I hate it when I have to ask this question, but what is YourGuideMike? I always pride myself with knowing so much aout Disney but this board always has great stuff I never heard of!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Just wondering.. when I go into the site..only some resorts have pictures...I did not join..Is there pics of all the resorts if you join???thanks..amy

I just recently joined Tourguidemike.com and can't say enough about it! He really does tell you some things that you won't find elsewhere. I also have the PassPorter and find that both guides are excellent. If you can get both, do so. It is worth having both of them. And, if you keep reading these boards, you will have a complete WDW expert package! Two big thumbs up for TourguideMike.com!

corvair,
Mike's site is fairly new and constantly evolving. He wrote a little blurb on why all the pictures are not up yet - just look on the left hand side where all his comments are and you'll see it at the bottom. His site is excellent and he really knows his stuff. Well worth the money IMHO.:D

Does anyone know if we can use it for a 2004 trip ? ( 21 months away ?) Thanks Michelle the site looks soo cool.

I have been with TourguideMike since the onset (thanks to Mary at Mousesavers.com) I also have the Passporter. The Passporter shows better maps of the resorts and the room layouts plus has the added feature of a kid's point of view (author's daughter). TourguideMike on the other hand tells you when to make your PS, gives you a calendar for the month you book and tells u all the times of parades, fireworks, ee,etc so that you can plan to your hearts content. Between those 2 guides, mousesavers, passporter.com boards and this board I'm pretty confident that I saved a ton of money. I booked ASMo orginally and then switched to CBR after the codes came out. I learned how to "stalk" the airlines and saved poogoo bucks on airfare which actually allowed me to book 2 extra nights:D Both the passporter as well as Mike's are well worth the money and I highly recommend them both!!!!!!

I posted about this on another board, but no one knew the answer...

I signed up for tourguidemike on November 4th or so...the first day Mary told us about it.

I love the site, but the majority of the vacation articles are not yet written yet. Am I doing something wrong or have other people noticed this also? (This is after I log into my vacation planner, then click on vacation articles. Many of them are not published yet.)

I'm very frustrated with this, lol. Love the site, but assuming these articles still are not written, I have to wonder why this site is up and running if I'm not getting all of my money's worth at this point?

Good point, Melrosgirl. Good enough to e-mail Mike himself and either request access to what you paid for, credit or refund of your payment!

If you paid with a credit card you can request a refund and an inquiry into the situation, especially if it is far less than what you thought you were buying. I would never pay full price for anything less than full service!

That is if you paid.
If you are just taking the promo tour, not everything will be available until you become a member...

Send them an e-mail and explain your concerns to them. The last thing any of these businesses want is a bad rep on any travel board!

Melrosgirl, I second the comment that you should write to Michael and get some help with using the product, because you're definitely missing something. :D

If you are an AVP subscriber, there are over 200 vacation planning articles. Just a handful haven't been uploaded yet, so you should not be running into a "majority" or anything close to a "majority" being missing!

It's possible that if you subscribed early on, the articles were not loaded into your planner. It's easy to add them -- get Michael to help you, he'll gladly do so!

The 200 articles I mentioned are in addition to extensive supplementary information throughout every area of the site, that you don't get on the free site.

I hate to see you missing out on what's available!

This is the first time I have ever posted anything anywhere, so I am a bit nervous. About tourguidemike, I would like to say that most of his articles are done, and they are all excellent. Sometimes it takes a little bit to figure out how to navigate his site, but if you have any questions or cant find something, just email him, I have always recieved an answer. (and promptly!) One of the very best things about tgm, is the current information you can get about wdw, like which is the very best spectro to go see in March to avoid crowds.
This is my first visit to WDW with my own family (I went lots as a child) and was very nervous about going during the march break with all the crowds. I have been planning and saving for this trip for 2 years. I found tgm through mousesavers on the first day too,(thank you thank you Mary!) and I have been smiling ever since. There is now dust on all my old guide books because I dont need to open them...with the exception of passporters. I love passprters hotel sections and map section, and the way it gets you organized. With these two things and my mousesavers site, I am confident of having a great time of disney.
Uhhmm, I hope this does not sound too much like an advertisement for tgm, the thing is though, that I feel so strongly how great this site is, it is the first time I have ever posted anything anywhere in a public site. I give tgm two thumbs up and a halleluiah!!

Melrosgirl-

If you are opening "My vacation articles" you are missing alot of other articles throughout the site. Many of them I found by just browsing and opening up everything. After you find something you like you then add it to "MY vacation articles".

I personally can't wait to try it out.

:bounce:  :bounce: HURRY OUT, promo code! :bounce:  :bounce:

It is a fantastic idea to have a source with the potential to update the info faster than printed sources, all in one site and allowing you to bring only what you need with you!

As a pioneer, I think this site has great potential and foresee other traveling tools resembling what this one has to offer.

thanks for the info.

I still can't get 9 out of 10 of the hotel articles to come up. They are still showing as not yet published. (for instance, under hotel articles...the "should I use a travel agent" article still says yet to be published, etc.)

I appreciate your help though. I've been using this site for 3 months and it's a nice site...just found it a little frustrating that all of the articles are not published. It's Murphy's Law, the one article you really want is the one that is not published, lol.

Hi Melrose girl

You know that specific article that you wanted from Tourguide Mike? Check it out!!!no its not written yet but I think you might find it interesting!
Here is another tip for all those avp users out there. Keep checking back to those itinerary articles he has already written, sometimes the information changes in them . For example (without being too specific...lol) check out his Early Entry day articles on MGM and the magic Kingdom. A week ago his premium hint on the f/p machine is different than what it is today, apparently disney has just changed a pertinent factor in using the f/p machine on Extra Magic hour days in the last few weeks, and he tells you what it is now!!!
Cheers

:Pinkbounc :) :Pinkbounc

I think I am getting the hang of this!
How do I generate the countdown feature, you know the days left til disney?
