We are driving down in January. We plan to take a resort tour day and see the following...

Grand Floridian
Art of Animation
All Star Movie Resort
Animal Kingdom Resort

And finishing with Wilderness Lodge for dinner. We are staying at Fort Wilderness and plan to walk from WL to FW after dinner (home sweet home).

We are in no hurray to get to one hotel after the other and would like to take Disney transportation to tour. We can drive but if possible prefer not. Should we start with a boat ride to MK and then the monorail to Grand Floridian or do you just walk to Grand Floridian.

You would need to take the monorail to Grand Floridian. I don't remember seeing any pathway from MK to GF, and I think it's a bit far around the lagoon to walk anyway. They only resort in walking distance is the Contemporary.

We can take the boat from FW to MK and then the monorail to GF.

Now what about getting from GF to tour AoA & Movie value resort?

There are no 'resort to resort' buses, so the best thing is to go back to MK and take a direct bus to AoA.
Yep. And from AoA to Movies, use any park except MK as a transfer point (it's way out of the way).

Edit: AK (if it's open) is a perfect transfer point for Movies to AKL.

You can of course drive to all these resorts with your own car. But you stated you'd prefer to use WDW transportation, so here's my advice to do so:

- To get to GF, I'd take the boat from FW to MK. Then go to the GF/Poly dock at MK and get on the boat to GF. It's probably going to be faster, and more direct to get to GF this way than the monorail, which has multiple stops before coming to GF. You can't walk from FW to GF (well, not safely).

- Once done at GF, take the monorail (only one stop) or the boat back to MK, and then catch a bus to one of the other three resorts you want to visit. When done with each resort, go to the closest park (or first park bus that arrives at the resort bus stop), and get on the bus to the next resort, ending with WL.

- After dinner at WL, I highly recommend getting on the boat back to FW rather than that walking path. The boat is a very nice and short trip, and it's safe. That path, though nice, is unlit and I wouldn't feel safe on it after dark.

Thank you! Can you want from AoA to Movies? And if so how far is the walk?
No, not walkable. AoA and POP are. All of the All-Stars are, with each other. But AoA and Movies are across the southern part of the property from each other.

Here is a map so you have some ideas of where the resorts are in relation to each other: http://allears.net/tp/wdwpropertymap.pdf.

Although All-Stars to Pop Century is only 3-4 miles away, they are very busy roadways.

If I was doing the resorts you mentioned, I would start at FW, boat to MK, boat to GF, monorail to MK, bus to AKL, bus to AK, bus to All Star Sports, walk though Music to Movies, bus to AK or DHS, bus to Pop, walk to AoA, bus to MK, boat to WL, bus to FW.

The All Stars,Sports,Music and Movies are next to each other and walking distance from each other.Art of Animation is next to Pop Century and also walkable via a bridge.
