Touring Plans gives Epcot a 2 on March 18th and a 1 on the 20th at AK. How accurate is Touring Plans?

That would shock me if it were the case. That is right during many Spring Breaks. I would imagine it would be fairly busy.

We have been several years for spring break and I would say that Epcot would be at least a 4-5, we have also used touring plans and had a good experience.

WDW has considerable limitations at present. The limited capacity, no FP+ etc. have made it pretty tough to do crowd estimates. I like Touring Plans and have been a fan of Len Testa's work for a long, long time, making estimates when changes are coming and going is not practical.

No way that I'd rely on anybody's projections in the current circumstances.

AK can get pretty crowded on weekends. March 20 won't be super heavy into spring break but it will definitely be noticeable and certainly not a 1. EPCOT on a Thursday could be a 2, but with social distancing and depending on whether you spend time in Future World or World Showcase it'll feel much higher. There will be bottlenecks in World Showcase with F&G going on.

I would say quite accurate.

Even during Spring Break those parks will be at a lower capacity than in the past so it seems likely they are correct.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but wondering what everyone's take is on the TP Lines app.

I know since Covid, the wait times on the MDE app are wildly inaccurate. Wondering if if is worth the subscription just for app and wait times.

They'll be updated and raised. Our dates for next week were all upped after disney lengthened hours. Extended hours is a big data point for TP for anticipated crowds so it usually takes them about a week after hours are released to update crowd estimates. With disney changing hours so late, TPs changes end up even later. I'm sad about the new levels for our dates, for sure. March 4-10 and went from 1s and 2s to 3s and 4s and a 6 or two.

But OPs dates are already extended for those two parks. 11am-11pm for Epcot and 8am-8pm for AK.

Right. Give it another few days.
Then to OP’s original question it’s not a very good crowd predictor is it? Especially since we’ve all known for weeks before the hours got extended that mid March was going to be crow-a-palooza with spring break for most of Florida and Texas.

It reminds me of that scene in Mean Girls where Amanda Seifreid says “There’s a 90% chance it’s raining right now.”

I use the the TP lines app Oct 21-26 and plan to use it again April 3-7. I found it very accurate and helpful. The more real time crowdsourced data they better it works. I hope with it being the week after Easter many people are inputting their start and end time for each line they go through.

During Spring Break? Even with Co-Vid, not a chance.
Since the parks closed down and re-opened, I don't believe any of the crowd calendars. Most are based on historic data, which means nothing with capped attendance. Only Disney really knows how busy any park will be on any given day and they aren't giving out that data.
During Spring Break, it used to be an 8-9, I would guess at least a 6 on any given day.

Interesting comments here. Many seem to suggest Spring Break this year can be compared to other years. I have noticed many high schools and colleges are skipping a spring break altogether. I would be surprised if the crowds are ridiculously crazy. We did not find crowds awful on NYE, we go every year.

I expect the same for March. Lines and waits will be long due to physical distancing but I bet we don’t see shoulder to shoulder masses at the choke points as in years past. My 2 cents...

I would agree that it will be crowded, but less so than previous years.
Around us, 2 of the 3 major universities have cancelled Spring Break, but our elementary through high schools still have Spring Break.
