Tower of Terror 10 Miler 2014

The weather isn't looking to awful temp wise around mid 80's for a high and low of high 60's low 70's. The bad news 50% chance of rain hopefully it won't ruin our runs.

I never have issues with bugs at Disney - but I also don't usually stroll down the highway. For those that have ran TOT before, is this an issue at all?
Nope, not at all. No worries!

But since you aren't going to MM until 5:30, if you take an hour and a half to be seated and eat, you would probably be arriving with the first busses. So I think you would be ok!
Yep, MTE. ::yes::

That 50% is just the standard daily forecast here during the rainy summer months - which includes early Oct. Honestly, we won't have a decent idea of the race weather until the day before, and even that will be sketchy. Best forecast will be about an hour before race time. Welcome to Florida! ;)

FWIW, here's my data from the last 2 years...

2013: actual race time temps between 79-82, 79% humidity, wind 8mph
2012: race temp 79-82, 84% humidity, wind 6mph

I don't expect this year to be much different. It's been a tad cooler this week, but that's because it's been raining practically all day, every day. The few times it stopped, the temp went right back up into the high-80s.

yeah we live in NW Florida and the forecast pretty much changes twice a day. Up here we have been have cool mornings and evening because a front has come through and I guess I'm hoping it makes its way down there come race weekend. Our weather has been great this week.

What a small world we live in the panhandle, been loving the weather this week.

Our plan is to sleep in as we are doing MNSSHP the night before, head to DTD around 10AM, eat lunch @ Wolfgang Puck Cafe, possibly see a movie, and head back to the hotel around 3PM for a 2 hour nap, having dinner around 5PM and relaxing.

I am so far behind on every thread I sub'd to. I am going to try to get caught up on yours in the next day or two. Please forgive me - I bet you posted your plans better there... But are you doing ts for lunch? Wgpe is where we are planning lunch. Would be very cool to be able to

We are planning on the TS spot for lunch. Although, our plans could change as if our last trip was any indication, we switched out a lot of plans as we went.

Its ok, I'm horribly behind on other threads too - too much travel in September to keep up with everything. I've been lucky to finish all the updates for Trip #1 before Trip #2 started.

Finally got our plans down.

Friday morning arrive head over to Expo straight from beach club. Come back hang out and then head to MNSSHP.

Saturday sleep in brunch at Boma then back to Beach Club to float and hang out at Storm Along Bay. A nap will be somewhere in there and the. Eating around 6 or 7. Walking over at 8.

Sunday going to Food and Wine.

I feel silly asking this but all the trips I've planned I've never had to do this before.

Ok Friday morning 9:30 breakfast at Kona Cafe staying at SSR.

So we bus to one of the parks and then right over to Poly? Is that the best way?

Bus to any park and bus over. MK may be your best bet because then you can take the monorail or boat over to Poly.

Thank you, had a feeling, wanted to be sure since we get in so late on Thursday and have to get up for breakfast and expo.

Wife and I will be flying in Friday morning. Staying at Pop Century. After checking in we'll be going to the Expo, then heading to Disney Studios for the afternoon & maybe evening. Have to get our PB&J milkshakes at the 50s Primetime Cafe!

Saturday we have 8am Tuskerhouse reservations and Be Our Guest lunch reservations so we'll be at AK and MK then. Plus I have a Seven Dwarfs The Mine Car ride FP at 2:30pm. Then it's time for a nap by 4pm.

Sunday is our annual kamikaze day where we park hop (including a ride on Summit Plummet) and have dining at the Yak & Yeti - our favorite! And we'll also have to go on Norway's Maelstrom one last time.

Enjoy!!! Kona is my favorite Disney breakfast!!! If you are a coffee drinker, definitely get the pressed pot...so good!

Thank you, I've heard great things about Kona Breakfast, I have been wanting tonga toast forever so decided to have it Friday, as I've been told don't have anything new 24 hrs before a race. I will def try the coffee, not much of a coffee drinker but I think I need to become one, I need to cut out red bulls, going to start researching red bull vs coffee. But I'll def try the coffee, thank you for the suggestion.

Surprised that the runner tracking is not active yet.

I was wondering about that myself, I have a friend who lives in Orlando and is leaving work to come meet me at the Villains Bash, I was hoping to have tracking where she roughly knows when to leave work. And also since my mom will be at the hotel with my daughter she will be curious how I'm doing.
