Just curious - the only time we ever got towel animals(besides on the Wonder) was when DD was 6 and we were at one of the All Stars (Sports I think). Since then we've stayed at the other two All Stars, POR & CSR. Never a towel animal - but DD was 9 or older every time after that and didn't bring any stuffed animals or buy "little" kid souvenirs to make it obvious a kid was there. I'm curious if that has anything to do with whether they make towel animals or not.

We stayed at Pop in April '04 and we got towel animals all but one day. I didn't know at the time how special it was to receive one. They were arranged in our window (usually) or on the bed along with a few stuffed animals we brought for DS (3 at the time). We stayed at POFQ in Dec '04 and no towel animals, even though it was quite clear by all the stuffed animals that a child was in the room.

We stayed at CBR in 2003 and got numerous towel animals. My daughters were 13 and 15 at the time. We didn't have any little kid souvenirs or stuffed animals. I don't know why we got them, but my daughters loved them. It was a fun surprise after a day in the parks.

We got animals at WL when our party consisted of DS 9 and me (the Legos in progress on the lower bunk bed were a good sign that a child was in residence, I'd guess). My grandmother and I got different towel items (tooth brush holders, extra towel holders, shells, a sailboat) when it was the two of us.

We did not recieve any at CSR. We recieved 1 at the Cont., several at CBR. This past trip at Pop, we only received 1. It was a clown, and the housekeeper brought it after we had returned to the room.

DD5 and I got them at Pop Century this past May, but as a family, we never did before. Well, we did get them on the Disney Cruise, but I think that is expected there.

I didn't really vote because in 6 trips, I've only had 2 towel animals made. Not 2 trips where we got towel animals each night, but total of 2 animals, one was a bird and the other was a bunny. That's it.

However, mousekeeping has arranged our stuffed toys and DS's blankie around.

I don't go to Disney expecting a towel animal. If I get one, great, if not no big loss. My kids don't even expect it.

This past January we had my 8y/o GD with us and it was obvious because her 'Bunny' stayed on her pillow all the times. We did not get towel animals at the WL nor at the AKL.

In May I was traveling solo. I didn't get any towel animals at BW, but got three every day at POP. They would be sitting in my window when I came in. I'd pick them up and put them on the extra bed in my room. I got a couple of swans, an elephant, a bunny, and two I never could figure what they were. But they were cute. Where I was staying at in POP (50's Lady's Building) everyone had them on their window sills every night. I brought them home to my GD.

In May of 2004 we got them every night of our stay at WL along with my kid's stuffed animals set up in cute ways (holding the remote or the beanies sitting in a towel canoe). In November of 2004, none at CSR. At the Poly, May 2005, none :confused3 . No rhyme or reason why you get them. It is fun when you do though!

Stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in 2004 and when it was Dixie Landings and never saw a towel animal on my bed... however been to Mexico and Dominican and had one every night!!!

We got a towel animal duck toothbrush holder thing at POR in 2003. We had our kids with us. And we got one last year, another duck but not a toothbrush holder, at ASSports and had the kids with us.

FWIW I have been to disney 2-5x a year for the past 10 years with kids and never gotten a towel animal!! We have stayed at almost every resort. I think we have stayed everywhere but Pop, GF and the BW. My dh always tips houskeeping generously, not for animals, but for all they do.

So - many many great trips and all without one towel animal.

We are taking a cruise in Feb - perhaps I will see with the fuss is about.

We've stayed in many of the resorts. I think we've gotten towel creations of one kind or another at all of them. Sometimes just simple things in the bathroom, sometimes very complicated ones all over the place.

My kids are now 18 and 20, so it's not because they're little.

The mousekeeper at the WL last year really outdid all others. We had towel creations all over the place....angels on our headboards, toothbrush holders in the bathroom, soap holders by the tub, and other things I can't remember..

And of course on the Disney Wonder, we got some really complicated ones. Each day something different.

We didn't get towel animals, but I'm trying to recall if, with all the moving between resorts (hurricane) if we even gave housekeeping a chance to enter our room... LOL :)

I think It's down right rude when people expect the special extras that some people may put into their work. Remember everyone, yes, even Disney CMs are individuals and I think vacationers have a tendency to forget this, expecting only the best. Some folk will work faster than others and have time for such extras, while others won't think about them because they're overworked, have been having a rough time, or perhaps they just choose to put their extra effort into the work itself.

In all honesty though, I would not expect a busy housekeeper to make animals or any special display for us. I'd be VERY surprised if we did return to anything like this and probably seek her out to give her a special thank you.

We got towel animals and didn't have young children. We got them when we stayed at CBR in 2000 and again on our honeymoon last year. Both times, no children. We were always pleasantly surprised and thought they were cute. It is a nice touch, but I would never expect it or be upset if there werent towel animals in my room whether we had kids or not.

We've received towel animals all stays at AKL that were concierge, and our stay at Pop. At CSR our stuffed Pluto was tangled up in the curtains and our animals were put around the room in various poses one night.

We were at POP on May 2004. We got a total of 3 towel animals. Just DH and I, no children. We even talked to our Mousekeeper the day we were leaving. She was so friendly, she told us how much she enjoyed making the animals. Then she told us to take them home with us. She insisted! Trust me, She was tipped very well. :)

Here are the 2 that we got last Sept at the WL.

We stayed at the CBR last december and everyday got several towel animals. On our last night at the resort, we came back to the room and there was a big towel clown w/stickers and other towels animals I can't remember, anyway, the mousekeeper wrote my dd's a note about their stay at WDW and that we should take the towel animals home...

We have stayed at POR twice, once we didn't have any towel animals and the second time we had several towel/stuffed animal arrangements and one Easter Bunny in a Basket made of towels. The first time when we didn't have any towel arrangements, the kids didn't leave stuffed animals around the room. This last time when we did have towel animals, I put the kids animals neatly on the made beds when we left the room. Our first trip, I didn't miss the towel stuff because I didn't know about them or about tipping Mousekeeping. This time, we saw the Mousekeeper right after she finished making an intricate towel arrangement which included the kids' various Stitch toys on multi-level stages and the other toys/animals seated in towel stadium seating with a little note "Enjoy the concert...see you Thursday" (the next day was to be her day off). We talked to Zenia, the mousekeeper, tipped her personally, she signed the kids books and took pictures with them. She said she does it because she knows the kids come back from the parks tired and it's nice for them to have a surprise. I made sure I let Guest Relations know how she went above and beyond just for the kids. When we saw her was the first time we tipped her and we left the next day so she wasn't doing it for just tips.
