touring L.A.

My DD23 and are planning our first trip to DLR for next June. We just took a trip to WDW (my first, her second) and want to go to DLR. I was born in L.A. and went to Disneyland when I was little, but we moved when I was about 6. My DD told me today that she would like to take a day-trip to L.A. We will be flying down and won't be renting a car. Are there any packaged tours that you recommend? If so, how about transportation? Thank you! I'm so excited to go to the park of my youth! I was born the month after Disneyland opened.

I do not know about L.A. tours. But do be careful about choosing dates. A lot will be happening at DLR in June 2012 with the opening of Cars Land and many are delaying trips to late June or even July.

Thanks, Hydroguy. I've been keeping tabs on the refurb and we might be going mid-June. Hoping to beat the crowd holding off til Carsland is open. It would give us an excuse to go back another year when Carsland won't be so packed....I hope!
