Hi Tracy....Hope you're feeling better!!! :goodvibes I'm sure everything will work out with your wdw trip. Don't sweat it!!!

Hey Tracy---sorry to hear about the car troubles. You and your DH always work through these things, and I have no doubt you will this time. Hang in there. Don't worry about your WDW trip, everything will work out!! And you don't want to be stressed when you are down visiting the MOUSE!!!!

Hang in there!!

Thanks Beth, Amy, and Laurie.:grouphug:

Happy Friday everyone! Happy Birthday to my DD7!:bday: party: I can't believe she is 7 years old already!:eek: Where did the time go?:confused3

I'm still having trouble sleeping. :( I got a whopping 4 hours of sleep in last night. I hope my lack of sleep doesn't lead to this: :sick:.

We have a lot going on this weekend: Chuck E Cheese/ Toys R Us, DD7's Birthday Party, Mom Time at Church, Teaching 4 year olds on Sunday, Work, Work, More Work, Finish Wrapping Gifts, Getting Christmas Stuff Down from Attic, e.t.c..... Next week will be busy too as DH picked up two extra jobs and we will be traveling to 2 different Thanksgiving feasts. Yummy!

No news on car yet...A friend of my DH's may be able to help us out. We should know something today.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!:grouphug:

WOW! Busy weekend ahead!!!

I agree...do some family planned stuff at WDW, and then some alone stuff. It's so important to have somewhat of a plan at WDW. You just can't convince some people though...

Hope all goes well this weekend! Kids...they do grow up so fast!!!

Stacie

PS. Feel better!!! :hug:

BUSY BUSY WOMAN!! as always! hope the party went well for your DD today--happy birthday to her!

have a great weekend!

WOW! You are going to be a very busy woman this weekend!!!! Sometimes being busy makes us forget about some of the other things going on in our lives (family drama, car issues)....so enjoy everything you have going on this weekend!!!

I hope that your DH's friend can fix the car for you, that would be a big help this week.

And, I hope the family drama blew over without getting too crazy!

Hi Tracy
Happy Birthday to DD :banana:

Hey girl!

Long time no talk...(Is it me or do all my posts start that way?!?!?)

Anyway hope everything is going well for you. My wife and I have met some new friends down here in West Kentucky from your neck of the woods, Ohio. They are mad OSU fans. They are from Akron originally.

Anyway on to the good news....my family and I will be at WDW from Nov. 25-Dec. 2. We will be staying at Wilderness Lodge....are you jealous yet....

Anyway, have a happy Thanksgiving!

Dax

Thanks everyone for stopping by.:grouphug: I'm going to post a quick update and then try and get to journals later......

The party went well; no family drama. The car is still not working and DH has to make a decision about what to do today.

Today's Plan:

* Homeschooling

* Laundry

* Work with DH?

* Take DD7 to Toys R Us

* Library

That's about all from here.... I'll try to come back and post more later!:goodvibes Have a great Monday!:grouphug:

Hey there! Glad to hear everything went well over the weekend! No drama. That's a good thing! :)

Hope you guys have a good day today!
Stacie

Thanks Stacie.:hug:

Today's Revised Plan for the Day:

* Homeschooling

* Walk (?) I worked out for an hour and a half on Saturday and am still feeling it. :headache: I may wait until tomorrow to get a walk in.

* Library

* Toys R Us?

* DH has a job in PA, a job near Cleveland, and will have to work on his mom's spare car so he has something to drive while he fixes my mom's car. Yikes!:eek:

I think I've decided to ride the wave through the holidays and then come up with a new weight loss strategy for the New Year. We'll be in WDW for two weeks in December and then come home right before the holidays. My goals for the rest of the year will be:

1. Get some type of exercise in daily, even if it's just a 10 minute walk around the block.

2. Make one healthy food choice a day...Eat an extra veggie or fruit or drink lots of water.

Today's challenge comes in the form of finding creative ways to teach DD7 place value. We've been working on it for the past few days and she is having a hard time getting the hang of it. Hopefully, I can Google some ideas and see if they help.

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug: Turkey in 3!:banana:

Sorry for your ongoing car issues. I can SO relate to the stress of that. Just remember that this too shall pass. It sounds trite, but it is really true and the transportation issues will get resolved, one way or another.

I am also sorry for your health scare, but just remember that sometimes that is the body's way of telling us that we need to pay more attention to ourselves. I know for me, it is such a struggle to put my needs ahead of everyone else's, but it is necessary for us to take care of ourselves so we can take care of everybody else. Just hang in there and keep up the exercise and eating right - we're all right here in the struggle with you!

And how exciting - two weeks in WDW! Hope you have a fantabulous time!!

Susan

Hey there Tracy!!

Glad to hear the weekend went well--especially glad to hear that there was no drama!!!!! :cool1:

Hope your DH was able to make a decision about the car today, I know that has been a stressful situation for you guys.

AHHH...place value! No creative ideas here...hope you were able to find something good!!

Hi Tracy,

I am glad to hear that there was no further drama this weekend. I think it is a great idea that you are giving yourself some leeway, but making healthy choices over the holidays. You will come into the New Year ready to tackle the weight loss goal.

When I w3as teaching Kate place values, I made paper that was in columns, and labeled each column, ones, tens, etc. We then did math problems on that paper. After completing the problem, she would identify the place values of different numbers. She eventually just absorbed it. hth.

Take care,
Beth

Hi Tracy,

Happy Birthday to dd7! The time does go so fast, they grow up way too quickly! Hmm, a week in a house with the inlaws? I'll be praying for you Wish Sis! I am glad there was no drama at dd's party. And I really hope this car thing works out soon, you don't need that stress too do you?

I think your plan for weight loss sounds great. And I think its wise to just tackle this in full when the New Year arrives. Do the best you can for now, 2008 is it for us, I know it! I am keeping you in my prayers. And remember, (this is an order) do NOT let inlaws put any sort of damper on your WDW vacation. If they do, send them packing!

Hang in there Wish sis, this is a stressful time of year but we'll make it together.:hug:

Thanks everyone for stopping by.:grouphug:

Tracey~ Thanks for the place value links....I'll check them out!:goodvibes

Yesterday was a pretty good day. We got a lot accomplished with homeschooling and DD7 started to get the place value thing!:banana:

Today's Plan:

* Homeschooling

* Haircuts (only if the weather holds; we'd have to walk)

* Girls need to paint uncles' Christmas gifts

* Wrap presents while watching a House of Mouse marathon

Goals:

1. Exercise daily: yes, 5 minutes of power walking; vacuumed the whole house

2. Eating veggies/fruit: yes, had salad, sweet potato, and baked potato w/ cheese and broccoli

Today, my DH is in Dayton with his brother on a job site. They got there early this morning so hopefully, they'll get home early this afternoon. we still have to take DD7 to Toys R Us. We ran out of time yesterday.

As for the car....My DH has decided to try and fix it himself. As he was getting diagnosis after diagnosis, they conflicted with one another. One said it was the intake valve, the other said it was the head gasket. He's decided to try and replace the intake valve himself and then go from there. He'll probably start that this weekend.

Hope everyone has a great day! Turkey in 2!!!!:banana:

Hey, Tracy. Congratulations on meeting your goals for the day! Take pride in that - it can be VERY hard to do when you are stressed and have other things on your mind.

Hope your DH can get the car fixed - transportation problems SO stink. Here's hoping yours are coming to an end.

Have a great day!

Susan
