Towels for Bahamas port stops

We'll be on a Bahamas cruise soon, and are trying to keep our packing minimized. I'm wondering about beach/pool towels during port stops in the Bahamas (i.e. do we need to bring beach towels ourselves, or are towels provided):

1) At Castaway Cay, does Disney provide any towels on the island. I'm sure they don't have the large beach blanket types, but I'm wondering about basic towels.

2) For Nassau, we're planning on going to Atlantis Aquaventure (on our own, not via Disney excursion). Does anyone know if Atlantis provides towels there? Or, do we need to bring them with us?

In either case, I'm assuming Disney doesn't want you taking pool or bath towels off of the ship, but I guess that would be another option if they did allow it...

1) Yes, there are towels on Castaway Cay, pretty much the same as the bath towels. There's someone handing them out after you get off the ship (I usually take 2):

2) In my experience, there are towels available for taking from the ship. Or you can get the towels from the pool area to take along. Just remember to bring them back. Unlike other cruiselines DCL (at this time) does not make you check out pool/excursion towels or charge you if you don't return them.

Thanks! Very good to know, and that saves us a good amount of packing!

I'd still be curious if Aquaventure has them available, just so we don't have to bring them from the ship ourselves. I found an old thread saying that they had them free 6 years ago, but I'm curious if it's still the case, now.

I found this on the Atlantis website:
our Atlantis Aquaventure Day Pass is a Full Day Excursion and Includes:
  • Water Slides - 18 thrilling water slides
  • River Rides - The Current & The Rapids
  • Pools - 11 distinctly different pools
  • Beach - Miles of white sand & crystal water
  • The Dig Aquarium
  • Lounge Chairs & Towels

When we were returning to the ship from CC it was raining. Not only did cast members hand out ponchos but also warm towels once we got onboard. It was so nice.

We just did Aquaventure in April and there were PLENTY of pool towels there. No need to bring them :) Have fun!

Here's a pic of DM at Atlantis-you can see all the pool towels on the chairs around her…
