Which do you all use to help plan how you will go about the parks...

The touring plans or mike

what is the difference?

I have both.

With only 13 days before you leave, you definitely want www.touringplans.com It's much easier to navigate than TGM. You can find touring plans that meet your family dynamic-- "families with small children" in each of the parks. It will also give you a good idea of which park to visit on each day.

TGM has some of the same info, but it's harder to find and sometimes outdated.

If we get to WDW again in a few years, I'll definitely subscribe to touringplans again. Probably not so with TGM.

I had both and Touring Plans is sooooo much easier to navigate. I got lost in Tourguide Mike's information. I emailed them for assistance but never received an email or call back. I am sure they have tons of info but it was waaaaay more than I was willing to go through.

Tour Guide Mike! :thumbsup2

TGM doesn't give you a go here, go there plan specific to you(although there are some sample plans)but tells you how to come up with your own plans and also tells you the least crowded parks for the days you are touring that are IMO much more accurate than Touringplans.com. I am members of both, but honestly, I just like to plug my TGM plans into their custom touring plans to print off and take to the park. TGM has friendly forums that will help you with your itineraries. What I really like is that he teaches you how to think when you are planning- and I've used the strategies at other parks and events like Day Out with Thomas.

I was kinda leaning towards touring plans .... I have all of our ADRs and a rough sketch of our week. I just wanted to get the BEST route of what to see when.... which I guess I really like touring plans... I want something step by step. I don't have time to learn anything new right now :lmao:

You might like Ride Max better than the other 2. You can enter the times for an ADR or a break during the day. You can also enter the time that you plan to arrive at the park and it figures out the best plan based on your touring needs. It's more of a custom touring plan. This is the website:
http://www.ridemax.com/
Once you input your date and park, a screen comes up. It has a section called tips and hints. This includes a best days section.
I've used TGM and Touring plans but was disenchanted. Ride Max really fills in the gaps the other 2 have.

We are currently using TGM and I think it is a little difficult to navigate. Just my thought.....:confused3

Ride Max sounds pretty cool...

I was hoping touring plans had a "plug in the rides you want on the day you want and we will create a itinerary for you" but they don't....

Ride Max has that exact feature. Plug in the rides and it figures your plan. It's 16.95 for 90 days or 26.95 for a full year.

I have both...would probably use both again. I have learned a lot from TGM for my last few trips. If you just want touring plans I like the concise format of TouringPlans.com compared to TGMs plans. I too am basically plugging in TGM info on the custom touring plans. TGM is a little hard to navigate & I tend to not want to wade through all the extra stuff (outdated too - still has MGM touring plans and is missing newer attractions to the parks). Do love TGM's forums. Definate gaps in both though...will check out ride max.
