Toys being recall in usa

There seem to be alot of toys having to be recall that have been made in china, seems to be problems with lead in paints used for the toys and is affecting some big names like Fisher & Matel.
How long will it be before we have the same problems here ?
China seem to be the place to make cheap goods, that yes we all want but at what cost to our children & us & is it worth it in the end. I surpose only time will tell.

This was on CNN news last week & again this morning, so i knew it would'nt be long before we would be affected.
Looks like the china's going to cut corner any way they can now they have the monopoly on the manafacturing market.
I'm sure they know whats allowed & whats not.

Just checked and thankfully we don't have any of the affected products. However, I don't really think that Fisher Price is that cheap anyway so why on earth are they using Chinese factories to produce the stuff? I wouldn't be very happy if one of Shelby's favourites was in the affected list as we have lots of FP stuff in our house.
