Anyone else going to be playing tonight? DH pre-ordered it months ago. He is picking it up on his way home. Tonight, I am making a quick dinner and we are going to gather around the tv as a family and pretend we are at DHS. :woohoo:

Anyone else?!?!?!?!?!

I bought it this morning but have to wait until I get home from work before I can play it. I get home a few minutes before the kids get home from school so I'll get to play it before they do. :cool1:

Mine is in transit via the big brown truck from NJ. I have to wait. Not so patiently.

I may get this so the Wii finally stops gathering dust under the TV :lmao:

:goodvibes

Picked it up the "the store" that we pre-ordered it from on the way home, and I was opening it while waiting at a red light so I was all ready to go when I got home.

I played for a little bit and I love it already. It looks great with or without the 3-D glasses. Looks like it's going to be very addicting. Well, at least I can get a Disney fix in every now and then.

Oh, and I pre-ordered Mario for the Wii that comes out November 7th or 9th. It's supposed to be like the original but you can play up to four people at a time and help each other out. Sounded pretty cool!

Everyone have fun with TSM and I hope those who are waiting for their games that they arrive quickly!!!

I ordered it today... it should be here by Friday.

Now I need to decide if I am going to hide it until Christmas or open it and play it right away.

Well, you need to "test it out" before Christmas ... :rolleyes1 The kids don't need to know. :rotfl2:

I got it at Walmart today. I didn't even realize today was the releae date, I just knew it was sometime in Sept and checked while I was there.

I'm going to save it for Christmas....how hard is that going to be!!!! :headache:

Darn the kids are too old not to notice that the package is already open because Mom has been playing it. :rotfl2:

Oh well, at least I can play it on my iPhone.

We played some today, and the thing that frustrates me is trying to figure out how to meet some of the "objectives" that you need to unlock the games so you can play without going through the whole "story" thing.

If anyone can figure out (1) how to launch 4 rockets at once in the rocket game, (2) shake out the bees in the balloon popping game, or (3) find (much less shoot) the pigs in the Hamm and Eggs game, please let me know. That's as far as we've gotten so far. There must be some tricks or cheats in play here.

My copy I picked up at Wal-Mart had an exclusive coupon:
a free ticket to the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 double feature

I went to Toys R Us today to get the new DS game Scribblenaughts (which looks sooooooooooooo cool) and they didn't even have the Toy Story games out from the back yet. You got a $15 gift card for buying Scribblenaughts, so I was going to use that towards Toy Story Mania, but I can't use the gift card until tomorrow for some reason.

Just an FYI...you could only get the $15 gift card for Scribblenaughts today. It's one day special.

Purchased today and spent about 3 hours playing tonight. One hour with DS7, about 30-45 minutes by myself, and over an hour with DW. DS and I quickly racked up enough tickets to unlock the 3D games. They were the first thing I did after he went to bed.

I have to say that I am disappointed with the 3D. Of the 30+ games, only 6 unlockables are in 3D. We were playing on a 52" Sony. The regular games look fine. The 3D was blurry and the left (blue) lens of the glasses is so dark that it was hard to see through. I was excited about the 3D, so it is a little bit of a let down. However, the game is good enough to stand on its own without the 3D.

The games, much like the ride, are simple enough that anyone can play and enjoy it. Yet, finding the combinations and secrets to unlock high point targets makes it very competitive for advanced players.

Overall, we really like the game. We have been waiting for it to come out since it was first announced and are pleased with what it offers for the kids and adults. For the average person, it is probably a rental to be enjoyed for a couple of days before mastering most of the levels and beginning to lose interest. For the WDW fan, it is an absolute must.

Thanks for this post. My DD is going to look for it today.

I got my copy of the game yesterday. But since I'm in the middle of moving into a new house, and I have a three week lag time between closing on one and then the other, I have to wait three weeks while the Wii is packed up before I can play it.

This gave it a rather lackluster review. I can't wait to hear what DISers think of it.

I still havn't bought a wii. Is it time to do it yet?

Unfortunately no Lyn. Not just for TSM. :sad2: Just my early opinion.

If you don't have one yet, I would wait for the price break expected in October. Wii Fit Plus will also be out on Oct 4th.

Wii Fit Plus? Hmmm. Glad I hadn't purchased one yet. Guess it will be an early b-day present.
