Does anyone know if there are any coupons available for one-way towncar service? (Airport to WDW) I had a hideous experience with Mears on my last trip, and flat out REFUSE to take them again. Alternatively, does anyone have recent cab experience? It's just me on this trip, so I'm looking for options. Thanks! :)

(Note - my aunt is joining me after a few days, and will be taking me back to the airport. If that weren't the case, I'd just rent a car. But I don't want to have to take time out of our "quality time" to return a rental car to the airport mid-week, and she'll have her landyacht Caddy, so it would seem silly to drive around in my rented Neon. :) )

We have always preferred to use FL Tours for our transportation. Andy is a wonder guy who will see to it you are taken care of.

FL Tours is the official transportation company of the DIS and by using them we are supporting these boards. I know that I would be lost when it comes to my Disney planning without these boards.

Go to www.fltours.com/reservations.htm and fill out a request, you will see pricing before you ever have to submit the request for a reservation

For one person, I'd go with a taxi. It will be cheaper, and there are plenty of them at MCO. I believe there is a taxi counter at both the A & B sides down on the baggge claim level. It is very convenient.

If you have the time and patience mears is the cheapest way but personally I will not use them again either.

A towncar service will charge you 45-50 one way and unfortunately they don't offer coupons for a one-way trip.

I paid $56 one way plus tip from the Dolphin to MCO -(long story) so a one way town car may be as reasonable as a cab and certainly more pleasant! At least with a town car they meet you in the airport and could help with luggage if needed.

After learning about a better alternative than mears I will never take them again! I am also leary of a taxi trying to take a tourist for a "ride" which has happened to me once to often. For me its town car from now on.

You could also rent a car one way and I think they have a few drop offs on property and a couple near Downtown Disney. You can rent it just for the day. But it may be about the same for the towncar, but worth checking.

MHopkins2 i'd give Quicksilver Tours and transportation a try i think you'll be impressed with them i was. $44.90 from OIA to WDW so i guess it would be the same the other way round lol

My wife hasn't shut up about the gleaming car lol
