Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Hi Tracy! Sorry I have been MIA from posting the past week; things have been crazy here with all the remodeling going on. Great job doing your workout video- I have heard great things about the Firm series- which one do you have?

I feel your pain on all this snow! We got a mix of snow/sleet yesterday and today. Our area got about 12 inches of snow, and then a thick coating of ice on top of that, so shoveling is a real pain.....literally, lol. I can't lift the shovel it is so heavy! Maybe I need to do the Firm workouts so I can dig myself out of my parking space! :lmao:

Here's hoping that you have a bright sunny day tomorrow, and that your girls get to have their Valentine's Party very soon. Ds had his postponed too, and it is supposed to be tomorrow, but they are calling for dangerous low temps and drifting snow tonight, so I guess we will have to see...

Great job on those rewards programs!! I need to get moving on mine; I am trying to make Supermember at Sunshine Rewards, but I have a long way to go yet!

Have a great day!
Lisa

Thanks Lisa!

Today is going to be a busy day.... We are going with my DH on 3 of his jobs today. His work load seems to increase when the weather is an issue. No problem though. We just thank God for this extra work!

Today's Plan:

* Work with DH

* Pull some quotes for clients (if necessary)

* Laundry (when I get home)

* Workout (when I get home)

* Plan meals for next week/ Make shopping list

* Clean bathroom floor

That's about all from here... It's still snowy and still cold! Where is Spring? :hippie: :laughing: Have a great day!

Lisa~ I love the FIRM... I have Body Sculpting System 1 & 2 plus other videos and DVDs from their other series. I just bought a new one off of eBay and can't wait to try it! I think that I am going to set a weight loss goal for myself and when I reach it, I'll buy the system with the Transfirmer. (DH was going to get it for me for Valentine's Day, but we went to the waterpark instead.) Have a great day! Stay warm!

Hi Tracy
Make sure you keep nice & warm!!
Thats a lot of snow!!!!!
Hope DH's jobs went well :)

Hi Tracy--sounds like you had a busy day! I hope you got everything in!

Stay warm---I agree with the Where is Spring comment--I can't wait for spring to get here. We have only had one snow storm and I am sick of the snow already. Oh well!

Hope you had a great day!

I bought the Firm a couple years ago, but really never tried it. I can't wait to be cleared for cardio so I can give it a shot. Thanks for the idea!

Keep warm--although, as busy as your are, I can't imagine that'll be tough!

Good evening WISH buddies,

Today was a good day. I didn't get much accomplished, but some days are like that.:confused3 I am glad that the weekend is almost here! Although the week has been a relatively quiet one, I am ready for some rest and relaxation. :cloud9:

I still need to get a workout in and finish laundry. Homeschooling will have to wait until tomorrow....

Have a great evening!:goodvibes

Hi Tracy, hope you come out of the deep freeze very soon! And dh was smart to come home rather than risk having an accident. It sounds like you are ready for the weekend! When you finish your laundry can you come do mine? Somehow my dining room table is now the folding table for a weeks worth of laundry! Have a good weekend if I don't "talk" to you WISH sis!

I thought of you the other night while watching the news about the snow storm. I'm glad that DH decided to come home and you have been able to have a quiet week this week. I really like your line about being a "work in progress" that sounds really appropriate for all of us. Hang in there WiSH Sis! :grouphug: You are always so positive and supportive of me and others. I really appreciate all of it. Try and send some of those positive and supportive comments your own way too. :goodvibes:

Good morning WISH friends,

Yesterday was a very long day.... My DH had 3 jobs that turned into 4 with two being in Erie, PA. The bad part was that he had only one hour of sleep the entire day and that was on the way to Erie because I was driving!:eek: We got home from Erie, stopped at the gas station and he just had to have Krispy Kreme donuts.:rolleyes: I was tired and frustrated so I helped myself to two donuts. The good part was that I ate 1.5 and gave the rest to my dogs. Not a great choice at 11:45 p.m., but a small victory none the less.:thumbsup2

Today looks to be the start of one maybe two busy weeks ahead.... Taxes, work, and other projects will take up a huge part of my time. I am hoping to stay on track as much as possible. I will try very hard to workout daily (even if it's just a few minutes) and I will try to not eat after 8:00 p.m. I originally had set some more specific goals for myself, but I'm not sure I will be able to focus on that with all that is going on in the next two weeks.

Today's Plan:

* Workout

* Library

* Grocery Shopping

* Thrift Store Shopping (eBay)

* Help DH with work/Invoicing

* Start Taxes

* Finish laundry (yep, it's there again!:rolleyes: )

* Organizing office

* Planning the weeks ahead

Seems like a lot to do in one day.... I may stretch the list out over the course of the weekend....

Have a great weekend!:cool1:

Laundry is the bane of my existence sometimes - it is never done! Don't worry too much about the donuts. Driving that late at night, you probably needed some sugar to stay awake. You sure do have a busy weekend. Take care!

