Tower Of Terror

Yay! Go for it astrodrummergirl! You will love it. As you read a few posts above, we've managed to convert our mum (nursetibs) to the ride, and even made her do the ride with 'no hands' last trip!

We fly out the day after you, so if you want someone extra to go with we have a few days scheduled at MGM to break our record and you're very welcome to join us! Obviously you don't have to do all 14+ (that's the aim) consecutive rides with us, 1 will suffice! :rotfl: :lmao: PM me if you wanna know when we're at MGM.

Thanks for this guys, it's quite reasuring:thumbsup2

I think I will have to get my sister to force me on it when we get there so I don't chicken out, but that's just my backup plan in case I chicken out.

Can't wait now.....Only 9 days til I take my first trip to orlando!!!! :wizard:

you HAVE to ride ToT - it is the BEST themed attraction in all of WDW....
it's really not bad....until the drop...no just kidding....it's really fun, including the drop.....

i'm sure you'll want to ride it again and again and again...and note that the rides change each time....there are several different drop sequences (the elevator goes up and down, not just down)...

Thanks for that, but I'm sure that with my older sister in tow, I'll be fine, I don't even know what day we'd be doing it on, so that doesn't help either.

Also, looking at your sig, shame you're not going to be at the P&PP the same night as us, we got tickets for the 24thpirate:

First time we went on TofT there was just the lap bar and with me being a little on the Pooh side of large the bar stopped when it got to me and poor DD, who was only 4 was a good 6 inches below the bar - so when the lift dropped she was floating in mid-air LOL

I guess that's why they changed to individual seat belts :)

same here....the first time my daughter and i rode (before my son was willing to join us), we were seated with a girth-challenged man (i don't know how many stones he was...higher than i can count)....you could have seated another person on top of my daughter and she still wouldn't have reached the bar.....
my daughter had LOTS of air time on that ride.....and we were in the front row!!!...but she LOVED it anyway.....

as for number of times in a row -- our personal record is 17 times in a row....riding...running around back into the line and riding again.....17 times....what fun!!! ...that was with my son and daugther when they were in their early teens......(and i wasn't exactly a spring chicken)....

The only thing we came close to losing was my BIL's teeth
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
This and Hulk are the only rides where I've wanted to 'bottle it' in the queues, but I did both.

Last time we did ToT I was 3.5 stone heavier than I am now - quite large!! It's like a car seat belt holding you in and I just kept thinking how on earth is that going to stop my bulk from crashing into the person in front/behind me when it snaps:eek: It didn't (obviously;) ) and felt very safe.

I have to admit to saying those immortal words "I'm never going on that one again" when we got off, but it's actually one of the rides I'm most looking forward to doing this October:banana: :thumbsup2

Go for it, the belts do a great job - and my bulk was a lot less than some of the people on there:flower3:

I loved this ride

I heard it does a different drop sequence every ride.

You would be correct. There are four (I think!) different drop sequences, and all are completely randon, so not even the CMs know what you are getting! We so how managed to get all 4 sequences in one day last year.
