Towels in general

We are planning to go to the water parks and of course use the pools at POR -- is it easier if we just bring along a towel? I was thinking buying some cheap towels or bring some older ones that we can just leave there to make a bit more room for anything we may purchase if we need to bring our own

Thoughts?

You would only need your own towels for the water parks. You can use the resort towels for the pool. But you can rent towels at the water parks.

It's up to you if you want to take your own. But realize if you leave them at Disney World, they will be taken to Lost and Found and then eventually thrown out. It's my environmental mode coming on but that seems like a waste to me.

I find it easier to bring my own towel to the water parks- that's a good idea to bring a cheap one and just toss it. No one will want to steal an old one, too.

You can rent one but then you have to stand in line for that and it's a small scratchy towel. I usually bring one big one and my bf and I share it.

I always take a pool towel to the water park. There are used towel drop off baskets scatered around each water park so you don't have to carry your wet towel back.

Resort towels are never big and comfy enough IMO. I bring my own.

We took resort towels last year and it got a little cool as we were leaving and they weren't big enough to warm any of us up. If it is warm, no bigee, but if you go during cooler times, take your own bigger ones.

i have always brought beach towels from home i buy them on sale
beach towels at disney are $20 - $ 25 disney store had them for $6 on sale yhey are good towels and will last several years even walmart have beach towels on sale

Kohl's has their kid beach towels on sale. We got a $18 towel for $4.74 yesterday. DD5 got a mermaid one and DD3 got a girly bug one. They had boy ones too but I can't remembe what was on them.

Is it a big no-no to just take one from the hotel as long as you take it back with you?
