Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the TOT is to much for a five year old???He really wants to try it but i'm not sure if he would be ready for that ride yet....
Thanks:smooth:

It is really going to depend on your 5 year old. If he is not afraid of roller coasters and other thrill rides then he will love it. When we rode we saw some young children who were really afraid going on the ride but loved it once they got off.

i say put him on... if he doesnt like it dont have him go on again and give him an ice cream or some type of treat to make up for the experience. I have seen many little kids go on and love it. But just as many didnt. So there is only one way to find out....

My son went on it for the first time at 6yo and he loved it. He likes Dinosaur at AK too though and that ride was too intense for my then 8yo. You're probably the best judge. Have you been on it? If not, I would suggest doing a kid swap so you can experience it first.

My 3 yr old (at the time) went on it last June & did perfectly fine.

It REALLY depends on the child. My son is a dare devil & does all the rides at WDW he can do (height wise)
He has done Dinosaur & loves it.

I would say work your way up to ToT. If he does fine on rides like Dinosaur, Splash Mountain, etc he PROBABLY be OK.

Good Luck!

Yep he will love it - my son went on from the age of 3 [ as soon as tall enough !!]

DD loved it at 4 1/2. 9 DNi and 40 DH were just ok with it LOL.

You will have to be the judge since you know your son better than anybody. We are going to see if our 4yo grandson is willing to try the ride this weekend.

for my 5 year old this ride is a NO, but Ive seen kids even smaller than him on it, and they did fine. My 5 year old son does not like thrill rides at all...he did ride the runaway train roller coaster and splash mountain and even test track, but he didnt like them. My daughter at 5 though did.

Is your DS a daredevil?? I know there is no way my 5 year old DD would get on it but she is just about scared of everything. If he wants to give it a try I say do it.
