Quite simply this movie is OUTSTANDING...While the end is quite the tear jerker it is in the good way. Lasseter and company have outdone themselves. Bravo

Oh no! A sad ending? I'm such a crier! I was planning to wait and see it on the ship when we cruise in Oct and wouldn't have to shell out more $ for it. At least I won't be the only one crying this time. The shows always get me teary eyed and when I look around, I'm the only one.

I saw it yesterday and LOVED it!!! I sprung for the 3D version. Although the 3D is not "in your face" 3D, I think that it enhanced it a bit. I liked seeing the layers.

But the big thing is the storyline. I had tears streaming down my face. A friend and I left work early yesterday to catch an early showing and I didn't want her to see that I was crying over a Toy Story movie. She didn't want me to see her crying either...

I agree with another poster that this certainly could be a stand alone movie. It also leaves the door open for a 4th. I would see that one too!

And while there may be a character that isn't so nice, it just makes you realize how endearing the other characters are. And the Ken/Barbie storyline was quite good. Especially the fashion show...

I am very glad to have spent that $11.00 yesterday!

Loved it! I laughed, I wept! DH and DS(12) loved it as well. We had seen Shrek 3 the week prior and Toy Story 3 was by far the better movie in every way. I agree that the story was just terrific. Man was I exhausted by the end.

Saw it in IMAX 3D last night....thought the movie was awesome...I did think parts of it were a tad too dark and I was disappointed that Lotso turned out to be a villian bc he was so cute (especially now that I hear they are marketing a toy bear - that is creepy to me).

Overall I cried a whole lot and I really loved it but I did think it could use a bit more funny and I wish Lotso could have been one of the good guys. For me, it was right behind the other 2....it didn't top them I don't think.

I took the kids last night to see it in IMAX. We loved it. Yes, bring tissues. I'm looking forward to seeing Lotso at WDW. Maybe his broken heart has mended?

i saw toy story 3 on friday and LOVED it it was amazing toy story was my favorite movie ever and toy story 3 did not disapoint but lotso surprised me alot and hes going to surprise you too, he was my favorite character

omg I CRIED so much!XD We all left the movie feeling depressed, even though it was happy at the end. What a tearjerker!

The movie itself is great (much better than 2 imo), but is a little deep/tragic in parts. Don't expect nonstop laughs. I will say that much.

But am I the only one who is a bit disturbed by the fact that thousands of kids have been hugging and loving Lotso at DHS over the past month or so perhaps falling in love with this new character. Are their hearts not going to be broken when they find out that he is an evil evil bear.:rotfl2:

I know when I go to the meet and greet with lotso I am going to want to stomp on his foot and run away.:rotfl:

Dude I'm so gonna do that tooXD

We went on Saturday and saw it in 3D. DH, me and DS19.
We all LOVED it.
DS22 is waiting until this week to see it with his girlfriend.

I cried- for sure! (but I cry at commercials ;)) But I laughed out loud much more. :rotfl:

I thought is was scary in parts- but so were TS1 & TS2. Sid especially was terrifying and creepy!
And Disney & Pixar have always had a villain - Maleficent, Ursula, Scar, the evil guy in UP (I forget his name) and many more. Nothing new here about adding in some scary parts.

I do find it funny that they are marketing Lotso as a cute & cuddly bear though. I wonder how many will end up on the front grills of cars- I'll be keeping an eye out!!

Is Lotso out at Meet n' Greets by himself or is he with another character? Usually from the new movies at the Animation Building there are 2 characters. Just wondering if they paired Lotso with someone?

I do think it's a little weird that Lotso is the meet n' greet. I know there are other villians in the parks, but Lotso still seems an odd choice. Like putting Sid out there! Even though their parts are smaller, I think Buttercup the Unicorn would have been fun to put out or Mr Pricklepants or even Dolly.

Not really sad as in bad sad but sad as in I think a lot of us can relate to either Andy or his mom, or even both.

We saw it with another family and I was sitting between my DH and our friend's DH and was doing pretty good with keeping the tears back. DH's friend looks at his wife and comments about her tearing up and then looks at me and said something and then I was done - the floodgates opened up. DH's friend did admit that even he was chocking up which was why he had to look at his wife and look around. Wonderful story, beautiful as always and wonderful characters. Found myself, the kids and all of the adults laughing quite a bit.

I'm now glad that I didn't buy our DS5 a LotsOBear for his birthday because I'm afraid that after the movie I might have found it at the bottom of the pool.

Loved this movie. I cried, a happy cry at the end. It was so heart warming <spoiler> to know that they will have a safe place to live. I also liked how the 3 aliens relied on their "Claw" to save the crew from being incinerated. <end spoiler> I give it 2 thumbs up. This movie is the best of the 3 and would see it again in a hear beat. Loved the Night & Day Pixar short as well. Very creative.

poor Lotso............so misunderstood............just a run of the mill sociopath............the backstory may be that a few months on the "grill", as it were, rehabilitated him and he came to DHS to make amends.:)

Lotso has his own meeting area in the Animation Building(where up characters were before him). Buzz adn Woody are still in the building across from TSMM.

Went to see it in 3-D yesterday. The movie was great but I wouldn't waste my money on the 3-D version. It was not at all what I expected, not even close. We paid 3.50 extra for the 3-D & then they asked for you to recycle the glasses in the end.

Over all it was a great movie

this was my favorite of the 3 by far. I cried at the end....my DH thought I was nuts. ( but I'll rethink it everytime we go to do ANYTHING with an old toy!!)
I too do not get why Lotso is at the character meet and greet. I don't get it. It would have been SO cool to have Buzz, Woody and Jessie. I'm afraid my DD4 is going to walk up to him and tell him he's a bad bear !!!! :rotfl2:

It would be even better to lose the Little Einsteins at H & V and make it a Toy Story meal !!! How awesome would that be !!! :woohoo:

I saw it opening day, and will be seeing it again later this week. I loved it so much. I do think some parts, especially at the end, could possibly scare kids, heck, I was a little nervous at the end, since I had avoided spoilers, and had no idea what was going to happen, but I could definatly see kids getting scared.

and it was pretty good.

I wasn't blown away like I was after seeing the first one, and I don't think it was as good as either of the first two.

That being said, it was enjoyable, and I cried at the end.

The 3-D was nice, but the movie didn't benefit from it.

Of course, any Disnophile (anyone on this board) will love it.

a lot of people think if some guy is not trying to poke a long stick up your nose in 3D or some animal is not floating in front of your eyes then you are not getting 3D. this 3D is what i call "immersive". it just adds depth to the scenes. it was that way in Avatar and most of the new 3D. i say most because if the movie was created that way it is one thing. if it was converted afterwards that is another. in fact the less you notice it the better it is.
