My DH and I plus 2 friends go to Disneyland once a year and thoroughly enjoy ourselves. But we try to do something new each time and were wondering about the guided tours. I read the description of "Walt's Footsteps" and "red Carpet" and thought they sounded good. We did the Back Stage Magic in WDW and had the time of our lives; would these tours be of interest to people who have really "done" Disneyland? I would really appreciate input on this.

Thanks so much.

<font color=navy>I've done the Walk in Walt's Footsteps and the Holiday tours, but not the red carpet one.

I think if you like trivia, then you'd like the tour - also, don't be afraid to ask questions.

I don't think it compares to the one at WDW, though, from what I've heard.

I heard that the Walk in Walt's Footsteps is not as cheap as it used to be. It is now I think 49 bucks and includes lunch, and a pin. It is still 2 1/2 hours. Does it include a look at Walt's apartment?

If you mean Walt's apartment over the fire station, no, it doesn't include that. It's supposed to include a visit to the Disney Gallery which was also originally built as a family apartment. It was closed when I went on the tour so I don't know if you just go into the Gallery like anyone else can, or if you get to see some closed to the public rooms.

The tour is $49/per person. I enjoyed it, but did think it was a bit overpriced. For lunch you get your pick of sandwiches/salads with a drink and dessert. My sandwich was very skimpy on fillings.

ADisneyPrincess, I just read on another thread that this tour also included a look at the foyer of Club 33, is that not going on now?

Yes, you do get to go inside the Club 33 foyer still. You can take pictures and they tell you about the club. You don't get to go upstairs however.

I have done the WDW tour "Keys to the Kingdom" twice and I just did Disneyland's "Walk in Walt's Footsteps". They are very different tours. "Keys" is about WDW and the theming with some trivia. "Walt's" is all about Walt. Lot's of trivia. We did get to go into the Disney Gallery which was going to be Walt's apartment. We stood in the foyer of Club 33. The turkey sandwich for lunch was pretty good. It was great to eat on the balcony of the Disney Gallery!

Hope this helps!