I think only eating 1.5 donuts is a huge victory. Those Krispy Kreme's go down way to fast and I have been known to eat four or five in my old life without batting an eye. After that long day, I agree with Anna, your body (and dh's) obvioulsy was needing a pick me up. You have a busy week or two ahead, do the best you can. You know you will be busy and are already planning for it which is very good. And I hear ya on the laundry thing, it just never ends. I have never desired somebody to clean my house but if somebody would do my laundry that would be a welcome thing! Happy weekend, hope you get some down time for you!

Hi Tracy!
i think that only eating 1 and a half donuts is a victory--donuts can go quickly and im proud of you for not eating the whole second one!
Hope you enjoy your Sunday--RELAX if you can!

Hope the next weeks are not too busy Tracy,
hope you get some 'fun' time too :)

Hi Tracy- Hang in there with the upcoming busy weeks! It is strange how you can have a quiet week and then all of sudden bang--BUSY BUSY BUSY!! I know the feeling all too well. I wish things could be spread out a little more in my life, but it just never happens that way.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Wow, you sure will be busy! But just think of how good it will feel to get all that stuff done and behind you!

Hello WISH friends,

Please let me start by apologizing for not getting to journals this weekend. :( I may not be able to get to them until Tuesday or Wednesday. I am thinking about you all and WISHing you the best.:goodvibes

This weekend has been a tough one for so many reasons.... TOM, very little time with my DH, stress, lack of sleep, more snow! , e.t.c. I have been working out a lot! I was doing pretty good with eating until today. Lets be honest here......

B: Doritos, 3 Cinammon Rolls
L: Butter Noodles (1 bowl)
S: Chips and Salsa
D: 3 slices (squares) of pizza
S: 2 baked poatoes with cheese and ranch
Dessert: SIL's Dairy Queen Heath Blizzard Ice Cream Cake

Carbs, carbs,and more carbs! I have been drinking a ton of water, but I have a headache like you wouldn't believe right now. I almost feel like working out again, but then I probably won't get a good night's sleep since it is almost 10:00 p.m.

The one bright spot in the weekend was a great movie I saw called Facing the Giants. It's a movie about a football coach who has had 6 straight losing seasons at his high school, his car is broken down most of the time, their house needs repair, and he and his wife are trying unsuccessfully to have a baby. In the course of day, he finds out that he is the reason that they can't have a baby and that the parents want him to step down as the coach. Ultimately, he turns to his faith in God to help him through. It is a great family movie!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead! :goodvibes

Good morning friends,

Today looks to be a manageable, busy day. I've got my to do list here on my desk and I am ready to go. I am seriously hoping the carb fest is over because I woke up feeling heavy and lethargic. TOM is great isn't it?:rolleyes:

Today's Plan:

* Workout

* Laundry

* Clean big stuff out of office

* Straighten up kitchen

* Ebay (purchase supplies and prepare items for mailing tomorrow)

* Drop some stuff off at Fed Ex

* Go to the store

* Reward myself for getting all of the above done with some DIS time.:banana:

We will be going with my DH to an interview he has for another third shift job. The one he has is too repetitive which causes him a lot of pain in his back and shoulder. Not only that, but the pay is horrible. :( Our goal is to have him quit third shift all together, but not until we have some debt paid off. After his interview, we will hit the Pizza Hut buffet across the street (what was I sayinga boyt the carb fest ending?:eek: ) and then finish with some errands and the to do list.

eBay auctions closed last night and I sold 8/20 items. I did re-list some items so maybe those will sell as well. I need to get this house cleaned so that I can see what I have left to sell on eBay...

Okay, I am off into my day!

Well this may not be the best take on your carb fest, but frankly that looked like some darn good eatin! Sometimes you just gotta let loose and you might as well eat something that tastes good. You put it behind you and its done! TOM always makes me crave carbs. I remember one night in my early twenties waking up in the middle of the night and eating about six canned biscuits with a bunch of butter and jelly. I thought I was losing it, now I know it was hormones!:lmao: You sound stressed, take time for you through all of this, it will pay off in the long run. Great job working out. That movies sounds great by the way, who is in it??

Well......A very small portion of my list got done today. A recap....

* Workout (The FIRM Calorie Killer... I needed that!:lmao: )

* Laundry (Not quite finished yet.... Are you surprised? :eek: ;) )

* Clean big stuff out of office (Didn't happen.:sad2:

* Straighten up kitchen (DONE! Finally, I finished a task!:thumbsup2 )

* Ebay (purchase supplies and prepare items for mailing tomorrow).. Didn't happen

* Drop some stuff off at Fed Ex... Didn't happen

* Go to the store DONE! Yeah!:yay:

* Reward myself for getting all of the above done with some DIS time. (:rolleyes1 )

I am really getting stressed out about the office being so messy. I think I am going to have to buckle down and clean it tomorrow with or without my DH's help. (He made a great deal of the mess so that's why I am trying to get him to help clean it up.) Then I need to work on our bedroom and then I will sign up for Flylady....

My plan for the rest of the evening is to stay out of the kitchen for food (water is okay) and to read a couple of books. Tomorrow is another day. (Gee, that was a deep thought wasn't it?:rotfl: )

Have a good evening!

*********************************************************

Amy~ I'm not sure who was in the movie. It wasn't anyone I recognized. The only thing I recognized in the movie was the music. It really is a great movie though!:thumbsup2
