Does the Poly provide towels at the pool for guests? If so, are they decent sized or just regular bath towels? We leave tonight and are wondering if we need to pack our beach towels or not!

We went to the poly in 2006 and there were towels. I can't remember the size.

They are good sized...not beach towel size but larger than an average bath towel.

There are always a well stocked supply of white towels at the Poly volcano pool (as well as the quiet pool, but I haven't used that one). They are not large enough from my point of view so I usually grab a couple.

Yup they are smaller then a beach towel, but a little bigger then a bath towel. If you can I would take beach towels.

Chances are the towel 'hut' is locked. We usually swim at night and about 50% of the time a CM opened it up so we could get towels and other times it was locked. This was about 9pm or so when the lifeguards were off-duty.

Enjoy your trip!

yes they and i steal one every trip...they are nice my cat is sitting on one right now

theres a plastic towel caddy thing on wheels over by the quiet pool i always had towels in it, but take 2 as they are on small side.

Why would you steal a towel from a resort? :confused3 I am not trying to be snarky - I just really don't understand

a) wanting a poolside towel that has been used and washed 1000 times
b) stealing
c) publicly admitting to stealing:eek:

I noticed the same thing when walking by the volcano pool after the lifeguards were no longer there.

Thanks for your input! We have decided to take our own beach towels and then supplement with Poly towels when necessary.

I'm sure she did'nt steal it, with the amount of money she had to pay to stay at the Poly, they should through in at least three or four of them!!:rotfl:

I'm thinking that poster may have escaped from Maelstrom... ;)

One year I took a washcloth from the Poly. But it was by mistake. When we got home and I was unpacking it was mixed in with the dirty laundry. Ooops!

I'm sure part of the reason the Polynesian is so expensive is to recover losses from "stolen" items (its the same with any resort). If they were very worried about their towels, I don't think they would give away free towel animals.

That being said option a) does weird me out :rotfl2:
