Tons of people buy stuff at the expo and run with/in it. Is it bad? I dont think a belt is a big deal.
If you're an irritable runner it can definitely be a problem. And a belt, OMG. I bought a spibelt, a double. Everyone said that they don't bounce and they are sooooo great. I had to go to Seattle to get it b/c my local REI didn't have it. Didn't even make it one run. Took it off. Awful. SO bouncy. Returned it.
If I were in the middle of a race, that $30 would have ended up on the side of the road. OK no, because it would be holding all my stuff, but I would have wanted it to be gone!
I bought a hat at the Disneyland expo and wore it for the race, but that's a hat. I've worn those before. It was risky business, though, because it has a special thing in front that works like a gutter for sweat (ew) and helps move it to the back of your head (never had such a sweaty braid!). It worked, but it might not have been fun.
Does anyone here run with a runners fanny pak of some kind? I'm looking for one and would love some suggestions.
Thanks
I have had a few, and just bought another clip on amphipod (that I already despise even without running with it, and I'll be returning asap), but I keep returning to the super-basic RoadRunnerSports one that probably doesn't even exist anymore.
For longer hotter races I use a Nathan Hydration pack (the Intensity) but I just saw that Nathan updated to a new one that shows Nathan read my mind about what was wrong with the Intensity. Absolutely yearning for it, but my Intensity isn't even a year old. Anyway, that has to do with race belts because if I wear the Nathan I don't use a belt.
Only issue with the belt is that it slides from side to side, but that's only mildly irritating. If I wore it high, like on my actual waist, and tighter, it wouldn't do that.

LOL!
and at the smallest setting it really only holds two bottles. Also you may want to see if you can get the bottles with clips rather than belt loops as if you cinch the belt, the bottles ride onto the belt adjusters (a plastic thing) and getting the bottles back on while running is problematic as it hits the belt adjuster. I'll also say that if you can find a lower priced option that works for you, I'd go for it as Fitletic is pricey.

Taking time off to heal, but hoping I should be good to go by the end of the week. Then it's time for some fun, food, and a 10pm run!

I'm about 2 hours west of WDW and it's been raining nearly nonstop for days... we're still in the mid-80s for highs and lows in the mid-low 70s. If the rain stopped, we'd be up near 90, for sure. My city actually hit 101 just over a week ago.
