)

Good morning friends,

My SIL's induction has been postponed. The doctor wants to give the baby some more time to allow his lungs to develop. My SIL has an appt. on Wednesday and we should know more. Thanks for your good thoughts and prayers!:grouphug:

I got on the scale this morning and was shocked and not in a good way. The scale read 221.:scared1: This is not good. I am only 4 pounds away from my all time highest weight. :sad2: I can't wait until the taxes are done. I need to re-start my program now. I will be working out today and will start being careful with what I eat. More specific plans to come.....

Today's Plan:

* Laundry

* Cleaning

* Taxes (Jan/Feb receipts)

* Workout

* Maybe a movie with the kids (it's $5.00 day with free popcorn!:thumbsup2 )

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Stopping by for a quick prayer request....My DH has an opportunity to get a contract that would provide some extra work and some extra money. The job would revolve around the work he is currently doing and would be flexible. It sounds like a great opportunity for him. but we haven't heard back from the contractor yet. Good thoughts and prayers are much appreciated!:grouphug:

hope all goes well for DH Tracy :)
And for your SIL.
Its so hard to stay on track at this cold depressing time of year!!!

Hi, Tracy. Hope your DH gets the job he wants and that it works out just like you both want it to!

I hear you on the weight loss frustration. Just move forward from here - you can do it!

Hope you have a great day!

Susan

Thanks everyone!:grouphug:

The past couple of days have been filled with bad food choices. :( I did manage to workout yesterday though. My goal through the end of February is to exercise for a total of 500 minutes. So far, I'm at 30/500.

No word yet on my SIL or on the contract DH may be getting. Waiting can be so hard!

Still not working on the taxes....My goal is to at least get January's receipts sorted tonight. Maybe once we get started, we'll end up getting more than that done.

Hope everyone has a great evening!:grouphug:

Great job getting that workout in TRACY!!! I know how hard it is to get started...but that goal you've set is definitely attainable. :thumbsup2 One day at a time...one step at a time!!! You can do it...just stay focused and don't let the set-backs get you down. We all have them! :hug:

Taxes is sooo...not fun! I finally just finished ours.

Great job on the workout Tracy! :thumbsup2 You can do it! Just as Amy said...One day at a time!

Hope you have a good day!
Stacie

Hi, Tracy. Good job on the exercise! And don't stress over your food choices over the last couple of days - just resolve to make better ones today!

Thanks very much for the encouragement on my journal. I appreciate it!

Hope your day goes well - take care!:hug:

Susan

Hi Tracy,

Thank you for all of your support. It means the world to me.

I'm with Susan. The past is over, focus on today's choices. Great job getting your workout in. Now that you have done the first one, there will be no stopping you.

:hug:
Beth
