Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hey Tracy--Glad to hear the place value lessons are coming along for your DD.

Hope you DH is able to fix the car, I am sure you can't wait for that to be taken care of, I know I would be.

WTG on meeting the exercise and fruits/veggies goal for today!! Keep at those goals!

Have a great wednesday!

Thanks Susan and Laurie.:grouphug:

I am feeling blah today.:sick: I feel a major cold coming on and I didn't sleep very well last night. :( As a result, I don't have much planned for today. I need to get some things mailed at the post office and maybe do a little shopping.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!:hug:

Good Morning! Sorry to hear you are feeling bad! I feel like I might be coming down with something too... :sad2: My throat, ears and head hurts... ugh. Not good since we are going to visit my cousins and they have 2 small kids!

Hope DH has success on the car! I know that can be frustraing!

Good job sticking to your goals! It's so hard to be disciplined sometimes so GREAT JOB!!!

Stacie

Hi tracy,

I hope you were able to rest today, and now you are feeling better.

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
Beth

Thanks Stacie and Beth.:goodvibes

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!:grouphug:

The cold that I have been fighting for a couple of weeks now decided it was time for smackdown. :( Whew! This one is a doozy!:sick: My plan for the next couple of days is to relax, drink a lot of water, and take my vitamins. We are 9 days away from WDW and I certainly don't want to take this cold with me.:sad2: I will single digit dance though.:banana: Woohoo!:woohoo:

Thank you friends for all of the support and encouragement that you send my way. I am truly blessed to have you in my life.:grouphug:

Happy Thanksgiving!:grouphug:

Thanks everyone!:grouphug: We did have a nice Thanksgiving. We celebrated with my family on Thursday and my DH's family last night. I think I did pretty good with my eating in comparison to previous years.;)

Still single digit dancing here....:banana: I haven't even started packing yet and my to do list is a mile long.:eek: My DH has to work this morning and will be working on the car this afternoon so hopefully, I will have some time to make a dent in the list.

Today's Plan:

* Pay Bills :(

* Wrap and make presents

* Work for DH

* Start packing

* Lunch with MIL?

* Go to the store

Hope everyone has a great weekend!:grouphug:

Hey Trayc--sounds like you had a great weekend with the family! I can totally relate about being in single digits and having a to-do list a MILE long....I am in the same boat! And after my 18 mile LR this morning, don't think I am going to get much of it done today.

enjoy the rest of the weekend!!!!

Thanks Laurie.:hug:

I got a lot accomplished yesterday and it was in a non-rushed, unhurried manner. It felt good to get so much done at a reasonable pace. :goodvibes

I've been reading a book called Martha to the Max by Debi Stack. The basis for the book is the Martha/Mary story from the Bible. (Jesus came over, Mary sat at his feet and listened in love, Martha ran around preparing everything and got upset when she saw her sister spending time with Jesus instead of working.) The book revolves around the story and how perfectionism and people who have Type A personalities can easily get frustrated, exhausted, and burned out. I see so much of myself in Martha (the one running around preparing things at a frantic pace) and often forget that my focus in life should be to love God and love others. People focused instead of project focused... This book has helped me see that my all or nothing thinking is not healthy for me and that I really need to put my focus on God. It is a really good book.:thumbsup2 I'll probably still make lists though. ;)

Today's Plan:

* Church

* Breakfast w/ MIL

* Come home; help DH with car

* Start packing (in a leisurely way!)

* Enjoy a restful evening

I may throw in a trip to the grocery store as well. I won't buy much sine we'll be gone for two weeks, but just enough to get us through the week. (Note to self: Keep it simple, Tracy!:rolleyes1 )

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! Have a great Sunday!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy,

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. Single digits!!! You must be getting excited. Good for you, on taking things slower. That book sounds like it is impacting you in a postiive way.

Take care,
\Beth

Thanks Beth.:hug:

Yesterday was a good day. The sermon at church was great and breakfast was really good.:goodvibes Working on the car was not fun for my DH. He had to replace the head gaskets. So far, one is done and today he needs to work on the other one. Once replaced, he has to put everything back together again and pray that the problem is fixed. Lots of prayers and :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: would be much appreciated.

Today's Plan:

* Homeschooling

* Grocery Store

* Packing

* Paint Christmas gifts (Giving the uncles homemade toolboxes.)

I am still not feeling 100%. I am going to take some vitamins and a little extra vitamin C today. Hope that helps.

Have a great day!:hug:

Good luck with the cars Tracy!!!!! :goodvibes

Also...sure hope you are back to feeling 100% very very soon!!!! :hug:

I can't believe how fast your trip is approaching!!! :cool1: Is everyone very excited?

Hope you are feeling better and that your car is fixed. They can be SUCH a pain!

Lots of :wizard: for a great trip to WDW! It's a great time of year to go - I hope your cold is TOTALLY gone by then and you get to enjoy the Disney magic and the time with your family without illness interfering!

And by the way - there is nothing wrong with making lists! I've been known to make a list or two myself.:goodvibes

Have a good evening!

Susan
