Hi all!

I know there are many Universal Studios experts in these forums
and I could sure use your help. I will be at Universal on 11/21 and 11/22.
Unfortunately, I don't have a FOTL pass. I am staying at WDW buy have a rental car. I really need to have a game plan.

We have 7 day unlimited 2 park passes. We also have a 6 YO that is a roller
coaster weenie (so no coasters) He has no problem with spinning or fast
just heights.

Would someone be willing to help me with suggestions on what to tour
and when? We could possibly go back on 11/23. Also we have plans
to go to Disneyland in Jan, so if this can't be accomplished in 2 days, we
can try to go in Jan.

Also, is there a dining experience in Universal that we shouldn't miss?

Thank you so much! This is my birthday trip and I am so exhausted from
work, I have no time to figure this out!:worship:

Thank you so much!!!!!!
Stephanie

Since you're going before Thanksgiving the crowds shouldn't be too bad. I would plan on getting there early and doing what you can before the crowds start to arrive. Most people don't really have a touring plan so to speak since Universal is much more laid back than Disney so don't sweat the details.

As far as dining goes, I would recommend either Mythos (table service) or Thunder Fall Terrace (counter service) at IoA. It will depend on what you're looking for and how much money you want to spend. At the Studios, I would suggest either Finnegan's (table service) or Louie's (counter service) for the same reasons.

check out:
www.universalorlando.com

look at the interactive map

read through and get a description of the rides and shows for each park.
notice any height restrictions.

base your plans on the rides you can all enjoy as a family.
plan out the order for the attractions if you can so you can enjoy the entire park in that day.

the locations for food will also be on the UO website map.

hope your 2 days there will be fun for all of you.

Not sure if "Fear of heights" equates to simulator rides...

We usually do US/IoA in One Day....it is a VERY different experience than WDW!

We've done every US/IoA ride/Attraction (except Jaws) but over the years we drifted into only doing the ones the Teens love ...since mine are teenagers now...

That being said...

Simpsons ride is to be treated similar to TSM ..in that it is the newest Non-Coaster ride at US/IoA and will draw long lines quickly. I am afraid of Heights myself..and you will have "simulator heights" on this ride...but I just shut my eyes on this if I get nervous..and I have to say Simpsons..is my FAVORITE ride of all time..so far... (Shhh....don't tell WDW).

Mummy is a coaster-type ride. It's a great ride. but does have dips...but it's enclosed so you don't see heights...might want to try it.

We usually make the loop for US...making sure to get to Simpsons early...then get to Mythos for Lunch....then make the loop at IoA...and we do just fine..fewer waits.

My favorite rides are Simpsons, Spiderman and Mummy (in that order). Let me know if you have a specific question. Touring plans arent as much an issue at US / IoA...

Have fun,
Mary
