Toy story mania worth it without 3D?

Hello all,

We are about to leave for our first Disneyvtrip and I am making some last minute adjustments to our itinerary. It is just my husband, my 2.5 year old and myself. We are only in the parks for 3 days, so I was trying to split one day between Epcot and Hollywood studios. I am more excited about Epcot (ESP. With the flower garden festival), so as it stands we plan to hit Pixar place and Disney jr. Live at HS in the morning and then spend the rest of the day at Epcot.

However, my 2.5 year old son can't see out of one eye so 3d doesn't work for him. After reading about Toy Story Mania I am wondering if this ride would still be fun for him, and if not if it is worth going to HS to just look around and see Disney Jr, or if we should start at Epcot and only do HS I'd we have time.

My 20 year old has very limited vision in one eye, he can see 3-d.

Now, we have never done toy story mania. Our 6 year old is a Star Wars fan and has been for the past few trips. He wants to hit that first. Soooo....TSM would be a long wait or trying to work around a late FP. He does not know it exist. He LOVES Buzz Lighyear at MK and we do it MANY times every trip and he is perfectly happy. With your very limited time, I would just not worry about it. He will like playhouse Disney but i am not sure I would go just for the limited things you have planned.

Toy Story Mania is still good fun if you only watch it with one eye, but you need to wear the glasses to screen out the other image, or you'll get a double image when you play it.

However -- kids under age four don't always get what is going on with the ride. Ages 4 and up seem to enjoy it much more -- so, I'd skip it for now, focus on stuff you are sure he'll like, and save TMS for when he is older.

I can say as someone with only one eye I love the Toy Story ride. I do find that it is better for me if I ware the 3D glasses. That helps cut out some of the blear. I does take more skill since with only one eye you have no real depth perception. But I still think this is a fun ride. I have been blind in one eye since birth. I can there are some of the 3D attractions at Disney I just can not do but this one I love.

Thanks guys! I think we will save it for a later trip when he is older. It also helps with the itinerary. I think we will spend the whole day exploring Epcot and save HS for another trip.

The glasses 'make' the ride - without them it would be blurry and no fun to it.

If you wear the glasses, but cannot see 3D, then it will not be blurry. It's only blurry if you don't put the glasses on. It just won't be 3D.

Toy story mania is great but without the glasses, might be missing something. MK has the Buzz lightyear ride, no glasses needed and my two boys loved that when we went 2 years ago (5 & 3y/o).
