Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Good afternoon WISH friends,

We had a lot of fun at Kalahari!:yay: When my kids saw the resort that started screaming and shouting! I asked them why they didn't do that when we went to WDW and they just shrugged their shoulders. ;) When we got to the lobby, my DD6 hugged me and said, "Thanks mom for bringing us here again." Then my DD4 said the same thing and hugged me too. Moments like that are wonderful!:cloud9:

At the water park yesterday, my kids and my DH got to tryout body surfing. That was the hit of the night!:thumbsup2 The kids had such a great time! :goodvibes

After we were done swimming yesterday, we went back to the room (we were upgraded to a room with a fireplace for FREE!:woohoo: ) to change. My BIL called and said I didn't have to babysit today and my DH's boss called and said that the jobs in Kentucky and Cincinnati had been cancelled, but that there was one near Dayton that needed to be taken care of. So, my DH is going to Columbus, Dayton and then Parma today. Whew! That is a lot of driving!:eek: (We didn't go with him because I am feeling lousy today. Sore throat, headache, e.t.c. I thought it might be a reaction to the overabundance of chlorine the waterpark used, but my left gland in my throat is swollen so it must be something else. :( )

We went down to the video arcade and let the kids play video games for awhile. My DD4 wanted to play one of those claw games where you control the arm, it drops down,and may or may not pick up a toy. She didn't get a toy, but she said," Mom, I don't want to play anymore video games. I want to go back to the Disney game and you can win me a stuffed animal. " (No pressure, right?:laughing: ) So, we went back to the game and I gave it a shot. It didn't look like I was going to win anything when all of a sudden, the claw picked up a stuffed Dalmation and dropped it into the slot. People were clapping and one guy asked me if that was my first try and I said yes. He just shook his head and said, "That is awesome....You're good!" (Then he tried to win a stuffed animal for his girlfriend and didn't win. ;) ) My DD4 and I were running around the arcade like crazy looking for my DH and my DD6 to show them our prize.:goodvibes Afterwards, we sat in the lobby for awhile and then went back to the room for lights out. We had to be on the road early the next day.

We woke up this morning and headed out. We got home around 10:30 a.m. and did some work. In the meantime, I am starting to feel worse and worse... I called my mom a few minutes ago and asked her to pick up a couple of things for me before she goes to work. My DH won't be home until very late and I don't have a car to get to the store.

The plan for today.... Nothing! I am not feeling well and am having a hard time thinking straight. (If my post doesn't make much sense, you'll know why. ;) :rotfl: ) I'm going to have the kids watch some movies and I am going to lay down on the couch.

I would appreciate your good thoughts and prayers for my BIL and SIL. My MIL called us and let us know that my SIL lost her baby last night. :sad1: I think she was about 3 months along in her pregnancy. This is a very difficult time for them right now. She lost another baby last year at almost the 5 month mark of her pregnancy. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time.:grouphug: Thank you.

I hope everyone has a good day today.... I'll try and come back to post later if I feel better.:goodvibes

Oh I am so sorry for your sil. That has got to be very hard on them to lose another baby so far into the pregnancy. I will really keep them in my prayers. I am also sorry you are not feeling well, definitely take it easy today! Sounds like you picked up some viral thing. I am glad you guys had so much fun on your mini vacation, I am impressed you won something for dd! I can never win on one of those games. Feel better very soon!

:grouphug: Tracy so sorry to hear about your SIL, i cant even begin to imagine how it must feel.

I'm glad you had a great trip :)
You can blame my cyber germs for your cough ;)
Hope you feel better soon :hug:

That is so awful about your SIL. My cousin's wife went through the same thing, it's just so sad...

I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. You'd think all of that chlorine you were exposed to would have killed any germs lurking around! At least you got to enjoy your fun day.

Take care of yourself and get well soon! :wizard:

Tracy-I am so sorry to hear about your SIL, I will keep her in my thoughts. I cannot even to begin to imagine how that would feel.

I hope you are feeling better soon yourself. Glad to hear the family had fun at the waterpark.

So sorry to hear about your SIL. Life can be very unfair at times.

I do hope you are feeling better soon.

I loved reading about the Waterpark. Its been years since I've been to one and am looking forward to the waterparks in Disney. I've never been to either but got the waterpark plus tickets for our trip in May.

Hope you have a good weekend!

I am a super irritated person right now. :mad: My DH was not supposed to schedule anything for this morning because we had some errands to get done and important phone calls to make. So, what does he do? He schedules a service call for noon, but it's out in Toledo, so he has to leave at 10:00 a.m. Guess what got done? Nothing! Guess who just called me on the phone yelling at me because it didn't get done? My husband. (Notice, the "D" is missing in DH right now. :rotfl: ) So, I did what any responsible wife would do.... I hung up and turned off the cell phone.:lmao: Doesn't he realize that he is the one who messed up the schedule? Oh well... I don't have the patience I need at the moment to deal with that....

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Finish Laundry

* eBay?

* Easter Shopping?

* Disney Planning Meeting (September hours are out! )

That's about all... Sorry about my rant.:blush: I figured it was better to come here and complain, then tell my refrigerator or my snack foods about it.:rotfl2:

**********************************************************

Amy, Tracey, Amy, Laurie, and Carole~ Thank you for your prayers for my SIL and BIL. :grouphug:

Oh dear Tracy, i hope you & DH make up....sorry i'll re-phrase that - i hope DH apologises ;)
Put it down to that faulty man gene that they all have ;)
Well done for not taking out on the refrigerater!!
Have a good weekend

:lmao: That made me laugh this morning Tracey! Thanks!:hug:

Good morning friends,

I woke up this morning and saw sunshine! It's still cold outside, but there's just something about waking up to sunshine that puts a spring in your step and reminds us that warmer weather is on the horizon.:goodvibes

Today's Plan:

* Bills

* Grocery Store

* Invoicing for DH (He's back to being my DH and not just my H. )

* Mall for Disney Dollars

* Disney Planning

That's all from sunny Ohio! Have a wonderful weekend everyone! :cool1:

Praying for your SIL & BIL, Tracy! That's SO sad! Life can be so hard sometimes! Hard to remember sometimes that God does know what He is doing!

Kalahari sounds like it was just what you all needed. Sorry that your (D)H was being a .....MALE, but as you know, mine usually is! KUDOS to you for not heading to the fridge!

Have a GREAT weekend! It's sunny here, too, but the wind hasn't died down yet. They say it will & we will be near 70 by Wed. YES!!!

Hey Tracy--Glad to hear your Husband is back to being DH!!! I know the feeling about sunshine bringing the spring to your step. It was beautiful here in NJ today and I couldn't wait to get out for my LR! I had to take advantage of the warm weather cause who knows how long it will last!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Don't you love the way husbands get stressed generally because of their lack of planning and common sense? Hopefully you two kissed and made up! And great job not snacking your way out of a stressful situation. I am glad the sun is shining for you! And keep us posted on your sil, I cannot imagine what they must be going through.

Tracy-
I just read through the last week of posts
I am keeping your family in my prayers, like always

great job on not snacking--i need to stop that!

Hi Tracy
Wet, windy & raining here :(
Please send me some sun :(
Hows DH now?
Glad i could make you laugh :)

Thanks everyone! :grouphug:

Our weekend was somewhat relaxing, but very busy. On Friday, my DH worked late and we went grocery shopping. (About $125 for two weeks! ) On Saturday, he worked in the morning, we went to the mall for Disney Dollars, and then we went to my nephew's 20th birthday party. On Sunday, we went to church, went to the store, relaxed at home, adn planned our WDW vacation. Yesterday at church, DD4 and I both fell down the steps outside. They hadn't been salted and we both got hurt. DD4 scraped her wrist up pretty badly and I hurt my left thumb/ wrist. I woke up this morning and my right side hurts too. :( Guess I won't be working out today. ;)

Today's Plan:

* Homeschool

* Pay Bills

* laundry

* Mail Bills

* Rewards Programs

* eBay?

* Start cleaning bedrooms (Maybe if I start spring cleaning, spring will come! )

No sweatshirts or jeans this time!

Have a great day everyone! :)

Hi Tracy!

I'm not sure if you'll remember me or not. I'm just strolling through WISH journals and was so happy to see that you are still at it. I just started a new journal today and thought I'd see who was still out here that I knew from when I was here before.

I'm sorry to hear about your SIL. My sister lost a twins 2 years ago and it's still very painful for her.

I'm also sorry about your tumble at your church service. Ouch!

It sounds like you're doing well and I'm so glad to hear it. Don't you just love the weather we're having? I for one will be glad when all this snow is gone. It's supposed to be cold for the next few days and then get warmer by the end of the week. I hope it melts all this snow! I want to see my grass again!

I will check back on you later in the week. If you get a chance to stop by my journal, I would appreciate some encouragement. I have gained back 36 pounds of the 109 I lost and while it sucks rocks to gain, I am determined to get back to where I was before!

Take care!!!!

Hope your feel better from your fall. Just a caution on the fact that you hurt your thumb and wrist. If it continues to hurt see a doctor. Your scaphoid bone is in between your thumb and wrist and if broken (happens frequently with falls) and goes uncasted you can end up with arthritis. Can't be diagnosed with xray but your doc can tell easily. Usually happens because of putting your hand out to break your fall.
Hope your week fares well.

Hi Tracy
I hope you & DD are ok after your fall :grouphug:
Nice planning ;)
Just one thing i'd worry about - we did the fantasmic dinner package at hollywood & vine & it was the worst meal we had!!!
But then we make not like the same stuff, dont want to put you off just wanted to share our experience!

HI Tracy--I hope you and your DD are feeling better after the fall.

Sounds like you have a great plan for your trip! I love planning for Disney trips, unfortunately I don't have a trip planned until the beginning of December, so no planning quite yet!

Hope you had a great day!

Hi Tracy, your dining plans look great. I have eaten at all of those places except Cap'n Jacks and Spoodles. I especially love Tony's at the MK, I know a lot of people don't but we really enjoyed it. You are going to have a great time, that is really something to look forward to! I got that bounceback offer too, but couldn't do it due to the kids school schedule so we are going in October and paying for the DDP :sad: . You will love Fantasmic, its about my favorite WDW show.

I am so sorry you fell at church, that sounds very painful. I hope you both heal up very quickly :grouphug: .

I thought about you yesterday when I went to buy my own Disney Dollars and wondered if you were doing the same thing!
