I am embarrassed to say we've stayed at the RI/SHS down on Katella/Harbor a bunch of times and I never bothered to check proximity to parking lots...we've always walked to the parks. I guess the Toy Story lot is across the street? How often do the shuttles run? We don't usually take naps mid-day, but on our upcoming trip we'll have magic morning, parks, and a Halloween party all in one day so I might try to get the kids back to our hotel between like 1-3. Are the shuttles usually crowded around that time? I would only be using it to save time, not because I care about walking. If it would be faster to walk/jog with my jogging stroller I'd probably do that instead. Thanks!

At that time of day I would think the TS bus would be much quicker and not crowded at all. The TS bus is usually only crowded at opening and closing

Yep, this.

They come frequently all day. It should save you time from walking at that time of day.

They leave pretty much continuously from an hour before opening to an hour after closing. No lines in the middle of the day at all. Plus they bring you right up to the closest point to the parks to let you off.

Do you mean the Spring Hill Suites on Katella & Harbor? If that's the case, I'm not sure how much distance you'll save from using the Toy Story Shuttle, just from looking at it on Google Maps. We're staying at the Clarion and have done before, and sometimes it feels like a toss-up for us especially first thing in the morning as you often wait a bit for the shuttle.

Thanks everyone!! I wasn't sure if it was something where we'd have to wait every 20 minutes for a shuttle.

I do - the residence inn and Springhill suites are both right there in the same parking lot. I doubt we'd bother with it in the morning, but on the day where we want to run down to have the kids take naps and come back quickly for the halloween party, I thought it might be a good option - I'll look more closely at a map :)

I just looked at you might be right - midday, if there's actually no wait, it might save time...probably depends on where they actually drop you off!

I'm in the same boat as the OP. I am staying at RI. When I google map the drive from the TS Transportation Center (is that where the buses would leave from?) to the area where they would drop off, it gives a 12 minute drive time. The walk time from RI to DL turnstiles gives 15 min. I get that I would save walking. But I'm not sure I'd save time since I'd have to add in the walk from the hotel to the TSS. Am I missing something?

Also, it gives a walk time of 11 minutes from the hotel to TSS, but I'm thinking I could maybe cut through the lot itself to get there. Does anyone know?

It certainly looks like there would be some short cuts from the RI to Harbor towards the Toy Story lot. Definitely could be a toss-up, I think. For your reference, it takes us about 4 to 5 minutes just from the Clarion to get to the TS shuttle loading area. For our afternoon breaks and usually at night we take the shuttle. At that point, any time off my feet makes me happy! :crutches:
