I have a ? which tower of Tower is better WDW or DL and if you know how a bout the one that is out of the country
Thanks Adabob

The one at WDW is generally considered better. Disneyland's version is missing the part of the ride where the elevator travels forward. The que at MGM's is also a lot better (the outside part that is). Once you start dropping, they feel the same to me.

Although it annoys the crap out of me, WDW is significantly better than DL. It bothers me, because DL was built several years after the WDW one, and all of the "bells and whistles" should have been added, IMHO.

The moving through the hotel section is cool. Must importantly, though, the drop sequences are completely randon---you never get the same ride twice.

Can't wait until tomorrow night to ride the DL version again---it's my favorite attraction on both coasts!

My favorite ride hands down (hands up when riding). I must say the WDW one is better...but you know what they say...any port in a storm..

And we won't correct your heading..You do know it's TOWER OF TERROR right????

I know what you mean. I never understood that, since logic would dictate that a subsequent version would be the same or even better. Go figure.

Have fun at tomorrow night and ride it for me!

I used to think they were the exact same however they aren't. My teenage nieces have been on both and they say WDW is 100 times better.

Yep another vote for the WDW version.

Haven't gottent to try any of the non US versions. Tokyo was still being built when I was there.

I have always read and heard that the one at DLR does NOT have the random drop sequence, while the one at WDW does.

I thought I'd read somewhere, that they left out the moving elevator because of tremendous mechanical problems of the one at WDW. But I will have to agree that the TOT in WDW is better. Although once in the elevator shaft they are exactly the same ride. It has random drops also! TOT is my favorite ride at each park. Gotta love it!:cheer2:

The DCA Tower of Terror is still using it's original drop profile from May 2004 and has not yet gone random.

Unfortunlately... :upsidedow
If it is not a random drop...what do you call it? I've been to the one at WDW, and it seems just like the one at DCA.:confused3

The DCA Tower does the exact same drops every ride.
The same drop profile and amount of drops as when it opened.

The WDW Tower is now running it's 4th (different) drop profile (3rd upgrade) since opening... called "Tower 4" and it consists of several different (and longer) drop profiles (than DCAs Tower), which are chosen randomly by the computer.

The DIS won't let me post the URL of the WDW site that has the WDW Tower of Terror random drop profile diagrams...
Please PM me if you want and I'll send you the URL.
:)

The DCA Tower does less drops in it's static drop profile than the shortest of the randomized drop profiles in Florida. All the other drop profiles are much longer.

I love love love this ride. DH doesn't like it, but he rides it with me. I can't wait to try it out in WDW in Oct this year so I can do a comparison too.
