DH, DS1, MIL and I are leaving Thursday :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc !!! My mom bought us a great guide book - The Unofficial Guide to WDW. The book has "Touring Plans". Has anyone had any experience with these? Do they really save you alot of time? Do we even need to worry about it this time of year? Thanks for any suggestions!

HI!!!

We sort of used them. It really depends on what attractions you will see. If your baby is easy going and not scared of the dark, you can still do Peter pan and Pooh. Maybe Pirates. I would stay away from snow white.

Use the baby swap when needed.

Here are some things I think your little one will be okay on:

MK
Dumbo-head there first, Carousel, Pooh, Peter Pan, Tea Cups (slowly), small world,
Country bears, the train, jungle cruise, Aladdin, Pirates, Toontown!!! there is a little play area there, plus character meet and greets. Buzz lightyear, tomorrowland transit, carousel of progress

AK-
safari, lion king, pocahontas, triceratops spin, petting zoo (take the train over)

MGM- playhouse disney

Epcot- living seas, food rocks, circle of life, journey into your imagination. We always go to Epcot at night with our little one. The fountains are so great!!!

It won't be crowded this time of year. Get to the parks about 30 minutes early, though. Take a mid-day break and go back at night. It's just too much "stimulation" for all day. Let your baby enjoy the pool. Have fun!!!

Hi ineedpixiedust,

I wrote the software the Unofficial Guide uses to create its touring plans. I'd recommend using the child-oriented plans where possible, especially in the morning. Those plans also include a mid-afternoon break, too, which should be nice for everyone.

As to whether they save a lot of time, the answer is yes. During busy times, the one-day touring plan of the Magic Kingdom can save up to five hours of standing in line. This time of year won't be nearly that crowded, but again, it's probably a good idea to follow the plans in the mornings at least.

If there's anything else we can help with for your trip, please let me know!

Sincerely,

Len
