I understand that you don't get daily maid service, but are you able to get more towels if needed than every fourth day?

Yes you can 'purchase' a towel pack for $6.00 per pack. It includes 4 washclothes, 4 hand towels, and 4 bath towels.

Also 1 BR and larger rooms have a Washer & Dryer right in the room to freshen up towels.

Finally, please don't borrow pool towels! The towel police, and chemistry police (apparently pool towels are laundered differently) have been known to catch violators.

Enjoy your stay.

If staying in a two bedroom, how many towels do we start out with?
Thanks,
Stefanie

you can order from Disney daily maid service - I think it is what $40 per day extra for a 2-bedroom

Housekeeping Daily Rates:
Studio - $25.00 per day requested
One-bedroom - $30.00 per day requested
Two-bedroom - $40.00 per day requested
Trash & Towel - $10.00 per day requested

You can also get daily (or as often as you like) Trash and Towels for about $10 a day.

Likely the best value for a 1 BR and certainly the best value for a 2 or 3 BR. Not only do you get a new set of towels but refill on the laundry detergent, soap and shampoo. And if you have your towels in the W/D, they will leave the new ones and you will have extra just like you ordered an extra towel pack.

Thanks Dean for pointing this out . I never thought of it this way.

SOmetimes, even though we're flying, I bring big, fluffy beach towels. It's kinda nice if we're going to have a lot of days at the pool.

What if you returned them poolside on your way out in the morning. Would this still be a no-no?

I'm told it costs more to launder pool towels than regular ones due to sanitation guidelines. But obviously if you're at the pool and wet, you're not going to drop the towel so you can walk back wet, dripping and cold. So to me it depends on intent. I have a real problem with those that take the pool towels so they don't have to pay for extra towels but have no issues with the normal use I mentioned above.

Well, intent is a large part of the law so you do have a valid point. It is a little bothersome that sanitation guidelines are stricter for pool towels though, since pool towels have a much lower chance of coming in contact with a persons personal areas. Hmmmm....

I had no idea that when I submitted such a simple question it would turn into such a hot topic :) I just love being a member of this board :)

Hints:

Next ask about room occupancy.

Then ask about Professional Renting and Price Per Point.

Follow up with a Refillable Mug Question.

Then end with a contrast of SSR and anything else. (PoP, AS, Mars, frogs, the color of the sky, just anything!)

Watch the sparks fly.

If you're really brave you could ask how to pre-book multiple high-demand weeks and then rent them, but this is only for advanced, fire-resistant, insanely brave individuals!

Not to mention the towels would be filled with chlorinated water.

Actually, I would imagine sanitation guidelines are higher for in-room towels, just because they are laundered differently doesn't mean the in-room towels are less sanitary...the pool towels probably have some chemicals added to counteract the chlorine. Remember, most pool towels are stored outside, so probably aren't heavily "sanitized" compared to room towels.

Ah- I was just going by this. I did not really consider getting the chlorine out as costing more to sanitize since chlorine is a sanitizer. I must have misunderstood.
