I told myself I was not going to get a jacket this year. And then they throw glow in the dark in the mix.The fact that I am even thinking about this, means my wallet is screwed. However, so is my knee. A few hours after my run on Saturday I walked to my car (I am in a 3rd floor walk up) and noticed I had some issues. Thanks IT band. Following Galloway's advice and resting 3-5 days (or probably all week), foam rolling, ibuprofen, vitamin c, lidocaine patches, the works. I have compression leggings and my KT tape ready for Saturday and planning on taking it slower obviously. And accepting that Sunday will be not a lot of fun, though walking is fine for me now, just stairs that are giving me grief. I don't usually have any problems with this so I'm glad it at least happened when I have a week to rest it and hope for the best. Heading out Friday VERY early. About 50/50 nervous/excited!
Is the wine colored one the runners race shirt?
I have a feeling there's going to be a themed reason for the fireball at the cloverleaf this year lol. There be dragons!
Great thought! That would be really cool.
Don't you mean really hot?![]()

Ha ha... good pointWeird question. I've heard multiple people say try to get to the front of your corral. Do you just do that by going over early? Is there a certain side or place you need to go to do that? I wasn't sure if it would be obvious where the front is.
It will be pretty obvious where the front is. Best to get there early if you are in a back corral as lots of people will be trying to get to the front.
Hoping you have a full recovery by Saturday.
I'm doing my 6 miles on Tuesday and then maybe one on Thursday but taking the rest of the week easy. 6 was suppose to be on Sat or Sun this past weekend but the blergh got me. Must say I can't wait for my tread mill to come in next week.
Oh good grief, you're right - it'll be back for sure, and likely green!I have a feeling there's going to be a themed reason for the fireball at the cloverleaf this year lol. There be dragons!
Exactly!Don't you mean really hot?![]()
I hated that fire pit last year. Seriously let's put fire on the hottest race of the year.

Same feelings.
But if they have a dragon there; an actual reason for it, then it would make it better IF they insist on having it again.
Get there early.
I was solo for last year's TOT and I'm not good in the dark so I was really confused. And a bit lonely. Sniffle. I totally messed up and waited way too long to use the portapotties. Got stuck in a long long line. Hint: if they have them set up in a giant L shape as they did last year, go to the junction of the long and short lines of the L. No one really realizes they are in there, and the lines end up shorter! If you're stuck in a long line, look elsewhere! Move! (I didn't, and...)
I missed my corral and one or two after it. It was AWFUL. So not only was I behind where I should have been, but my family had no clue where I was for ages. It wasn't the best thing ever.
Get there early, use the potties early (just get in the line, LOL, by the time you reach the front you'll probably need it), get into the corral. If you have to "go" later you can always leave the corral and use them then fight your way back.
Are corrals open right away or do they open up one at a time throughout the evening?
I had myself convinced I wouldn't buy anything as far as merchandise goes but I kinda like the shirt, the jacket, and the hat. Now what?![]()
